VISIT BY POPE BENEDICT IS TO BRING HIM CLOSER TO ISLAMOFASCISM

By Felix Quigley

November 27, 2008

Pope Benedict plans to visit Israel and the PA in May. It makes us wonder what is the game of the Vatican this time.

On the one hand the Catholic Church is coming under serious atack from Islamist Fascism everywhere in the world, especially in Iraq as well as all Arab lands.

But on the other the Vatican is the most serious and oldest counter revolutionary force in the world. It seems that the Vatican wishes to strike a concorde with Islam because the world crisis of capitalism is driving the masses towards revolution. These two Islam and the Vatican are natural friends.

Furthermore Peres is behind the invitation to Bededict.

The papal visit to the Palestinian Authority is expected to renew the Vatican’s relationship with the Muslim world, which has soured in light of Benedict’s citation of an anti-Muslim text.

Dozens of sheiks and other Muslims marched in Hevron last Wednesday to protest recent remarks that were made by Pope Benedict XVI that some have interpreted as insulting to Islam.

Benedict had quoted a Medieval text which called the teachings of Muhammad “evil and inhuman,” particularly “his command to spread by the sword the faith.” Although the Pope later explained that the quote does not reflect his personal views, Muslims worldwide staged protests and attacked Christian churches.

Let us recall that former conflict between Benedict and Islam

2,000 Palestinians protest pope’s quote about “evil and inhuman” Muhammad
By Associated Press  September 16, 2006

About 2,000 Palestinians angrily protested Friday night against Pope Benedict XVI, accusing him of leading a new Crusade against the Muslim world. Earlier, Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, of the Islamic Hamas group, said the pope had offended Muslims everywhere.

Two churches in the West Bank were hit by firebombs early Saturday, and a group claiming responsiblity said the attacks were meant as a protest against the Pope’s comments.

The firebombs left black scorch marks on the walls and windows of a Greek Catholic and an Anglican church in Nablus. Father Yousef, a priest at the Anglican Church, said several firebombs hit the outside wall of the church.

In a phone call to The Associated Press, a group calling itself the “Lions of Monotheism” claimed responsibility. The caller said the attacks were carried out to protest the pope’s remarks about Islam.

The Vatican said the pope did not intend the remarks — made in Germany on Tuesday during an address at a university — to be offensive. Benedict quoted from a book recounting a conversation between 14th century Byzantine Christian Emperor Manuel Paleologos II and a Persian scholar on the truths of Christianity and Islam.

“The emperor comes to speak about the issue of jihad, holy war,” the pope said. “He said, I quote, ‘Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.'” Benedict did not explicitly agree with the statement nor repudiate it.

“In the name of the Palestinian people who live on holy Palestinian land, we express our rejection of the comments made by the holy pope about Islam as a faith, its religious law, history and way of life,” Haniyeh said Friday. “These comments hide the truth and hurt its blessed essence.”

“We call on the holy pope to reconsider his statement and to stop offending the Islamic religion that has a billion and a half followers,” he said.

On Friday night about 2,000 protesters gathered outside the Palestinian parliament building to express their anger at the pope’s statement. “This is a new crusade against the Arab Islamic world. It comes in different forms, in cartoons or lectures … They hate our religion,” Ismail Radwan, a local Hamas official, told the rally.

Outrage around world
Muslims around the world expressed outrage Friday over Pope Benedict XVI’s comments, with Turkey’s ruling party accusing him of trying to revive the spirit of the Crusades and scores taking to the streets in protest.

Pakistan’s parliament unanimously condemned the pope, and the Foreign Ministry summoned the Vatican’s ambassador to express regret over the remarks.

The comments raised tensions ahead of his planned visit to Turkey in November – his first pilgrimage to a Muslim country. Salih Kapusuz, a deputy leader of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s party, said Benedict’s remarks were either “the result of pitiful ignorance” about Islam and its prophet, or a deliberate distortion.

“He has a dark mentality that comes from the darkness of the Middle Ages. He is a poor thing that has not benefited from the spirit of reform in the Christian world,” Kapusuz was quoted as saying by the state-owned Anatolia news agency. “It looks like an effort to revive the mentality of the Crusades.”

“Benedict, the author of such unfortunate and insolent remarks, is going down in history for his words,” he said. “He is going down in history in the same category as leaders such as (Adolf) Hitler and (Benito) Mussolini.”

Lebanese cleric denounces remarks
Lebanon’s most senior Shiite Muslim cleric denounced the remarks and demanded the pope personally apologize.

“We do not accept the apology through Vatican channels … and ask him (Benedict) to offer a personal apology – not through his officials — to Muslims for this false reading (of Islam),” Grand Ayatollah Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah told worshippers.

After Benedict returned to Italy on Thursday, Vatican spokesman Rev. Federico Lombardi said, “It certainly wasn’t the intention of the pope to carry out a deep examination of jihad (holy war) and on Muslim thought on it, much less to offend the sensibility of Muslim believers.”

Lombardi insisted the pope respects Islam. Benedict wants to “cultivate an attitude of respect and dialogue toward the other religions and cultures, obviously also toward Islam,” he said.

Turkey’s top Islamic cleric, Ali Bardakoglu, said Lombardi’s comments were not enough. “The pope himself should stand at the dais and say ‘I take it all back, I was misunderstood’ and apologize in order to contribute to world peace,” he said.

UK Muslims ‘disturbed’ by incident

The head of Britain’s largest Muslim body said it was disturbed by the pope’s use of a 14th century passage. The Muslim Council, which represents 400 groups in Britain, said the emperor’s views were “ill-informed and frankly bigoted.”

“One would expect a religious leader such as the pope to act and speak with responsibility and repudiate the Byzantine emperor’s views in the interests of truth and harmonious relations between the followers of Islam and Catholicism,” said Muhammad Abdul Bari, the council’s secretary-general.

In Cairo, Egypt, about 100 demonstrators gathered in an anti-Vatican protest outside the al-Azhar mosque, chanting “Oh Crusaders, oh cowards! Down with the pope!”

Elsewhere, Syria’s top Sunni Muslim religious authority, Sheik Ahmad Badereddine Hassoun, sent a letter to the pope that he feared the comments would worsen interfaith relations.

Later, he delivered a scathing sermon in which he denounced the remarks. “We have heard about your extremism and hate for Arabs and Muslims. Now that you have dropped the mask from your face we see its ugliness and extremist nature,” he said.

MORRIS ABRAHAM WILL NOT MOVE FROM HEBRON

by Felix Quigley

November 27, 2008

(IsraelNN.com) Peace House owner Morris Abraham came to Israel on Wednesday to stay in his building in Hevron. Abraham expressed determination to stay in the Peace House and resist any efforts to force Jews from the building. “Nobody is going to push me out of my house. I’m here,” he told a cheering crowd.

Abraham said he had purchased property in the city of Hevron due in part to his legacy from his grandfather, who survived the 1929 Arab pogrom in the city. “When we are terrorized or we are victims, we can’t just walk away,” he said. “We have to stay, we have to come back, we have to show our presence…. in all yishuvim [communities] and in all of Eretz Yisrael [the Land of Israel].”

Abraham showed reporters the original sale documents proving his ownership of the building. He offered to provide copies to all those present.

We on 4international send our full support to the wonderful Jewish people who wish to live in the town of Sarah, one of the most important figures in Jewish history, where her tomb is reputed to rest.

Our support for the Jews of Hebron is in some contrast to the notorious Gene Zitver who has referred to these wonderful and historical Jews as “hoodlums”. The renegade Zitver is supposed to be a Jew and he or one of his associates on Harrys Place have blocked my posts there protesting against Zitver’s betrayal of the Jews, his own people.

IS US IMPERIALISM INVOLVED IN SUPPORTING ISLAMISTS IN INDIA AS IN ISRAEL?

The issue of Islamofascism is in the news today as Islamist terrorists have hit Bombay

This report is from INN

[Begin quote here]

Also among the nine sites struck by the group throughout “the city that never sleeps” was the Chabad House, a popular stop for Israeli tourists passing through the area who are provided with kosher food and Jewish programs there.

Three top police officials were among at least 101 dead in the attacks, including Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) Chief Hemant Karkare, Additional Commissioner Ashok Kamte and encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar, reported IBN News, which said  Karkare had received death threats in phone calls at his home within the past several days.  More than 250 people were reported wounded in the attacks, and nearly 200 reported taken hostage in various locations around the city.

The terrorists demanded that India release “all mujahedins,” telling a local television station that “only after that will we release the people.” Several other Israelis have maintained telephone contact from their eighth-floor hotel rooms. The Chabad website reported that “the situation is grim.”

American and British nationals were being separated out from among other foreigners and held as hostages, according to one British citizen who told Sky News television that he had watched as a gunman asked a group of some 40 hostages for their country of origin. Those who were from Italy, he said, were released, but British and American citizens were held.

British European Parliament Member Sajjad Karim told the television network before his cell phone went dead that he was barricaded in a darkened restaurant in the basement of the Oberoi Trident Hotel. “We are now in the dark in this room and we have barricaded all the doors. It’s really bad,” he said. Some 200 people were reported being held hostage at the hotel.

It is also estimated that there are still between 45 to 50 hostages being held by the terrorists at the Taj Mahal Hotel, located near the Chabad House. Five terrorists were reported dead and 14 police officers were killed as well in an exchange of gunfire at the hotel, where thick black smoke billowed from blazing windows on the upper floors.

All movie theaters, entertainment centers and multiplexes were ordered to remain shut due to fears that terrorists were still at large and roaming the city. Schools were closed as well, and it was not clear whether the stock market would be open on Friday.

NDTV reported that Indian security officials believe the terrorists may have infiltrated into the city by sea. There is little regulation in the Bombay Harbor, noted the journalist in his report. Nariman House is located in the southern part of the city, along the water.

The sophisticated terrorist attacks, the worst ever in Mumbai and India, hit as Mumbai is involved in elections. Incoming U.S. President-elect Barack Obama and currently sitting President George W. Bush condemned the attacks, as did French President Nicolas Sarkozy, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and France as the current president of the European Union.

Foreign nationals from Australia, Britain, Italy and Japan are counted among the victims thus far.

This raises the issue of Islamofascism and it also raises the support which US Imperialism is giving to Islamists in many parts of the world. Especially in Israel where the US Government is actually training an army of Islamists, also called “Palestinians”, and is doing so to provide them with a Jihadist state of their own.

