Israpundit is now totally unable to take a political position in support of the Serbs against Islamofascism in the Balkans. This at this precise reaches a critical point with the arrest by Serb Quislings of the Serb Bosnian patriotic leader Radovan Karadzic. And the reality is that if you cannot defend Karadzic and the Serbs then you will not be able, or in a position, to defend Israel against the very same forces, the forces of Islamofascism and the forces of US Imperialism.
The sickness in Israpundit as a site which aims to give leadership to the Jews and to Israel runs very deep indeed. The support for McCain is an expression of this sickness.
Make no mistake we on 4international are opposed to both Obama and to McCain as president of the US. We say the only correct path for patriotic Jews in America, that is patriotic to Israel their Homeland, is to vote for neither McCain and Obama.
Does this mean doing nothing. Of course not! Use the election to hold meetings independently in order to rouse the great American people in defence of Israel and to warn of the dangers to Israel from both these two candidates.
The support of Israpundit for McCain is really the support for a man who in the 90s stood behind Izetbegovic in particular.
But who was Izetbegovic and why is this record of McCain so crucial. McCain in supporting Izetbegovic was supporting the very close colleague of Hajj Amin el Husseini in the Balkans.
Both of these men were Nazis, both were members of the NMazi Muslim Brotherhood, and they were joint members of this Nazi organization as the Holocaust in the Balkans gained full momentum.
As joint members of this Nazi organization at the time the lives of hundreds of thousands of Jews, Serbs, Gypsies and Homosexuals lie at the collective door of these two monsters.
Below is a picture of Hajj Amin el Husseini in discussion with Hitler. But remember that Eliaj Izetbegovic was as a joint member of the Nazi Muslim Brotherhood at the time part of this alliance with Hitler. He was representative of the alliance between Islam and Nazism in the Holocaust.
Bosnian Muslim Imams, Islamic clerics, as members of Heinrich Himmler’s Nazi SS
This historical material is the connection to the present and to the support which McCVain and Joseph Lieberman gave to these very same Nazi forces against the Serbs.
The betrayal of Israpundit and editor belman on this score was anticipated by the Jewish lawyer from Canada, called Bill Narvey, who fought to separate the struggles of the Serbs against Islamofascism from the struggles of the Jews in Israel.
The pictures above show precisely the history that Narvey was for some reason so desparate to keep hidden. As I said the sickness in Israpundit has deep roots.
Yet much knowledge exists and much has already been written for Jewish people to see the dangers from McCain on this score.
Here on 4international we have great pleasure in reproducing just some of these.

“He did everything that we asked of him, including arming the KLA”, said Albanian lobbyist Joe DioGuardi. The Albanians collected one million dollars for the presidential campaign of this senator.
Americans of Albanian heritage collected a million dollars in one evening for the presidential campaign of Republican Senator John McCain, said the Albanian American Civic League yesterday, the lobby group headed by former Congressman Joe DioGuardi. A reception for McCain was held January 22 at the Saint Regis Hotel in Manhatten, and the senator, who is now leading in the runoff for the Republican party candidacy in the November elections, cut his campaign in Florida by one day to attend this gathering.
“Even in 1998 when we had problems with Milosevic, McCain did everything that we asked of him to the benefit of the Albanian people, including arming the KLA”, announced DioGuardi. “We are American Albanians and we need a leader who will strengthen this country… We must support John McCain because he did everything we asked of him for Kosovo, from supporting the Kosovo Liberation Army to supporting the independence of Kosovo. Two years ago he spoke in Brussels and said that independence is the only solution”, concluded this former congressman who has been fighting for the independence of Kosovo and Metohija for more than twenty years.
He explained that the first thing McCain said to him when he entered the hotel in Manhatten on January 22: “Joe, I saw your people in Michigan, and in South Carolina and in New Hampshire”, from which this lobbyist deduced that all Americans of Albanian background will be voting for the senator from Arizona.
DioGuardi and his wife Shirley Cloys-DioGuardi have been friends with McCain for years, and he intervened several times in the Senate on behalf of the Albanians. Because of that, the Albanian American Civic League awarded him the “Balkan Award for Peace” a year and a half ago, and the initiative was the proposed Senate resolution – which McCain wrote – in which thanks is extended to the Albanians for “saving all the Jews who lived in Albania or who sought shelter there during the Nazi Holocaust”.
However, even though he is leading in the presidential nomination, John McCain has not yet succeeded in convincing the primary wing of the Republican Party – the conservatives – that he is the right candidate. One of the reasons is that he often spoke and voted against the majority Republicans, as in 1999 when he asked for more intensive air bombing of Serbia.
In April of that year, three weeks after the bombing commenced, he announced that the US is in danger of losing the war to the Serbian Army which has “antiquated machinery” and “absolutely no military air power”, if massive strategic air attacks are not initiated. “Attacks on any infrastructure target must not be prevented. We all regret civilian losses, as well as our own, but they cannot be avoided,” he said.
During the pre-election campaign in February 2000 at a meeting in Manhatten, John McCain asked for the release of all Albanian prisoners in the prisons of Serbia proper, and a year later he used his inlfuence to ask the administration for an urgent investigation into the killing of the brothers Bitici who were taken from prison and killed in the police training center in Petrovo Selo in eastern Serbia. This February 5 the senator held another meeting in Manhatten and in the public there was a visible Albanian flag.

McCain calls for Kosovo independence at Munich Conference
February 8, 2008
SERBIANNA
Front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination of the United States, U.S. Senator John McCain today said that NATO should be the foundation of “global order of peace” built on a “foundation of freedom” and said that Kosovo should be recognized as independent.
“It is time to bring Kosovo – and the Balkans with it – out of the 1990s and into the 21st century by recognizing Kosovo’s independence. Eleven years ago, that region was in flames, characterized by ethnic cleansing and widespread violence. For the first time the region is today poised to move forward, with final status for Kosovo and transitioning continuing responsibilities there to increasing European control – at long last closing the door on the region’s painful past,” says McCain’s statement.
McCain also added a point on Serbia saying that “We must ensure that Serbia can look toward the future as a modern and prosperous European nation. The proud people of Serbia have turned aside the temptations of ultranationalism in favor of moderation and a western orientation. The European Union has taken an important step by offering to establish regular political ties with Serbia, open up trade, and end visa restrictions. Now it can take the next step by setting forth a path to EU membership.”

He also swallowed the Racak hoax whole. Not a good sign…

He needs to make up for this. You can’t arm Islamofascists and then claim you’re going to win the war against them unless you show more leadership than we’ve seen to date, leadership which acknowledges that there are bad Islamofacscist elements, domestic and foreign, in Kosovo.

The McCain Albanian connection has been there for a long time http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a38b698747d0a.htm McCain made his national name on backing the 1999 NATO Bombing on behalf of the Albanian KLA http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/campaigns/wh2000/stories/mccain040799.htm
No one outside of Arizona really knew his name before that.

Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona, who spent more than five years as a prisoner of war in Vietnam, insists the United States should be preparing its troops for a ground war in case that option became necessary.McCain was one of a number of members of Congress travelling to Brussels and Aviano, Italy with Defense Secretary William Cohen in the next three days to meet top NATO leaders and visit U.S. forces involved in the operations.

The scary thing about a McCain presidency is that we may again be bombing Serbia
Serbia has just elected a very pro-Serbian govt who wants to keep Kosovo at any cost
Kosovo is the ancient homeland of the Serbs. This means quite a bit to them
Also, not only McCain may be helping Islamofascists, he will hurt further…already strained relations w Russia. Russia and Serbia are cultural and religious cousins…
McCain foreign policy could be as scary as Obama/Hillary