It also raises the issue of the creation of Kosovo as an independent Islamist state and also of course of Bosnia where the main leader Izetbegovic was a confirmed and lifelong Islamofascist leader, given total support by the US and EU.

So on to India. There are 3 countries which US Imperialism has within its sights, Russia, China and also India. These are 3 massive and powerful countries and it is a fact that the US Imperialists used the Islamofascists to destroy Yugoslavia as well as to destroy the Soviets in Afghanistan.

So we have to wait and see if we get more details of these cruel attackers in India. But the pattern has truly been set. Is US Intelligence involved and will we know?

It could well be that the CIA as well as British Intelligence has had a hand in this butchery and that Jewish people staying on holiday could suffer grievously, just as the Jews of Sderot are being attacked mercilessly by Arab Palestinians, thanks also to the CIA and to US Imperialism there.

US Imperialism is in dire crisis, economic and political. It was the thesis of Jared Israel that the US Empire would more and more create strife and mayhem in order to prolong its own power base and to drive against its enemies. India is certainly a competitor enemy of US Imperialism. We should be aware of the ramifications to this story and event.

ISRAEL MUST NOT RETURN TO THE “AUSCHWITZ BORDERS”

by Felix Quigley

November 17, 2008

The Saudi Peace Initiative: “Auschwitz Borders”
First Introduced by King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, March 28, 2002

November 18, 2008 | Eli E. Hertz

What Arab countries failed to achieve by use of force during the past 60 years, they hope to achieve by this renewed Saudi ‘Peace Initiative’:

Israel to withdraw to the non-secure borders that existed prior to the 1967 Six-Day War, borders that invited aggression – frontiers that the eloquent former Israeli diplomat, the late Abba Eban, branded “Auschwitz borders.”

Illegal Arab aggression against the territorial integrity and political independence of Israel in 1948, 1967, and 1973 cannot and should not be rewarded. Arab attempts to ‘roll back the clock’ as if nothing happened, are a baseless ploy designed to use the ‘Peace Initiative’ as leverage to bring about a greater Israeli withdrawal from parts of Judie and Samaria [western Palestine] and to gain a broader base from which to continue to attack Israel.

Furthermore, Saudi Arabian King Saud ibn Abdul Aziz had stated in 1954 – before the 1967 Six-Day War and before the ‘Occupation’: “The Arab nations should sacrifice up to 10 million of their 50 million people, if necessary, to wipe out Israel … Israel to the Arab world is like a cancer to the human body, and the only way of remedy is to uproot it, just like a cancer.”

Saudi Arabia is one of the worst offenders of civil, religious, and political rights having a ‘judicial’ system that sanctions stoning individuals to death for adultery, beheading criminals with a sword, and amputation for theft, including cross-amputations of a right arm and a left leg that leave offenders horribly disabled for life.

Freedom House, a non-sectarian organization that was founded by Eleanor Roosevelt to monitor civil rights around the world, stated in its 2008 survey that Saudi Arabia is “Not [a] Free” country. Political rights and civil liberties are absent or virtually nonexistent, and people experience severely restricted rights of expression and association – all as a result of the extremely oppressive nature of the regime.

Professor, Judge Stephen M. Schwebel, past President of the International Court of Justice (I.C.J.) made it clear: “No legal right shall spring from a wrong” and this principle of law applies to Saudi Arabia as well.

Why would anyone make a deal with this kind of regime?

THE 1967 WAR WAS TO EXTERMINATE ISRAEL

by Felix Quigley

November 27, 2008

On May 15, Israel’s Independence Day, Egyptian troops began moving into the Sinai and massing near the Israeli border. By May 18, Syrian troops were prepared for battle along the Golan Heights.

Nasser ordered the UN Emergency Force, stationed in the Sinai since 1956, to withdraw on May 16. Without bringing the matter to the attention of the General Assembly, as his predecessor had promised, Secretary-General U Thant complied with the demand. After the withdrawal of the UNEF, the Voice of the Arabs proclaimed (May 18, 1967):

As of today, there no longer exists an international emergency force to protect Israel. We shall exercise patience no more. We shall not complain any more to the UN about Israel. The sole method we shall apply against Israel is total war, which will result in the extermination of Zionist existence.6

An enthusiastic echo was heard May 20 from Syrian Defense Minister Hafez Assad:

Our forces are now entirely ready not only to repulse the aggression, but to initiate the act of liberation itself, and to explode the Zionist presence in the Arab homeland. The Syrian army, with its finger on the trigger, is united….I, as a military man, believe that the time has come to enter into a battle of annihilation.7

On May 22, Egypt closed the Straits of Tiran to all Israeli shipping and all ships bound for Eilat. This blockade cut off Israel’s only supply route with Asia and stopped the flow of oil from its main supplier, Iran. The following day, President Johnson expressed the belief that the blockade was illegal and unsuccessfully tried to organize an international flotilla to test it.

Nasser was fully aware of the pressure he was exerting to force Israel’s hand. The day after the blockade was set up, he said defiantly: “The Jews threaten to make war. I reply: Welcome! We are ready for war.”8

Nasser challenged Israel to fight almost daily. “Our basic objective will be the destruction of Israel. The Arab people want to fight,” he said on May 27.9 The following day, he added: “We will not accept any…coexistence with Israel…Today the issue is not the establishment of peace between the Arab states and Israel….The war with Israel is in effect since 1948.”10

Myths & Facts – The 1967 Six-Day War

THE ANTISEMITIC ISM WISH TO HIDE THE LEAGUE OF NATIONS MANDATE

Galloway and the Irish anti-Semitic ISM are adding to the injustice

The injustice done to the Jews of Israel of today is seen by looking back to the very origins of the issue in the Middle East. Knowing that the Jews were the most oppressed nation that the world has ever known (and still are just look at the resolutions of Jew and Israel hatred from the United Nations as just one small example of total contemporary anti-Semitism) the League of Nations gathered together post World War 1 wrote the following which is from the official League source

[start quote here]

The text of the mandate stipulates:

Whereas the Principal Allied Powers have also agreed that the Mandatory

should be responsible for putting into effect the declaration originally made on November 2nd, 1917, by the Government of His Britannic Majesty, and adopted by the said Powers, in favour of the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people;

Whereas the Principal Allied Powers have selected His Britannic Majesty as the Mandatory for Palestine; …

Article 2.

The Mandatory shall be responsible for placing the country under such

political, administrative and economic conditions as will secure the

establishment of the Jewish national home, as laid down in the preamble, and the development of self-governing institutions, and also for safeguarding the civil and religious rights of all the inhabitants of Palestine, irrespective of race and religion.

Article 4.

An appropriate Jewish agency shall be recognised as a public body for the purpose of advising and co-operating with the Administration of Palestine in such economic, social and other matters as may affect the establishment of the Jewish national home and the interests of the Jewish population in Palestine, and, subject always to the control of the Administration, to assist and take part in the development of the country. The Zionist organisation, so long as its organisation and constitution are in the opinion of the Mandatory appropriate, shall be recognised as such agency. It shall take steps in consultation with His Britannic Majesty’s Government to secure the cooperation of all Jews who are willing to assist in the establishment of the Jewish national home.

Article 5.

The Mandatory shall be responsible for seeing that no Palestine territory shall be ceded or leased to, or in any way placed under the control of, the Government of any foreign Power.

(All readily available from many sources on the Web)

Thus the Principal Powers in the world meeting together and after having won the recent contest between nations decided the above:

  • 1 draws the link with the Balfour Declaration which had rightly given the Jews the space of Palestine for their national home, understanding that this was about 1 500th of the total area that was eventually falling into the lap of the Arabs. Could the Arabs they reasoned not accept the Jews living on 1 500th in a patch of land adjacent to the Sea!?
  • No 2 lays it down that the Mandatory must create that Jewish Homeland. No mention at all about a Arab or Palestinian Homeland. There WAS NO PALESTINIAN PEOPLE THEN. And as I stated the Arabs were being given 500 times more territory e.g. Iraq, Syria. Lebanon etc
  • No 4 makes it very explicit that the Mandatory should proceed and seek all Jews in the world who wish to return to this patch of land to help create that state, remembering again that the Arabs were being given 500 times more. Just a small patch for the Jews. Who would object!?
  • No 5. None of this land to be taken over by anu other power. Not Britain. Not US. Not any Arab state such as Egypt. Not France (Golan) etc etc. This was the land for the Jewish Homeland. THERE WAS NO PALESTINIAN PEOPLE MENTIONED AND FOR A GOOD REASON…THERE WAS NO PALESTINIAN PEOPLE FULL STOP. A later anti-Semitic invention.

When one examines the writings of one George Galloway who sent his message of support to the Irish antisemites of the Irish ISM as they trailed their anti-Semitic coat tails around the beautiful and historical streets of Fair Dublin one sees a total absence of this history.

With Galloway there is no empathy with this ancient and most oppressed of all people, the Jews.

Should Galloway as a socialist not be celebrating that after 2000 years the Jews had a Homeland offered to them by Balfour and the League of Nations, not forgetting Mr Galloway sir that the Arabs were given a fully 500 times more land on which to build their many states, some say as many as 22 states.

As a socialist Galloway. But you see in reality Galloway is THAT KIND OF SOCIALIST ISN’T HE?!

GEORGE GALLOWAY SUPPORTS THE ANTISEMITIC IRISH ISM

By Felix Quigley

November 27, 2008

At the start of November the British MP George Galloway sent this reactionary statement to the anti-Semitic ISM in Dublin. It was to coincide with an anti-Semitic march being held in the beautiful and fair Irish capital of Dublin. Such a contrast don’t you think!

The ISM is known as the Palestine Solidarity Campaign in Ireland

[begin quote from Galloway here]

Statement of support from George Galloway MP (Respect):

“It is extremely fitting that you have chosen to demonstrate on this day to mark the infamous Balfour Declaration.

“It was Arthur Balfour – a notorious anti-Semite – who set us upon this bloody helter-skelter in Palestine and the wider Middle East.

(Balfour an anti-Semite??? In fact Balfour was part of a Christian tendency in Britain which because of the Bible was  extremely sympathetic to the Jews. What a slur this is by Galloway who is so free and loose with his rabid tongue!)