Finally, I present excerpts from a January 16, 1997 press release from the United States Senate Republican Policy Committee, condemning the Clinton Administration for supporting Islamic militants in Bosnia. The press release documents connections between Bosnia’s Alija Izetbegovic and Iran, but then goes on:
Not Just the Iranians
To understand how the Clinton green light would lead to this degree of Iranian influence, it is necessary to remember that the policy was adopted in the context of extensive and growing radical Islamic activity in Bosnia. That is, the Iranians and other Muslim militants had long been active in Bosnia; the American green light was an important political signal to both Sarajevo and the militants that the United States was unable or unwilling to present an obstacle to those activities — and, to a certain extent, was willing to cooperate with them. In short, the Clinton Administration’s policy of facilitating the delivery of arms to the Bosnian Muslims made it the de facto partner of an ongoing international network of governments and organizations pursuing their own agenda in Bosnia: the promotion of Islamic revolution in Europe. That network involves not only Iran but Brunei, Malaysia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan (a key ally of Iran), and Turkey, together with front groups supposedly pursuing humanitarian and cultural activities.
For example, one such group about which details have come to light is the Third World Relief Agency (TWRA), a Sudan-based, phoney humanitarian organization which has been a major link in the arms pipeline to Bosnia. [“How Bosnia’s Muslims Dodged Arms Embargo: Relief Agency Brokered Aid From Nations, Radical Groups,” Washington Post, 9/22/96; see also “Saudis Funded Weapons For Bosnia, Official Says: $300 Million Program Had U.S. ‘Stealth Cooperation’,” Washington Post, 2/2/96] TWRA is believed to be connected with such fixtures of the Islamic terror network as Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman (the convicted mastermind behind the 1993 World Trade Center bombing) and Osama Binladen, a wealthy Saudi emigre believed to bankroll numerous militant groups. [WP, 9/22/96] (Sheik Rahman, a native of Egypt, is currently in prison in the United States; letter bombs addressed to targets in Washington and London, apparently from Alexandria, Egypt, are believed connected with his case. Binladen was a resident in Khartoum, Sudan, until last year; he is now believed to be in Afghanistan, “where he has issued statements calling for attacks on U.S. forces in the Persian Gulf.” [WP, 9/22/96])
[snip]
The Mujahedin Threat
In addition to (and working closely with) the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and VEVAK intelligence are members of numerous radical groups known for their anti-Western orientation, along with thousands of volunteer mujahedin (“holy warriors”) from across the Islamic world. From the beginning of the NATO-led deployment, the Clinton Administration has given insufficient weight to military concerns regarding the mujahedin presence in Bosnia as well as the danger they pose to American personnel. Many of the fighters are concentrated in the so-called “green triangle” (the color green symbolizes Islam) centered on the town of Zenica in the American IFOR/SFOR zone but are also found throughout the country.
[snip]
Stepping-Stone to Europe
The intended targets of the mujahedin network in Bosnia are not limited to that country but extend to Western Europe. For example, in August 1995, the conservative Paris daily Le Figaro reported that French security services believe that “Islamic fundamentalists from Algeria have set up a security network across Europe with fighters trained in Afghan guerrilla camps and [in] southern France while some have been tested in Bosnia.” [(London) Daily Telegraph, 8/17/95] Also, in April 1996, Belgian security arrested a number of Islamic militants, including two native Bosnians, smuggling weapons to Algerian guerrillas active in France. [Intelligence Newsletter, Paris, 5/9/96 (No. 287)] Finally, also in April 1996, a meeting of radicals aligned with HizbAllah (“Party of God”), a pro-Iran group based in Lebanon, set plans for stepping up attacks on U.S. assets on all continents; among those participating was an Egyptian, Ayman al-Zawahiri, who “runs the Islamist terrorist operations in Bosnia-Herzegovina from a special headquarters in Sofia, Bulgaria. His forces are already deployed throughout Bosnia, ready to attack US and other I-FOR (NATO Implementation Force) targets.” [“State-Sponsored Terrorism and The Rise of the HizbAllah International,” Defense and Foreign Affairs and Strategic Policy, London, 8/31/96] Finally, in December 1996, French and Belgian security arrested several would-be terrorists trained at Iranian-run camps in Bosnia. [“Terrorism: The Bosnian Connection,” (Paris) L’Express, 12/26/96]
Senator McCain has been on the wrong side of this all along, and as a Republican in the United States Senate, he must have known about this fact, as documented by Senate Republicans going back to 1997, one year before the date that ethnic Albanian groups claim “McCain did everything that we asked of him to the benefit of the Albanian people, including arming the KLA”.
Perhaps Senator John McCain, Republican from Arizona, decorated Navy veteran and war hero, and contender for the US Presidency, is another whose name needs to be added to the list of those who take bribes from foreign organized crime and terrorists?
Why is everyone in the US government and the US media so silent on the Sibel Edmonds case?
On the politics forum of Albanian.com is a thread entitled The Candidates on Kosova … and perhaps beyond. Here are selected excerpts:
(R) Senator John McCain who made his name nationally known by advocating the 1999 NATO Bombing of Serbia. Back in 1999, McCain even advocated the we send American troops into Kosova on behalf of the KLA. McCain has consistently been on the Albanian American Civic League’s payroll and even marched with them a year after the NATO intervention. McCain receives 47% of his campaign donations from $2,300 or more contributors. McCain is a conservative Republican and aggressive interventionist.
[snip]
So it looks like on Super Tuesday Albanians should endorse Senator John McCain for the republican party and Senator Hillary Clinton for the Democratic party.
I dont think Obama or Mitt Romeny gives a hoot about Kosova independence
So vote on Super Tuesday to make sure that Senator John McCain and Senator Hillary Clinton Wins!!!!

John McCain armed Kosovo Islamic terrorists
Of course, helping the KLA was all the rage at one time, with the usual short-sightedness and Fantasy-Based Analysis that generally prevails in Washington. We can only hope that if McCain is elected (and I still rather suspect that the Clinton Machine will prevail over all obstacles and win the big prize, although I’d be just fine with being proven wrong), this is one of those things he wouldn’t do again.
Why? D Martyr explains at Al Salibiyyah: “The KLA – The Kosovo Liberation Army – is an Islamic terrorist group responsible for beheadings, torture, rape, burning down churches filled with Christians, and other atrocities. To this day, the KLA insurgency continues the systematic persecution and genocidal cleansing of Serbian civilians residing in Albania. The former leaders, enjoying life as high paid politicians in the Albania Government, are unapologetic for the crimes committed.”
From Svet (thanks to D Martyr):

Why am I not surprised? The McCain platform – 1. Keep the borders open so that terrorists can have easy access. 2. Expend American lives and treasure for the next hundred years to keep Sunnis and Shiites from killing each other. 3. Take out any government that dares stand in the way of Muslim expansion.

Given that McCain has seemingly budged on immigration only because he risked losing with that stand, why would anyone expect him to depart from his stand on Kosovo just 2 years ago – particularly given that it’s not an issue that Christian Conservatives seem to care about? This is exactly one of the myriad reasons that JW’ers should not even consider voting for Jihad McCain. Don’t listen to members of the Republican Guard who tell you to fall in line for party unity. McCain’s claims of being the top Jihad fighter notwithstanding, he is a Jihadi in Kosovo.
We made our mistakes in the 90s in Kosovo. Let’s see whether Barack has the same plans. Regardless, if Barack tries doing the same thing, there is a possibility that Congressional Republicans will oppose him. If McCain does it, not only will there be no such opposition – it’s also doubtful that Congressional Dems will stop him.

The extent to which the Serbs were vilified both in the MSM and from senior politicians on both sides of the Atlantic can only be understood, when the same adjectives, etc are applied to the victims of Al Qaeda violence. for example, if the same vocabulary were used about, say, 9 11, London, Madrid, etc.
Remember that the Serbs, both in Kosovo and ( with the Croats for a short time in ) Bosnia, were fighting the Jihadists. 1,000s of Mujahideen who were equipped by the Iranians, amongst others were the victims of horrific crimes by these MB groups.
Yet, the crude propaganda war waged against the Serbs was of tsunami sized proportions. Relentless and repetitive lies from TV, newspapers to a public that for the most part had absolutely no idea of the history, the people, the culture of this area.
For example, William Crystal, a very prominent Neo Con, proudly anounced that some Serb skulls should be smashed. He and his fellow panelists on the US program, “This Week with David Brinkley“, were exultant, positively beaming, when the US finally admitted that they’d worked with the Iranians on arming several 1,000 Mujahideen. Cargo planes from Saudi and Iran, etc would fly, untouched into the Balkans, delivering their deadly cargo to Bin Laden. This, it seems, is nothing more than a chucklesome mirth making stunt. A giggle.
“Gee, we helped arm Bin Laden. Woooooooeeeeeeee!”
Imagine the same light hearted tone about the arming of the terrorists in 9 11. Can you imagine it?
Claire Short, the UK minister, called the Serbs “bastards” and said that those who supported Serbia were no different from the Hitler supporters/appeasers.
A year after NATO war, Lord Robertson held a self congratulatory party in Racak, with a gaggle of dancing KLA terrorists in tow and with red nose to boot. Now there had been a massacre in the small village but not the one widely reported about in the press. A couple of days prior to the widely publicised so called “massacre“, a Serb police convoy had been ambushed by Islamist terrorists, the Serb policemen – who were both ethnic Albanian and ethnic Serb. Yugo police patrols were nearly ALWAYS of mixed ethnicity, Rom, Serb, Albanian, Macedonian, Turk, etc – were brutally slain.
So, NATO openly celebrates the anniversary of a terror outrage. No. Strike that, they openly celebrate an Islamist terror outrage against Infidels.
NATO countries pay the pensions of KLA terrorists. They let vile terror attacks on infidels go unpunished and in fact reward the Islamist murerers.
Despite the KLA being routed during the air campaign, NATO continued to mock the Serbs for being unable to protect the 100,000’s of refugees who fled further into Kosovo. 1,000’s more perished with NATO/KLA refusing to help.
Articles in oh-so serious newspapers had headlines like “Serbs ‘Em Right”
Geddit?
Imagine the same headlines about the victims of 9 11 or London. The same shrug of the shoulders, the same “you had it comin’, so why are you complaining?“
Now imagine the exact same attitude to, say, 9 11 or London, 7 7. i.e. simply substitute “Serbs” for “New Yorkers” or “Londoners“. Imagine the absolute, justifed, outcry.
“So the Mujahideen have murdered 1,000s of infidels in Serbia ( strike that, New York )? So what, we think it’s hilarious. Really we do, we’ve just said so on a TV talkshow. In fact we fully supported the decision of the US government to fund and train the Mujahideen who’ve been slaughtering countless Serbs ( whoops, New Yorkers ). We really do think that Serbs ( sorry, New Yorkers ) are bastards and that their skulls should be smashed too. And on every anniversary of that date we’ll hold a great big celebration where we honour the Serb murdering ( cough, New York murdering ) terrorists. Oh, and we’ll mock the inability of the Serb ( US ) authorities to help the countless victims of the terror attack and we’ll publish articles pointing out how the victims deserved it all. Oh, and we’ll rub their noses in it by paying the salaries of the Serb murdering ( oh dear, New York murdering )terrorists too. HA HA HA HA. Oh, and by the way, if anyone does not agree with us, we’ll accuse you of being no better that Hitler apologists”
See?