“He it was who, in the name of one people, the British, gave to the purported leaders of another, the land belonging to a third without asking any of the peoples concerned.

“Those of us who are politically active in Britain have a special responsibility to the people of Palestine for the suffering that has been inflicted on them.

(What a total lie this is and what lies Galloway in writing to the anti-Semitic ISM of Ireland spreads about! Balfour gave nothing to nobody. It was the League of Nations years later. And to the Arabs the League of Nation and Balfour were giving an area of land 500 times more. And Galloway there were no people calling themselves Arab Palestinians. Galloway in using the phrase belonging to a third is just a liar.)

“That a demonstration is taking place in Dublin should prick consciences on this side of the water.

“Congratulations to the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign for taking this initiative.

(That as we said above is the Irish wing of the terrorist anti-Semitic ISM)

“This is a moment of potential change in world politics. No one should imagine that will be easy or automatic. But the closing days of the US election campaign are revealing a deep desire for change, way beyond what is on offer.

“For those of us who have campaign for decades in solidarity with the Palestinian people now is a time to renew our commitment.

(But never in solidarity with the Jewish people Galloway, the most oppressed people that history has known! Why not Galloway!?)

The failure of the US imperial project in Iraq and, increasingly in Afghanistan, is now fusing with the failure of the free market ideology that has held sway for a generation.

“It’s time to talk about alternatives. To resurrect the notions of solidarity and collectivity we were told had been vanquished.

“In so doing, the name of Palestine will be emblazoned on the banners of all who count themselves progressive.

(But not of Israel or the Jewish people Galloway. Galloway showing his colours!)

“The shifting sands in the Middle East are undermining the corrupt kings and puppet presidents who rule almost without exception from north Africa to the Afghanistan.

“There is a fire under the presidential throne of Hosni Mubarak in Egypt. The underpinnings of the House of Saud are rotting away.

“The struggle in Palestine is finding fresh and powerful detachments in Cairo, Amman, Riyadh.

(The struggle, what struggle is he talking about, rockets into Israel is that Galloway’s meaning of struggle. Galloway is SILENT on the Rockets you notice)

“We must do all we can here in the West to fan these flames.”

In solidarity,

George Galloway MP

BARAK DOES NOT GIVE A DAMM ABOUT THE ORDINARY JEWS OF ISRAEL

by Felix Quigley

November 26, 2008

Olmert is a traitor to the Jewish cause. He has stated that there is no reason why there is not a deal with Abbas before he leaves power. There is every chance that Olmert will spend his first years of retirement staring out of a prison cell at an Israel he has devastated by his belief that Fascist Arabs like Abbas do not intend to destroy Israel.

Olmert sums up the nature of this Israeli ruling class who have never been prepared to fight for the Jewish Homeland or have been able to defend it.

[start quote here]

The PA has repeated rejected offers by Israel to hand over more than 90 percent of Judea and Samaria and make sweeping security concessions in other areas.

PA Chairman and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas nixed the proposals because they did not include a commitment to deliver to the PA half of Jerusalem for use as the capital of a new Arab state. Abbas has also demanded that Israel accept an influx of some five million foreign Arab immigrants who either lived in the area before the establishment of the state and fled during the 1948 war, or are the descendants of those who fled at the time.

Time is running out on all sides: Abbas’s term in office is slated to end with new PA elections in January, although he has said he will not leave office, claiming the term was meant to last until 2010. Olmert is already heading a transitional government, with general elections scheduled in Israel for February 10. He personally faces a string of corruption charges and may be indicted on at least one of them after a new government is settled.

“You don’t need months to make a decision,” insisted Olmert on Tuesday, pointing out that two years of ongoing talks between teams of negotiators for the PA and Israel had yielded progress but no deal.

The Prime Minister added that there would be no written document of understanding or declaration of principles when the new Obama Administration enters the White House.

The sickness in this Israeli ruling class is seen also in the person of Barak. Barak is defence minister and is also a leader of Labour in Israel. But this Labour has nothing to do with revolutionary socialism, it is a sickly creed, which is opposed to Israeli nationalism and does not give a damm for the suffering of the Jewish people of Israel. Barak is a total disgrace to everything Jewish. The Israeli people also have twigged on to this Labour of Israel and will kick Barak out in February in the election.

[begin quote here]

To all the warmongers among you I say I am not minister of war but minister of defense.”

This emotional statement was delivered by Ehud Barak Monday, Nov. 24, to his many critics at a briefing session of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Security Committee. He went on to lambast Iran for its energetic pursuit of its nuclear program while deceiving the world. Israel does not rule out any option against a nuclear-armed Iran, he said, “but the less said about this better.”

DEBKAfile’s military sources suggest that Barak take his own advice. While never short of words and promises, his performance in deeds is seriously wanting.

Minutes after he spoke, the Society for Recording Terror-Induced Trauma Cases published figures which should have made him rethink his positions: 55% of Sderot’s citizens had witnessed Qassam missile blasts; 28.4% were made dysfunctional by post-traumatic effects; while 33.6% of the town’s schoolchildren aged 13-18 suffered from severe learning disabilities.

In his briefing to the parliamentary committee, Barak admitted that during his tenure as “minister of defense” Hizballah had trebled its rocket arsenal to 42,000 and, compared with the 2006 Lebanon war, their range had been extended and they could now reach targets as far south of Lebanon as the Negev capital of Beersheba and even Dimona.

The defense minister had a special argument for inaction against the Palestinians’ eight-year long missile offensive from Gaza, ignoring the fact that they too had extended their range to including more Israeli cities. Barak maintained it was worth Israel’s while to put up with “the odd missile or two fired by a negligible group” for the sake of preserving an informal truce.

Speaking as an old warrior who had seen many of his comrades killed in battle, Barak said he did not need to be taught the meaning of war and its consequences.

There are three fundamental problems with the defense minister’s position and they explain why he is sinking fast in all the opinion polls:

1. The personal views he developed during his years in politics, decades after his army years were over, are hardly the morale-booster needed by young soldiers forced to face one or more active enemies every few years.

2. His statement that the Palestinian missile offensive from Gaza had “stabilized’ in the last day or two – as though the close to 300,000 Israelis living within range could now start living normal lives – mocked the distress of people who live on a knife edge of never knowing what tomorrow will bring. He may have forgotten, but they have not, that in one day on the 5th of this month, 50 missiles rained down on them, two of them Grad rockets which reached Ashkelon, and another 80 rockets the following week. Eight Israelis were injured, scores suffered trauma and homes, vehicles and public and agricultural property were extensively damaged for the umpteenth time.

But the key question raised by Palestinians’ ballooning missile capabilities is the effect of Barak’s stance on Israel’s deterrent power – not only against the Gaza-based threat but against Hizballah too. The 42,000 rockets Iran has given Hizballah all point in one direction: Israel. By turning the IDF into a paper tiger in the south, he is playing into the hands of Iran, Hizballah and Syria as well as Hamas.

3. Finally, what has happened to Gilead Shalit, the Israeli soldier Hamas abducted more than two years ago? Barak said enigmatically on Nov. 23 that there are ways to free him other than negotiations. If that is so, why has he held back for so long? The answer is that he relied on Egypt instead of Israel’s own diplomatic and military resources – another of his policies which has proved disastrous.

http://www.debka.com/article.php?aid=1367

I cannot think of a ruling class anywhere in the world which is as bankrupt as this Israeli Government is.

The disease exists right through Jewish people leadership internationally. Many American Jews voted for Obama and Malley! Many campaigned for McCain like the Jewish USrapundit traitors Belman and Levinson.

Meanwhile in England a leading member of Harrys Place, a Gene Zitver, attacks the Jewish people of Hebron as scum and takes the side of the PLO Fascists. And Zitver joins in with the Fascists in removing posts which I made yesterday on Harrys Place in reply to this calumny by Zitver. By the way Zitver is an American Jew. So he bans an Irish socialist who is defending the Jews of Hebron. A strange world we live in!

What is the Saudi Plan which is being pushed now by the PA and which Olmert has said should be considered as the basis for negotiations?

[start quote here]

The 22-member Arab League, which does not include the Persian country of Iran, has confirmed support for the Saudi Plan. It calls for a new Arab state on all the land that was restored Israel in the Six-Day War in 1967, including the Jewish Quarter and the Western Wall in Jerusalem.

The initiative also calls for the right of more than five million Arabs to immigrate to Israel based on the claim that they are descendants of several hundreds of thousands of Arabs who fled during the wars in 1948 and 1967.

In return, the Arab nations would “normalize” relations with Israel, but there is no definitive statement that it would recognize the Jewish state

Israeli governments previously have rejected the proposal and it was put on ice until last year, when outgoing Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said it should be considered as a basis for negotiations. No government leader has accepted the clause concerning the immigration of Arabs.

The position of Olmert and a significant section of the Jewish Israeli elite are in favour of Israel giving up their land on which a second state will be created for the Arabs, the first being Jordan.

This idea has become popular in the world because a vast propaganda campaign has been built up around the “Palestinians” and the Arabs have used every trick in the Nazi propaganda book to paint Israel as racists etc and as oppressors of the “Palestinians”.

This political position which Olmert in his last days pursues is the position of traitors. They DO understand very well the history.

1. In the period following the San Remo Treaty in 1920 and until Britain officially took over the Mandate from the League of Nations, a Mandate to create a Jewish Homeland in Palestine, Britain worked moves so that 78 per cent of this total area would be excluded to Jews. That is it would be Judenfrei. Britain administered this area then as an area in which only Arabs could live. This then became the independent state of Jordan as Britain withdrew in 1948 and was one of the states which attacked Israel on the very day after Israel Independence was proclaimed. So the Arabs showed no gratitude.

2. Israel won the Sinai from Egypt in 1967 in a fair and square fight but also with Israel fighting a defensive war against Nasser. Israel and Egypt created a Peace Treaty on March 26, 1979 and the terms of this was that Israel handed over the Sinai, and all it received back from Egypt was a promise of Peace. The terms of the Camp David treaty which was engineered by US President Carter were

  1. The state of war between the Parties will be terminated and peace will be established between them upon the exchange of instruments of ratification of this Treaty.

  2. Israel will withdraw all its armed forces and civilians from the Sinai behind the international boundary between Egypt and mandated Palestine, as provided in the annexed protocol (Annex I ), and Egypt will resume the exercise of its full sovereignty over the Sinai.