When the Albanian refugees were streaming over the border, they gave accounts of their experiences to many NGOs.
Now this is funny, but many of these refugees multiple statements were word for word – and I mean every word was the same – identical as they gave accounts of what they’d seen.
Imagine it, the chaos on the border, 10s of 1,000s of people, all in a state of flux, yet, when interviewed, you give the EXACT same account of what you’d experienced and witnessed in your many interviews.
WORD FOR WORD
( This came to light in the Sandra Mitchell witness testimony in the Milutinović trial at the ICTY )

Kosovo declares independence.
The people who are laughing are (in no particular order )
a) Bin Laden. Albanian SHIK Intel chief, Fatos Klosi( sp ) spoke of Bin Laden being in Kosovo and northern Albania in 98 to help organise the 100’s of Mujahideen there.
b) Paedophiles. The Kosovo Albanians are World leaders in the under age sex slave market.
c) RIRA. The KLA were recently caught trying to sell SEMTEX, anti tank mines, shoulder launched anti aircraft missiles and enough ammo for a small army to this terror group. Point The REAL IRA are so extreme the IRA, Sinn Fein, et al refuse to touch them.
d) Neo NAZIs. A large section of the KLA, based around their strongholds in central Kosovo, are heirs to the noble Skenderbeg SS Division. This particular SS unit helped guard the trains that took Jews, Slavs, Rom, to Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.
e)MAOISTS. The leader of Kosovo, Thaqi, is a Maoist. Think North Korea. Think mass murder. Think Pol Pot. Think lunacy. You’ll get the picture.
f) Anti Semetites. The entire Jewish population was torched out of their homes en masse in the days following the withdrawl of Serb forces.
g)Heroin Dealers. The KLA control most of the heroin coming into Europe. Now they have their little own country. A safe base. Untouchable. Ain’t that sweet.
h)Racists. Under Belgrade rule, all the many myriad ethnic groups were respected: Turks, Rom, Macedonians, Circassians, Egyptians, Goranis, Montenegrins, etc. Now, all the minorities are dog meat.
So, there we have it. The scum of the Earth can rejoice.