  3. Upon completion of the interim withdrawal provided for in Annex I, the parties will establish normal and friendly relations, in accordance with Article III (3).

But there has been no friendly relations with Egypt and Egypt has run on its national television the Nazi type propaganda of the Protocols

3. Then there was the Gaza withdrawal of 2005. Within an hour of the last Jew leaving Gaza (Gaza was made Judenfrei) the Israelis were being attacked by Hamas, with Nazi antisemitic propaganda and rockets into Israel.

Now this Saudi Plan is essentially what is being promoted by all of the Arab states, by US Imperialist Governments, by the EU, by Iran, by others such as China and Russia with Chavez in tow.

Once the Jew was attacked as a result of antisemitism. Now the whole world is attacking Israel because of antisemitism. Israel has indeed become the Jew among the nations of the world.

If a second Palestinian Arab state is created inside Israel then there will be no peace. Rather the Arab Fascists will see this as a great weakness by Israel and will attack Israel even harder.

At the same time it must be remembered that Iran now has enough enriched uranium to make a bomb, the size of the bomb which destroyed the Japanese cities at the end of the War.

The central question is what Israel has to do in order to survive. Essentially Israel has to act. If Israel sits back and talks about peace, or expects peace from its enemies, then it will be defeated.

ISRAEL FACES THE HATRED OF ALL OF ARAB ANTISEMITISM

by Felix Quigley

November 26, 2008

Every step back from land and every handing over of land to Arab Palestinians in the Middle East immediately brings on another attack on Israel, not peace ever. israel is in a state of total and continuous war with its enemies.

This is because the Arabs of the Middle East simply do not want the Jews there in any shape or form.

This is best seen in the example of Sharon handing over Gaza in 2005. Since then millions of Jews living in Israel have been under constant bombardment of rockets from Hamas and Fatah in Gaza.

The latest tactic which has been organized by the antisemitic ISM, also called the Palestine Solidarity Campaign in Ireland: This organization of extreme Israel haters use the Nobel Prize winner Mairead Maguire as a figurehead, and they have been sending boats from Cyprus to break through Israeli security and land in Gaza, thus setting a precedent.

It is obvious that Israel has to control precisely what goes into Gaza to prevent smuggling of powerful arms which will kill Jews in the hands of Hamas.

The Israeli Government is weak. It should have warned these boats and then taken possession of them and flung their occupants into jail. Mairead should now be writing her memoirs in a jail in Israel and be denied any telephone contact with her antisemitic friends in the Irish ISM. mairead has been getting portly as she gets old. Let her eat a thin porridge gruel for 10 years.

This weakness of the Israeli rulers leads on to worse as this report makes clear:

[begin quote here]

(IsraelNN.com) A Libyan ship with 3,000 tons of food and medicine is headed for the Gaza coast in a widening effort to break Israeli’s sovereignty over coastal waters. Israeli government spokesmen were not aware of the report, published by Afrique-Actualite, but said that a decision if and how to react “will be made when it becomes relevant.”

The Olmert administration has backed down three times in the past three months and has allowed pro-Arab “Free Gaza” activists to land in Gaza in what began as a symbolic claim to Hamas control over the coastal waters. Israel stated before the withdrawal from Gaza three years ago that it would retain control over the sea and air space until the Palestinian Authority could prove it is putting a stop to terrorism.

The Libyan ship left the port of Zouara, approximately 75 miles west of Tripoli, on Tuesday. The Libyan Fund for Aid and Development in Africa donated 500 tons of oil, 750 tons of milk, 1,207 tons of rice, 500 tons of wheat flour and 100 tons of medicine. It is due to arrive in Gaza in one week, according to Lakhdouri Abdelhamid, director of the fund.

The aid marks the support of Libya for Gaza residents who Abdelhamid referred to as “victims of an unjust embargo imposed upon them by Israel.”

Hamas and United Nations officials in Gaza have claimed for more than a year that a humanitarian crisis exists because of Israel’s control over shipments of merchandise through Gaza crossings. However, Israel has supervised hundreds of trucks moving humanitarian shipments of food and goods into Gaza.

The Israeli defense and foreign ministries each said the other is responsible for statements concerning the attempts to challenge Israeli sovereignty. Yarden Vatikay, international spokesman for the office of the Prime Minister, stated he was not aware of the Libyan ship but said that a decision would be made at the proper time.

The Foreign Ministry allowed the Free Gaza movement to dock two boats at Gaza in late August in order to prevent them from exploiting media coverage of the Israeli Navy arresting them at sea.

However, the ministry advised against allowing two more voyages but was overruled by officials in the Defense Ministry and office of the Prime Minister. One of the reasons for the reluctance to stop the ship may have been the fear of violence. European legislators joined the last sailing earlier this month.

Free Gaza spokeswoman Greta Berlin said the pro-Arab group intends to send two more boats in December. Concerning the Libyan ship, she commented, “Our entire project was to hopefully break Israel’s siege and have other boats go to Gaza. If these materialize, we will have done part of that work.”

Last week, the political arm of the radical Jordanian Muslim Brotherhood said it also is organizing a ship to Gaza.

“By dispatching the ships, Jordan will become the first Arab country to take such an initiative,” said Muslim Brother spokesman Zaki Bani Rsheid.

The tragedy is that israeli politicians are arming fatah and are intending to help set up a Jihadist state on Israeli land.

ISRAEL MUST USE THE DEATH PENALTY AGAINST NAZI FASCISTS

by Felix Quigley

November 25, 2008

We on 4international support this

(IsraelNN.com) Chaim Glick, the General Manager of Bar Ilan University and a former senior Prison Services official, warned Monday that Israel’s treatment of terrorist prisoners is making it more difficult to release kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit. Shalit has been held captive by Hamas-allied terrorists in Gaza for more than 880 days.

Speaking at a gathering held at the university on behalf of Shalit, Glick said, “The main reason we have not succeeded in bringing back Shalit is the good conditions granted to prisoners in Israel convicted of security-related offenses.” Murderers and terrorists in Israeli prisons often have little reason to seek release

Chaim Glick continues

Glick explained the benefits granted to terrorists, and said they go beyond what Israel is required to provide under international law. Terrorists are given newspapers and access to cable television, are allowed to see their families and hold their children, are given meat and fish and special holiday meals, and are allowed to study for a university degree with Open University. They are given a stipend by Hamas and other terrorist groups, and are allowed to use the money to buy candy and other goods in the prison canteen

Glick called on Israel to stop providing prisoners with anything more than basic living conditions. Stopping the “policy of pampering and luxury for security prisoners” would put pressure on Hamas to release Shalit in exchange for terrorist prisoners, he said.

Israel has held talks with Hamas via Egyptian intermediaries, but the terrorist group has refused to compromise on its demands and has even asked for more. The group demands the release of all female and minor terrorists held in Israeli jails in addition to more than 1,000 terrorists, some of them the masterminds of fatal attacks. Hamas insists that Shalit is being treated well, but has not allowed international aid workers to see him or speak to him and has not released photos or video clips that would prove their claim.

Chaim Glick is absolutely correct. hamas and Fatah have long ago declared war on Israel. The only response to this on the part of the Jews of Israel is a war response.

It is absolutely essential that the death penalty is introduced by Israel into the situation. If any Fascist antisemitic Arab tries to kill a Jew by whatever means he or she should inturn be killed. Simple.

This is a war situation and Israel must use every method to defend Jews, who went to Israel to escape from European and Arab Nazi antisemitism.

Chaim Glick does not go so far but he is touching on our response which we put forward last week in our ten points. Something like this is needed badly

  1. That the ordinary Arab and Muslim people break from their horrific anti-Semitism. Our fight is not with the ordinary people in any way but we are fighting for survival, remember that.
  2. We are a very small nation, of 5 or 6 millions surrounded by half a billion in the Arab nations, more if you include Islamic nations. We cannot afford loss of life. You can afford loss of many lives. That is the equation. Thus it is our aim to have as few of our fighter die and to have as many of your fighters to die.
  3. We will use every advantage. If we have a technological advantage then we will use it. The only condition is as I said above to have as few of our people die as is possible.
  4. We vacated every Jew out of Gaza. Were you grateful? The opposite. You made war on us. Now we will make war on you and we will drive every Arab out of Gaza and into Egypt or whatever Arab country they wish to go to.
  5. To the “international community”. Name your poison! Bring it on! We are totally impervious to any and every statement from the likes of Amnesty International or even the Spanish Government who keep troops in Lebanon but allow Hizbullah to build their forces on their watch. Etc. Etc.
  6. Of course we communicate to the US Government. But we communicate above all and from the beginning to the end to the ordinary American people. We mobilize the wonderful Jewish people in America to communicate with the real America.
  7. In reference to the US Government and the CIA who are training Fatah in order to erect a state in our land, that is the second state in our lands, we call for the arrest of Abbas, for his summary trial and likely execution because he calls for a return to the shahid philosophy of Arafatian suicide bombing of Jews. To Malley, to Obama, to McCain, to Lieberman, we stick to this simple point and we give it maximum publicity in front of the great American people. Not too much to ask for and is doable. Nothing else matters but the arrest of Abbas his trial and execution. That will clear the air. To call for the murder of Jews in 2008 calls for exceptional retribution. Otherwise the Eichmann experience means little.
  8. Read Trotsky above again and learn. Israel is now at war. Israel cannot afford to have a traitor in the ranks. All Jewish traitors in Israel must be arrested and placed under lock and key while this lasts. That means until the enemy is defeated. This means the arrest of those in places like Ben Gurion University who spout hatred of Israel and support for the enemy which is trying to destroy Israel. This applies to all sections of the Israeli state, the police, the judiciary, the press. Read especially what Trotsky writes about taking the Press under control of the state, the state which is organizing the people to defeat the enemy.
  9. None of this is any good if Israel allows Iran to have a nuclear bomb. This has to be incorporated.
  10. I support the Israeli people electing Netanyahu. But to fight this war requires revolutionaries who will not flinch, whether they come from the religious or secular Trotskyist conviction. But it requires cadre leaders who will put only the interests of this tiny state and people first. Act! Let the nations of the world decide for themselves how they react! Believe in your destiny! Banish fear!

US BUSH AND OBAMA PLACE ISRAEL ON THE SACRIFICIAL TABLE

By Felix Quigley

November 25, 2008

Bush and Obama are now working closely together to prevent Israel from defending itself on two fronts. They are united in saying that Israel must no nothing about the nuclear threat from the Iranian Fascists, a threat which will cause the obliteration of Israel and 6 millions Jews. They are equally united in saying that Israel must do nothing about rockets from Gaza which are causing life misery to a million Israelis daily, not knowing when the next rocket will drop on their homes. As we have said often this IS antisemitism in action and it is being led by the US Government of both parties. What have the leaders of USrapundit got now to say about this and their support for Bush and McCain in the election past!

Israel National News wrote:

[begin quote here]

IsraelNN.com) The Bush administration warned outgoing Prime Minister Ehud Olmert not to stage an attack on Iran or stage an all-out assault on Hamas in Gaza, TIME reported Tuesday, quoting senior Defense Ministry officials.

The two leaders met and dined together Monday during the Prime Minister’s farewell visit, but the warning previously was issued by senior American officials. They are worried that Israel will use the period before President-elect Barack Obama takes office to attack Iran’s nuclear plant.

The rest of the report from INN is very interesting. It flags up the utterly reactionary and traitorous role of Olmert and Livni, as well as Labourist traitor to the working class Barak.

Note that there are many wings of antisemitic reaction ranged against Israel. leading these are the US NeoCon ruling class of Bush, McCain and Obama. But also there is the Jewish traitors in Israpundit (USrapundit to be correct) who have supported the butchers of the Serbs McCain and Lieberman as well as Bush.

But there is also a significant section of the Jewish capitalist type leaders in Israel, led certainly by Olmert and Livni types. These are essentially the people who have to be exposed and driven out of the Jewish movement.

[continue INN report here]

American government officials also told the Olmert government that if it were to carry out a long-threatened attack on Hamas and allied terrorists, it could erect a dead end to the America Roadmap program designed to lead to a new Arab country within Israel’s current borders.

In order to calm Israel’s growing impatience with rocket attacks on southern Israel, the Bush government asked Jordanian King Abdullah II to intervene, TIME reported. The result was a secret visit to Amman last week by Prime Minister Olmert and Defense Minister Ehud Barak, who heard the king tell them he won promises by Hamas to halt the rocket strikes.

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni stated earlier this month that Israel need not retaliate so long as the rocket attacks do not cause widespread damage or serous injuries. One rocket three weeks ago damaged a strategic site in Ashkelon, causing light damage.

Jordan sent messengers to Syrian-based Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal to order Gaza terrorists to halt the attacks, and King Abdullah then reportedly informed Olmert and Barak of Hamas’s promise.

“Olmert and Barak listened carefully but pointed out that Israel cannot stand idle while the rockets are falling,” TIME quoted a Jordanian official. However, the monarchy later objected to Israeli media reports that Jordan’s interest in calm was due to efforts to quell growing protests within its own country against Israel’s closure of Gaza crossings.

More than 1,000 demonstrators of the Muslim Brotherhood’s political branch angrily denounced Israel last Friday and said that it would send ships to Gaza to challenge Israeli sovereignty over Gaza’s coastal waters.

King Abdullah’s advisors maintained that Jordan is trying to keep down the violence in order to prevent a halt in negotiations between Israel and the PA.

Prime Minister Olmert and President Bush repeated routine statements to encourage progress in the talks. “We strongly believe that Israel will benefit by having a Palestinian state, a democracy on its border that works for peace,” said President Bush.

The outgoing Prime Minister replied, “You have set forth in motion the Annapolis process, which I was very proud to take part in. It continues with your guidance and support and inspiration. And this is very important because, as you say, a two-state solution is the only possible way to resolve the conflict.”

http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/128541

The reference of Arabs to send ships to Gaza to break what they call the occupation is interesting. This will also happen for sure if Israel allows Abbas to set up a “Palestinian” state in Israel. The morning after Abbas will be taking the next step in the total destruction of Israel using this or that pretext to do so. Nothing will satisfy these “Palestinian” Fascists until Israel is no more. Is this not obvious!

The line of Bush, that a Jihadist state is good for Israel, and that the “Palestinian” Arabs would run it on “democracy”, is pure lies and Bush knows it very well. Yet it is this Bush that Belman and Levinson on USrapundit have been propping up for years, deflecting any real break which American Jews could make from US Imperialism. Belman and Levinson in their cover for Bush and the NeoCons are essentially Jihadists against Israel when you break it right down. They should be kicked right out of the Jewish movement for the crimes they have committed in the past year in this election, no doubt about that at all.

The only response which Jews should make to Bush and Belman types is to call for the arrest of Abbas by the IDF, placing him on trial and a call for his summary execution for the crimes which he has committed against the Jews.

No to a “Palestinian” state of any kind

Destroy the Iranian Nuclear Bomb now!

Make total war on Hamas and Fatah, conquer all of that terriroty which is Jewish land and expel these Fascists from the land of Israel!

Never again accept that a single Jew should be harmed by a Nazi Fascist!

ISRAEL IS AT A TURNING POINT AS TRAITOROUS LEADERS BETRAY

by Felix Quigley

November 25, 2008

The Israeli ruling capitalist and anti Judaic ruling class is now going full pelt ahead to create a Jihadist “Palestinian” Arab state on the land of Israel, specifically on the land of Judea and Samaria. This involves all sections of this traitorous Israeli ruling class which centres on Olmert, Livni and Barak but which also incorporates a section of the Judaic religious hierarchy itself. It is the ultimate betrayal of the Jews and it is being carried out obviously by a large section of the Jewish leadership in Israel. A traitorous betrayal because it is creating an artificial distinction between Hamas and Fatah where in reality there is none. Differences over method yes, but on the issue of the destruction of Israel and the killing of all Jews…none!

In the face of great events the Israeli Judaic ruling class is either leading the betrayal or else it is unable to do anything about it. The only barrier to this betrayal is the Israeli working class people, not the bankers or fast buck merchants of the boom period etc, the ordinary Jewish people, who are going to elect Netanyahu into power in February in a type of Coalition, and who have pledged and indeed must disregard every one of these traitorous moves now being made by Olmert.

Olmert is representative of the Sharon Stasi police and army thugs who dragged Jews out screaming from their homes and towns (not settlements which has a colonist ring to it) and no sooner were they out than the citizens of Israel proper, such as Sderot, were under fire from Hamas and Fatah.

The flunkeys who call themselves Jews and representative of the great Jewish people who centre around USrapundit, that is Israpundit led by flunkey of US in chief Mr Ted Belman, have spent a year in support of the Neocons around George Bush, McCain, Joseph Lieberman the butcher of the Serbs, in a totally pointless US election.

Pointless for Jews because it was the Bush Republican wing of politics who set the ball rolling towards this Palestinian state. It was Bush who had sent Rice on her totally bullying trips into Israel where this Republican gave vent to her hatred for all things Jewish.

Now it is Obama and Malley, plus US Army Man Jones, who is going to finish what Bush and the Republicans started going.

That is precisely what Belman and Levinson spent a year in support of. Given the facilities of a good website, built by others, Belman has wasted every single second of the past 2 years. He and Levinson should be kicked right off the Israpundit site and it should be taken over and run by real Jewish fighters. But in the hands of Belman and Levinson IT REMAINS WHAT WE NOW CALL IN KNOWING CIRCLES USRAPUNDIT.

The dire situation describing the buildup of Jihadist Abbas Nazi forces is described by Israel National News

[start quote here]

(IsraelNN.com) Israel is considering granting permission for the Palestinian Authority to station armed forces in Bethlehem following similar deployments in Jenin, Shechem and Hevron. The PA and Israel call the special forces “police officers,” but they have undergone intensive military training by Americans at bases built for them at Jericho and in Jordan.

The special forces are in effect part of the growing security forces of the PA, which is not allowed to have an official army under existing agreements. However, the PA has sought advanced weapons

What they are creating, that is the US ruling class, the EU, Russia, China, South American Governments such as Chavez, is a Nazi Fatah led regime inside Israel and this will be the exact same as Hamas, full of hate for Israel, using every method to attack Israel.

In the article mentioned above the writer for INN stated that in Bethlehem it was Hamas who drove out the Christian Arabs. Even they are beginning to talk the language of the Israeli traitors. In fact it was not Hamas but Fatah as well. Even INN writers are creating a false distinction between Hamas and Fatah.

That is precisely the type of reasoning which the US is using to create a nazi state in the Middle East, and it is this pervasive ideology which can only be challenged ideologically by a Trotskyist party in Israel.

There must now be a wide and serious discussion of Trotskyism inside Israel.

In the article which 4international published recently in our 10 points we called for the arrest trial and execution of Abbas for the crimes which he has committed and which he has stated he will go on committing centring on the Jihadist use of suicide murderers.

We repeat these now for discussion:

HOW ISRAEL MAY LEARN FROM THE LEON TROTSKY OF THE RUSSIAN CIVIL WAR

by Felix Quigley

November 21, 2008

Israel has built a serious army and air force and young Israelis are good soldiers.

However Israel can be defeated which was shown in the 2006 war against Hizbullah. Let us recall a few things and we will leave out the US factor for a moment, which was to the effect that Rice who spoke for the President was holding Israel back from the moment it started.

That is really par for the course and any sensible Israeli patriot would have that factored in.

No the real problem is that the Israeli political leaders did not want to fight the necessary battle. Yes I know elderly politicians are not going to fight, but they have to lead the fight.

So how can Israel fight and win. At this point I am going to turn to a somewhat similar situation and draw some lessons from it, then try to apply to the situation which Israel faces. The following may surprise some who have been preached at that the Left is their enemy. But I am going to turn to the most amazing left revolutionary that the world has to date seen and to the most serious and mammoth war struggle yet fought by any group of men.

I had to recheck this myself. I knew it was a lot but how many. I am talking about how many nations here. How many nations sent their armies in to Russia and onto the borders of Russia post 1917 in order to destroy Communism. In fact just like Israel today almost every capitalist nation on earth!

This was some war, this was some struggle, and it produced some leader.

Now ideologically you may be totally opposed to communism. But you still can be opposed and yet learn valuable lessons, that is if you are a true Jewish patriot and do not wish to follow the Barak way to destruction

Between Barak and Leon Trotsky there is a gulf. I suppose more correct to say there are two opposing philosophies. We have seen Barak, clearly does not want to fight, releases the enemy as a good will gesture. So let us have a little, and I mean little, look at Trotsky.