Reading these remarks above about the support which John McCain gave to the Islamofascists in the Balkans and to the Islamofascist Jihad in the Balkans against the Serbs shows that Israpundit has dug itself into an enormous hole.
The editor Ted Belman has joined with McCain and American Imperialist advocates like Bill Levinson and a big part of their campaign to have McCain enter the White House is to keep this record silent.
That is where the betrayal of the Jewish people comes in. It is on that silence that the betrayal takes place because Jewish people need to know every aspect of the politics of these guys running to be President.
Note that 4international has never opposed exposing the pro Palestinian Arab and reactionary policies of Obama. But Jewish people need to have the whole truth explained to them.
The above silence on McCain also leads Israpundit into a position where it will refuse to support and defend Radovan Karadzic against the islamofascists of Izetbegovic and his descendents, and against the British and US ghastly Media Lies.
Silent on this, as Julia Gorin and Bokababe have repeatedly said, is like cutting a rod for your own (Jewish) back!

ITN’s BIG LIE
Neil Craig’s A Place To Stand has this new post about ITN’s Penny Marshall perjuring herself on British national television last night, slandering and libelling Radovan Karadzic as running “concentration camps” in Bosnia:
ITN SHOWS THEIR FILM AGAIN & CLAIMS IT WAS A CONCENTRATION CAMP
Reporting on the arrest of Karadzic last night the ITN news showed their notorious concentration camp film again. They said that it was genuine & proved that Karadzic had been running concentration camps & even wheeled on Penny Marshall to say how good it was.
The only problem is that ITN know & indeed have accepted that it was a lie albeit an allegedly “accidental” one. In the ITN-LM trial ITN, in the names of its reporters, sued LM magazine for reprinting an article, previously published in Germany, saying that the film had been faked. What appears above to be people being held behind barbed wire, as would be necessary in a concentration camp, were actually on the outside of an electric transformer compound ITN’s crew had entered to “accidentaly” film them thus.
ITN essentially relied for their defence not on saying that people really were behind the barbed wire but that they had not noticed what they were doing. The judge was helpful:
But isn’t it clear, after examining the unedited pictures and the bundle of photographs from Mr. Deichmann, that before the [Bosnian] Civil War the area surrounding the garage…and the electrical transformer was fenced in? This fence was made up of tall metal posts on the top of which was fastened barbed wire and below ordinary wire mesh. It had a gate to the east bound street. Ian Williams, Penny Marshall, and her camera crew openly contradict themselves if they say they did not realize they were surrounded by the old barbed wire fence….’ Judge Morland then said: ‘But does this matter at all to the case?’ He reminded the members of the jury what this Libel case was about. The central question which the jury had to decide on was: In the eyes of the court did LM lie when it said that the ITN reporters deliberately published a misleading photo?”
By telling the jurors that, based on the unusual British libel law, they should decide for ITN unless they were convinced that ITN had deliberately misled the public, the judge set an impossibly high standard for LM.
However ITN have now disowned the accident defence. If, knowing the facts of the court case, ITN are repeating the lie that it was a concentration camp this casts doubt on whether it ever wasn’t a deliberate lie.
The judge disallowed evidence that ITN had told her to find concentration camps or not to bother coming back so they could not use this in deciding whether she was or was not perjuring herself when saying that it was an accident. The claim last night, that the film showed a concentration camp clearly shows perjury credible.
The linked article expresses surprise that LM did not appeal. I am merely speculating & have not talked to anybody from LM or its successor Spiked but it is reasonable to assume that what happened was that ITN offered a non-disclosure deal whereby LM were not forced to pay costs so long as they didn’t appeal or continue campaigning on Yugoslavia. I couldn’t blame them for accepting. If there was a combined legal & damages bill for £675,000 that is a pretty horrible millstone to lay on anybody & if ITN ended up picking up that bill this was a victory of sorts. Certainly nobody in LM seems to have declared bankruptcy, as was widely predicted at the time & Spiked, while producing a large number of intelligent & well thought out politically incorrect articles have noticeably declined to mention Yugoslavia since then, even today.
Fortunately for me the European Human Rights Convention has been incorporated into British law since then, as it was in Germany when the original article was published & ITN didn’t sue. This convention guarantees in Sect 10
Everyone has the right to freedom of expression. this right shall include freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart information and ideas without interference
which means so long as something is information ie factual it can be said. It is a condemnation of British alleged liberties that it required a European convention to allow freedom of speech in this country.
Hopefully the police will show as much interest in the accuracy of Ms Marshall & her compatriot’s testimony about accident, in light of their & ITN’s repetition of their claims, as they have in Mr Sheriden’s infinitely less important activities.