An inveterate enemy of revolution, an utter reactionary but luckily an incessant scribbler has done us all the good deed of assembling some of the serious facts about Trotsky and his approach to war, that is to the winning of that war I alluded to above. So I will use this character Peter Myers ironically. Myers thinks these quotations condemn Trotsky. In fact they do the opposite.

Myers has extracted some of the thoughts of Trotsky on how to fight a war for survival and all wars are for survival. As A result of fighting the mammoth struggle called the Russian Civil War Trotsky drew vital lessons. Trotsky was not a fan of war, he did not like war, he was clearly a man more at home with art and literature, but he was a dialectical materialist and he understood that war comes knocking at your door and then you gotta be ready. Myers first quote is from his book on war and the use of terror to convince the enemy to desist:

[Start quotes here]

{DoT p. 58, DvD p. 55} But terror can be very efficient against a reactionary class which does not want to leave the scene of operations. Intimidation is a powerful weapon of policy, both internationally and internally. War, like revolution, is founded upon intimidation. A victorious war, generally speaking, destroys only an insignificant part of the conquered army, intimidating the remainder and breaking their will. The revolution works in the same way: it kills individuals and intimidates thousands. In this sense, the Red Terror is not distinguishable from the armed insurrection of which it is the direct continuation.

{DoT p. 59, DvD p. 56} The terror of Tsardom was directed against the proletariat. The gendarmerie of Tsardom throttled the workers who were fighting for the Socialist order. Our Extraordinary Commissions shoot landlords, capitalists, and generals who are striving to restore the capitalist order. Do you grasp this … distinction? Yes? For us communists it is quite sufficient.

{DoT p. 59, DvD p. 56} During war all constitutions and organs of the State and of public opinion become, directly or indirectly, weapons of warfare. This is particularly true of the Press. No government carrying on a serious war will allow publications to exist on its territory which, openly or indirectly, support the enemy. Still more so in a civil war. The nature of the latter is such that each of its struggling sides has in the rear of its armies considerable circles of the population on the side of the enemy. In war, where both success and failure are repaid by death, hostile agents who penetrate into the rear are subject to execution.

{DoT p. 61, DvD p. 58} We are fighting. We are fighting a life-and-death struggle. The Press is a weapon not of an abstract society, but of two irreconcilable, armed and contending sides. We are destroying the Press of the counter-revolution, just as we destroyed its fortified positions, its stores, its communications, and its intelligence system.

{DoT p. 61, DvD p. 58} But Kautsky goes further to develop his theme. He complains that we suppress the newspapers of the S.R.s {Socialist Revolutionaries} and the Mensheviks, and even – such things have been known – arrest their leaders. Are we not dealing here with “shades of opinion” in the proletariat or the Socialist movement? The scholastic pedant does not see facts beyond his accustomed words. The Mensheviks and S.R.s for him are simply tendencies in Socialism, whereas, in the course of the revolution, they have been transformed into an organization which works in active co-operation with the counter-revolution and carries on against us an open war.

{DoT p. 63, DvD p. 60} As for us, we were never concerned with the Kantian-priestly and vegetarian-Quaker prattle about the “sacredness of human life”. We were revolutionaries in opposition, and have remained revolutionaries in power. To make the individual sacred, we must destroy the social order which crucifies him. And that problem can only be solved by blood and iron.

{DoT p. 64, DvD p. 61} The man who recognizes the revolutionary historic importance of the very fact of the existence of the Soviet system must also sanction the Red Terror. {end quotes}

Dmitri Volkogonov, Trotsky: The Eternal Revolutionary, tr. & ed. Harold Shukman, HarperCollinsPublishers, London 1996.

{p. 175} Repression was in Trotsky’s view a component part of military structure, a method for educating both officers and men. A telegram he sent to the Revolutionary Military Committee of the Western Front in 1919 is characteristic: ‘One of the most important principles of educating our army is never to leave a single crime or misdemeanour unpunished … Repression must follow immediately upon a breach of discipline, for repression is not an end in itself, but is directed towards didactic, military aims … Breaches of discipline and disobedience … must be subjected to the harshest punishment.’ It was Trotsky’s belief that the threat of harsh punishment would compensate for the low level of awareness, conviction and training of the army rank and file. Curiously, like Lenin, Trotsky regarded consciousness as the foundation of discipline, yet he stressed that fear and arrest should be used to instil discipline.

He told his commanders to set an example in the field, but also to command with an iron fist and not to flinch from using their weapons to maintain order. When someone pointed out to him that not all commanders and commissars had revolvers, he at once cabled Lenin: ‘The absence of revolvers creates an impossible situation at the front. It is impossible to maintain discipline without a revolver. I suggest Comrades Mironov and Pozern requisition revolvers from everyone who is not on active duty.’ The threat of punishment gradually entered the structure and functioning of the army, and also entered people’s minds as a moral norm, ‘revolver law’, the revolutionary imperative, proletarian necessity.

{p. 178} Former tsarist offficers continued to go over to the Whites, nevertheless. In response, Trotsky instituted hostage-taking. On 2 December 1918 he cabled the Revolutionary Military Council at Serpukhov:

{quote} I ordered you to establish the family status of former officers among command personnel and to inform each of them by signed reccipt that treachery or treason will cause the arrest of their families and that, therefore, they are each taking upon themselves responsibility for their families. That order is still in force. Since then there have been a number of cases of treason by former officers, yet not in a single case, as far as I know, has the family of the traitor been arrested, as the registration of former officers has evidently not been carried out at all. Such a negligent approach to so important a matter is totally impermissible. {end quote}

Similar reports and orders were sent by Trotsky to other army chiefs. To Kazan he cabled:

{quote} 11th Division has revealed its utter uselessness. Units are still surrendering without a fight. The root of the evil is in the command staff. Obviously, the [Regional Military Commissar] has concentrated on the combat and technical side and forgotten about the political. I suggest a strict watch be kept on recruited personnel and that command responsibilities be given only to those former officers whose families reside within Soviet borders, and that they be informed by signed receipt that they are responsible for the lives of their families.’ {end quote}

{p. 179} Former officers themselves were also held as hostages, and many would be shot when one of their fellow ex-officers went over to the Whites. Trotsky asked Dzerzhinsky to let him know whether there were ‘still any former officers who had been taken hostage in concentration camps and prisons. If so, where are they and how many?’ Any method was appropriate, in Trotsky’s view, if it prevented the disintegration of the Red Army. He formulated the hostage policy in an order of 2 November 1919: ‘Families of traitors must be arrested at once. Traitors themselves must be registered in the army’s black book, so that after the imminent and final triumph of the revolution, not a single traitor can escape punishment.’ In 1920 he ordered that ‘families found guilty of aiding Wrangel will be deported beyond the Baikal’.

When on 25 October 1918, however, Trotsky proposed at the Central Committee that all officers being held hostage be set free, it was decided that only those ‘who did not belong to the counter-revolution’ would be released. ‘They will be recruited into the Red Army, at which time they will submit the names of their family and be told that the family will be arrested, should they go over to the White Guards.’ According to Denikin, however, rumours about treason and treachery were exaggerated. In two years, he received reliable information from a former general of the Soviet headquarters staff that only one case of material significance had occurred for certain.   The most difficult category to make fight was the rank and file. Trotsky relied particularly on Communists and commissars, and on the whole his expectations were fulfilled, although not invariably. There were cases when entire units abandoned their positions and fled the field of battle. With Moscow’s approval, Trotsky took the major decision of placing blocking units behind unreliable detachments, with orders to shoot if they retreated without permission. Thus, when Stalin applied this policy in 1941-42, he was merely applying the experience of the civil war under new conditions.

Blocking units appeared for the first time in August 1918 on the eastern front in 1st Army under the command of Tukhachevsky, who was the first to issue orders to shoot. In December 1918 Trotsky ordered the formation of special detachments to serve as blocking units. On 18 December he cabled: ‘How do things stand with the blocking units? As far as I am aware they have not been included in our

{p. 180} establishment and it appears they have no personnel. it is absolutely essential that we have at least an embryonic network of blocking units and that we work out a procedure for bringing them up to strength and deploying them.’ {end quotes}

Frederick Engels:

A revolution is certainly the most authoritarian thing there is; it is the act whereby one part of the population imposes its will upon the other part by means of rifles, bayonets, and cannon – authoritarian means, if such there be at all; and if the victorious party does not want to have fought in vain, it must maintain this rule by means of the terror which its arms inspire in the reactionaries” (On Authority, in Lewis S. Feuer, ed., Marx & Engels: Basic Writings on Politics & Philosophy, 1959, p. 485).

Leon Trotsky: quotes from his autobiography.

The hardback edition is My Life: The Rise and Fall of a Dictator (Thornton Butterworth Limited, London 1930); the paperback edition is My Life (Penguin, Harmondsworth, 1975).

(You may note the falsification in the title by Thornton Butterworth!)

Here is Trotsky’s feeling about the soldiers he commanded, from his own autobiography:

{hbk p. 351, pbk p. 427} An army cannot be built without reprisals. Masses of men cannot be led to death unless the army-command has the death-penalty in its arsenal. So long as those malicious tailless apes that are so proud of their technical achievements – the animals that we call men – will build armies and wage wars, the command will always be obliged to place the soldiers between the possible death in the front and the inevitable one in the rear.

{Trotsky positioned special troops in the rear, behind his front-line troops, to shoot deserters and stop the front line retreating from battle; that’s how the Civil War was won. See Volkogonov, below, on “blocking units”.}

{hbk p. 405, pbk p. 494} ‘Revolution is revolution only because it reduces all contradictions to the alternative of life or death.

{hbk p. 416, pbk p. 508} The weaker the trio {the triumvirate which succeeded Lenin: Kamenev, Zinoviev and Stalin} felt in matters of principle, the more they feared me – because they wanted to get rid of me – and the tighter they had to bolt all the screws and nuts in the state and party system. Much later, in 1925, Bukharin said to me, in answer to my criticism of the party oppression: “We have no democracy because we are afraid of you”.

Now is not all of that mighty interesting. The intelligent reader, and all readers mas o menos are largely intelligent, will understand that I am not insisting on the Israeli army and leaders in the fight today against their enemies copying each and every detail in the above and applying it slavishly. Such an approach would be entirely foreign anyway to the method of Trotsky. Remember that Trotsky was not handed a blueprint in 1918. There was no Marxist blueprint for any single event after October of 1917.

No it is the spirit of the thing that I want to get across.

So let us be a little creative ourselves and by ourselves here I mean the Jewish people and those who stand with the Jews.

For reasons I have gone into elsewhere I believe that real Trotskyists, real progressive social revolutionaries will stand with the Jews now and forever. That is a given OK.

In the last article I have shown that the enemies of Israel have clearly declared war. They say they are at war. They state their aims to destroy Israel.

Moreover Israel is being treated as the hated Jew of history. Israel does not have any friends in the world with one possible exception, that of the Serb people. You can count in also the ordinary people of almost every country in the world, but that is totally dependent on leadership so it has to be place din the context of potential, not actual.

Right then. Transfer the situation to the Civil War 1918 to 1922 what would Leon Trotsky and his cadre have done on behalf of Israel.

Do not be too proud or prejudiced to learn the lessons of  the past from wherever. Nobody wants war. But if it is pushed at you by the bitterest of enemies then fight it to win.

ISRAEL BEING SET UP FOR THE KILL…BUT BARAK DOES NOT WANT TO FIGHT!

by Felix Quigley

November 21

Looking at it from the viewpoint of Israel and Zionism it is totally for the best that Obama beat McCain for the position of leadership of US Imperialism.

The big Lie and the Big Pretence has been that the US is the friend and ally of Israel. In fact it has ALWAYS BEEN ITS ENEMY.

With McCain in power it may have been possible to continue with the pretence. It is much more difficult for Obama to continue the Lie because he still has close connections to Malley, the viperous anti-Semite who is a HUGE and OPEN fan of the antisemites of Hisbullah, Fatah and Hamas.

The plan of US Imperialism has always been to create a Fatah led state inside the state of Israel and to call it Palestine. This is not a new or sudden development, this is in line with the whole history of first the British ruling class from 1920 to 1948, and then of the US ruling class from 1948 to the present.

Obama is out in the open because he is standing there right in the open with Malley. Every Jew should rejoice at this. It is much easier to see the real role of US Imperialism. It is in the open and everything is to play for.

People such as you have on Israpundit should stop their moaning over Obama and calculate what precisely is needed to fight the Fascists of Fatah Hamas and their backers in the US elite and in all the disparate anti-Semitic elements in Europe, including the Vatican.

Let us try and put it in simple terms, because if you use simple language there is less room for lying to happen.

Those who attack Israel or even disparage Israel, the idea of Israel especially, meaning the right of the Jewish people to have a National Home, are really forced to oppose the 2000 year old struggle in exile to return to Zion.

This is precisely what Zionism is. It was on this point that those antisemites of the ISM in Galway Ireland showed themselves for what they really are. You may like or dislike Israel of today but you cannot argue that Israel is not the end of that historic 2000 year old national struggle, and since these are Jews and persecuted because they are Jews has religious and some ethnic tones in this national theme as well.

So that is what those who are attacking Israel today are coming from. They may talk about the “poor Palestinians” but the sub plot is to destroy Israel.

Let us advance this a little further. No I will not use the statements of the Fascist leaders in Iran, not only by the way Ahmadinejad, allthose Mullahs who have sworn to destroy Israel. The whole world knows this. To deny this is the sure sign either of idiocy or anti-Semitism.

But the other main belligerents against Israel have made their positions crystal clear. I use here an extract in a recent post in 4international:

1.      On Monday the Al-Quds Brigades—the military wing of Islamic Jihad—fired eight rockets from Gaza into the western Negev, damaging several houses. A little later in the morning another volley landed south of the much-besieged town of Sderot, damaging houses in a kibbutz.

2.    Though the current “ceasefire” with Hamas is not supposed to be over until December 19, the shelling has been going on for almost two weeks. Just on Friday, for instance, Sderot was hit by eleven Qassam rockets and Ashkelon—a city of 120,000 to the north of Gaza—by six Grad rockets (larger and longer-range than Qassams). An 82-year-old Sderot woman was wounded by shrapnel and 22 shock victims were taken to hospital. Air raid sirens rang out in Ashkelon all day and the city opened its public bomb shelters. Children on the lunch break got caught in rocket fire and had to scamper back into their schools.

3.    Ashdod, a city of 200,000 north of Ashkelon and Israel’s second most important port after Haifa, was also ordered to get its bomb shelters ready since it too is within Grad range.

4.    As of now, 250,000 Israeli men, women, and children in the Gaza vicinity are under bombardment with the attendant toll in anxiety, traumatization, and disruption of life—not to mention those unlucky enough to have had rockets hit their persons, dwellings, or property. It goes without saying that Amnesty, Ferrero-Waldner, Ban et al. do not perceive a humanitarian crisis here and are not going to perceive one even if the situation gets much worse. The notion of Jews as victims is now confined to the Holocaust and for most of the world is categorically precluded for the Jews of Israel.

So then a declaration of war by Arab leaders on Israel if ever there was a declaration of war!

The enemies of Israel have twigged on to something mighty important and relevant. It is that no matter what they do to Israel the nations of the world insist that Israel can do nothing to defend itself.

Israel has become the despised Jew of history. This IS modern antisemitism.

And the enemy is prepared, mighty prepared. The enemy is obsessed with the defeat of Israel, the removal of the “Zionist presence” from the Middle East and from the map.

In the face of this preparedness and super determination of the antisemites to destroy Israel, the answer of Barak is hardly going to convince them to hold off. Barak has stated Israel does not want to fight and has promised to release 200 Fatah prisoners in December!

THUS ISRAEL IS BEING SET UP FOR THE KILL

On Friday past the Jerusalem Post’s Khaled Abu Toameh reported that:

Sixteen months after assuming full control over the Gaza Strip, Hamas appears to be stronger than ever—largely thanks to the growing number of tunnels that are used to smuggle goods and weapons under the border with Egypt.

…the tunnels have now become a vital tool in circumventing the Israeli commercial blockade [and] are no longer a secret, and foreign journalists are…invited to visit them and interview their owners…. large supplies of food and medicine are being brought through them into Gaza on a daily basis….

When Israel decided earlier this year to temporarily suspend fuel supplies to…Gaza…in response to the rocket attacks on Israeli towns and cities, the smugglers installed underground pipes that continue to pump gasoline into the Gaza Strip. As a result, motorists there pay nearly half the price they were paying several months ago to fill their cars.

…a veteran Palestinian journalist [said,] “Today people want to eat and buy cheap goods from Egypt. That’s why they are smuggling everything, including sheep, calves, lions, cigarettes, perfume, electrical appliances, food and even tens of thousands of Viagra pills.”

Both Israel and Egypt seem to have wearied of battling the underground tunnel trade…. Seventeen Palestinian diggers and smugglers who were killed when their tunnels collapsed in the past few months have been declared shahids (martyrs) by Hamas and their families.

This makes the Egyptians reluctant to take tough measures against the smugglers, fearing they will be accused by the Arab world of complicity in the “siege” against Gaza’s 1.5 million Palestinians.

SO THE SITUATION FACING ISRAEL IS NOT THE SAME AS IN 2006 PRE THE HEZBULLAH WAR, IT IS FAR FAR WORSE BECAUSE ITS LEADERS DO NOT WANT TO FIGHT ANY MORE!

Our next article on 4international will try to do something about this…

Postscript re malley

November 20, 2008

Senator Obama was criticized in May for having Malley on his team of Middle East advisers after the latter admitted to being in regular contact with Hamas as part of his work with the George Soros-funded International Crisis Group (ICG), whose Middle East and North Africa Program he directs. Malley has worked with officials from several countries, urging them to recognize Hamas, which calls in its Charter for the destruction of Israel and the murder of Jews. At the time, Obama spokesman Ben LaBolt stated, “Sen. Obama strongly opposes talking to Hamas, a terrorist group committed to Israel’s destruction. As president, he will work to isolate Hamas and target its resources, and rejects any dialogue until Hamas recognizes Israel, renounces terrorism, and abides by previous agreements.” LaBolt also gave an unequivocal assurance that Malley had provided only “informal advice to the campaign in the past,” and that Malley had “no formal role in the campaign and he will not play any role in the future.” (Lynn Sweet, ‘Obama adviser who met with Hamas resigns,’ Chicago Sun Times, May 11, 2008)

Malley, in addition to his post at the ICG, served as President Bill Clinton’s Special Assistant for Arab-Israeli Affairs (1998-2001), and as Clinton National Security Adviser Sandy Berger’s Executive Assistant (1996-1998). In a July 2001 New York Times op-ed, Malley alleged that Israel, not the Palestinian Authority (PA), was to blame for the failure of the 2000 Camp David peace talks. He also wrote further pieces co-authored with Hussein Agha, a former adviser to Yasser Arafat, blaming Israel and exonerating Arafat for the failure of the peace process. Malley’s claims are completely at variance with the detailed accounts of the 2000 negotiations provided by President Clinton, former American Middle East envoy Dennis Ross and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, all of whom pointed to Palestinian rejection without counter-offer of the peace proposals (John Perazzo, Obama’s Road to Damascus, FrontPage Magazine, November 11, 2008).

ABBAS AND ALL WESTERN POWERS FOLLOW THE PATH OF THE SHAHIDS

by Felix Quigley

November 18, 2008

P David Hornik has had a vey good assessment of the Gaza set up published in Frontpagemag.

http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/Read.aspx?GUID=B43BCCB2-1248-4FFB-8ADE-CC9689E47840

The political situation facing the Jews of Israel is a little like the Nazi Holocaust, a continual attack and propaganda pressure on Israel (The Jew), until it the Jew (or Israel) is forced to break apart, where its leaders are simply worn down and start pleading for mercy, a little like what happened in the 1930s too, and where the antisemitic capitalist states of the world appear to stand back but in fact are moving in with the Nazis to deliver the fatal blow.

It is Obama now who is sending his envoy across to prepare the ground with the Arabs for the later knife coming in. But before Obama it was Bush and Rice. Then there is Blair and Brown. Then the Russians up to their filthy UNPRINCIPLED moves etc etc. The Israeli state has become the despised Jew.

For our own and our dear readers information this is the Hornik summary, and it is good, though offering no real change or way forward.

Gaza Exploding

By P. David Hornik

FrontPageMagazine.com | Tuesday, November 18, 2008

Under heavy international pressure, Israel allowed food and medicine but not fuel supplies into Gaza on Monday. Amnesty International had called on Israel to “stop its policy of collective punishment.” European Commissioner for External Relations Benita Ferrero-Waldner had declared herself “profoundly concerned about the consequences for the Gazan population of the complete closure of all Gaza crossings for deliveries of fuel and basic humanitarian assistance.” UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon had demanded that Israel immediately end “measures which increase the hardship and suffering of the civilian population of the Gaza Strip.”

Also on Monday the Al-Quds Brigades—the military wing of Islamic Jihad—fired eight rockets from Gaza into the western Negev, damaging several houses. A little later in the morning another volley landed south of the much-besieged town of Sderot, damaging houses in a kibbutz.

And what does Israel’s defense minister, Ehud Barak, have to say about the situation? In a speech on Saturday he warned against getting “carried away,” stating: “The time may come when there will be a need for a broad operation, because we cannot accept the ongoing violation of the truce. But getting carried away is not a policy.”

Adding that he was “the minister of defense, not the minister of war,” he continued: “If the need will arise, the IDF and the security forces are ready for a powerful operation that will be painful for the other side. But security is not a matter of pride. Two years ago, we saw what an overly-rushed decision can do to Israeli security.”

He was referring, of course, to the bungled war that Israel launched against Hezbollah in the summer of 2006. The defense minister’s message, then, was threefold: (1) agreements with Israel mean nothing; (2) Israeli citizens can be attacked with impunity; and (3) the precedent of the Second Lebanon War proves that Israel is too incompetent to use military force anyway.

On Monday Barak visited Sderot with British foreign secretary David Miliband, who said the attacks from Gaza were “intolerable” and “that Israel must continue to pursue talks with the Palestinian Authority.” Barak—still seeming to be using some of his script from Saturday, and expressing an exquisite sense of “ripening”—said he had “made it clear to [Miliband] that…no country can tolerate a constant bombardment of its citizens from a foreign entity…and Israel will not accept it. We will act when the conditions ripen and there will be need for such action, and we will act with force.

DEBKAfile claimed that: “Hamas is not scared by the prospect of the Olmert government being driven to a major military operation in Gaza. Its leaders calculate that it will be so costly in casualties for the Palestinian population and Israeli troops alike that an international outcry will force the IDF to cut the campaign short without achieving its goals.”

In other words, the consequences of Israel’s 2005 “disengagement” from Gaza seemed as dire as possible, with Israel (1) under bombardment from Gaza, (2) seen as responsible for Gaza’s welfare, and (3) expected to allow the bombardment to continue.

There is a strong chance that a new Israeli government will be elected in February that, unlike the current government, will be considered “hard-line.” Its work will be cut out for it.

As for the current government, also on Monday it announced to Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas that in December it would free a further 250 Fatah security prisoners in honor of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha. At a memorial rally for Yasser Arafat last Tuesday, Abbas had proclaimed: “The Palestinian leadership will continue to follow…Arafat’s path…. The path of the shahids—Arafat, George Habash and Sheikh Ahmed Yassin—is the path that we cherish….”

From the above it is quite obvious that the Israeli Government is now a very dispirited entity and totally lacking in any self confidence.

Israel, The Jew, is facing once more all of the combined nations of the world. This really is antisemitism in its modern form.

THE MOST DANGEROUS IDEA FOR JEWS…THAT MCCAIN WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER

by Felix Quigley

November 18, 2008

We can see that those who supported McCain for President, claiming that McCain would be preferably to Obama, are now saying that “We told you so” because Obama has sent extreme Israel hater Malley over to firm up contacts with Syria, Egypt, hamas and who know else.

This is the very false message and path that Belman of Israpundit and others such as Frontpagemag are beginning to thread.

But this covers for their own support for US Imperialism of which Bush, the Clintons, Carter and Obama are all part.

It is a dead end. It is the end for the Jewish people if they follow this barren and bankrupt political line of Belman. What Belman and his likes are doing is saying to the Jews that US Imperialism can be a friend of the Jews if only they can get the right people into the White House. It is a total dependence on US Imperialism to save the Jews. To carry this through then the actual history of all sections of the US elite and what they did in the Balkans has to be whitewashed.

Obama will be President and we have to follow closely what he does as a representative of this US Imperialism. That Belman calls Obama a Marxist etc is just Belman muddying the waters for the Jewish people.

Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) has written this:

[begin quote here]

Senator Obama was criticized in May for having Malley on his team of Middle East advisers after the latter admitted to being in regular contact with Hamas as part of his work with the George Soros-funded International Crisis Group (ICG), whose Middle East and North Africa Program he directs. Malley has worked with officials from several countries, urging them to recognize Hamas, which calls in its Charter for the destruction of Israel and the murder of Jews. ZOA National President Morton A. Klein said, “We view these revelations with alarm and shock. In May, the Obama campaign made it crystal clear that Senator Obama did not agree with Malley’s support for recognizing Hamas without Hamas making substantive changes to its platform and behavior. It also was unequivocal that Malley would have no future role whatsoever in the Obama campaign.

“It appears that we were deceived. Obama advisers are reported to have conducted talks with Hamas, listed as a terrorist group by the State Department, and without Hamas having met any of the conditions President Obama publicly laid down as preconditions for such talks. It is also a serious matter that such talks were conducted by private citizens, rather than by a decision of the U.S. government. And despite explicit words dissociating Robert Malley from the Obama campaign, Malley is now reported to have continued to work for the President-elect at the highest level, meeting with Syrian and Egyptian officials, despite Malley’s on-going work trying to legitimize Hamas. Clearly, it was inaccurate and misleading of Mr. LaBolt to say Robert Malley was not part of the campaign while he continued to work for Senator Obama.

“We urge we urge President-elect Obama to immediately clarify if these reports are accurate or not.”

Obama is doing what one would expect Obama to do. That would be precisely what McCain and Palin would have done as well.

The whole of the US ruling elite is anti Jew and is anti Israel. It is just that the whole of this elite play this complicated tune. They have to make a pretence of being in support of the Jewish people because the American people feel strong bonds of friendship with the Jews and they do recognize that Israel is geographically swamped by its Arab neighbours.

Remember that in post 1945 the US capitalist state took under its wing tens of thousands of Nazis, especially into the US Intelligence department, that is the part of the ruling American class which spreads lies.

Essentially the lie that they spread concerned the Palestinians. The origin of this concept is Nazi. The Big Lie has been carried out with persistence and skill and it has merged in with another proven and long standing feature, the Jew Hatred of the Arabs and the Islamists towards Jews. Israel has become the hated Jew of our era.

The reason we know that this lie has got Nazi roots is seen in that the basis of this lie is the hiding and rewriting of history. Thus the central lie that the Jews were grasping by nature (a totally antisemitic theme), overlooking that from 1920 to 1922 the Jews lost 78 per cent of their promised land for a Homeland.

Then look at how the Palestinian Refugee lie was promoted. This brings to mind the lie of the Srebrenica Massacre.

There are very very deep forces at work behind all of this. To suggest for a moment that US Imperialism, all sections of it, is not up to its eyeballs in all of this anti Jew propaganda is to do a terrible disservice to the Jewish people.

That is what Belman, Israpundit and Frontpagemag have become. They carry out this service on behalf of US Imperialism and in doing so they actually continually stop Jews being united with the ordinary American people.

My feeling is that a completely quantitative development needs to be made. I am certain that the answer will come from the Left but it will be a struggle for principle and against all those who call themselves “Left” today.

TASKS FOR A NEW GENERATION…NO PALESTINE STATE

by Felix Quigley

November 17, 2008

What is the purpose of what has become known as the “Palestinian” movement?

Any sober answer to this must go along the lines of a wish to destroy “Zionism”. But what is Zionism? Disregard the lies. Zionism is the national movement of the Jews to have a Homeland. It is just as valid as Irish nationalism.

The Jews are a people who are interconnected with their ancient religion and customs. Is it so extraordinary then that this ancient movement has got religious aspects!

The only wish for the Palestinian movement is the destruction of Israel, which they see as a Zionist presence in the Middle East. This is interlaced with Islam which I will not go into at the moment.

But this Zionism which they are so full of hatred for is the oldest national movement which exists.

These thoughts come to mind, and the seeming inability of some Jewish leaders in Israel and even ordinary people to understand.

DEBKAfile’s military and intelligence sources report that the foundering of the Gaza truce amid renewed Hamas missile attacks and terrorist plots are the direct outcome of the Israeli government’s passive military stance and over-reliance on Egypt to pull its Palestinian chestnuts out of the fire. That is the predominant view of senior Israeli military officials, including commanders of the Southern Command.

Thursday night, Nov. 13, the Palestinians fired five missiles, including two Grads, against Ashkelon, Sderot, Netivot and Or Haner. Suspense is building up around the Gaza Strip amid fears of a major Palestinian attack on Israeli forces and civilian locations over the weekend.

The last six months, Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert, defense minister Ehud Barak and foreign minister Tzipi Livni counted on Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak to heal the quarrel between the rival Palestinian Hamas and Fatah factions, pacify the Gaza Strip and extricate the kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilead Shalit from Hamas captivity.

Although Mubarak’s bid flopped and the Palestinians had been clearly preparing to revive their large-scale terror plots and missile blitz for some weeks, the government failed to revise its tactics, pre-empt the rising threat, or explain to the Israeli public what went wrong.

It was not until Nov. 11, when intelligence was received of a secret tunnel designed to facilitate a large-scale Hamas kidnap operation that a decision was taken to blow up the tunnel. The soldiers were ordered not to touch the Hamas special force assigned with the abductions or their operational headquarters at el Bureij.

Nonetheless, Hamas leaders decided to risk reviving their missile blitz and efforts to kidnap Israeli soldiers or civilians.

Senior officers in the Southern Command believe that a serious Hamas cross-border terrorist attack is on the way. Since Cairo’s mediation failure, no one there, in Damascus or even Riyadh exercises any control over the Hamas leadership in Gaza.

According to intelligence from Gaza, Hamas leaders have turned their backs on Egypt’s pacification efforts and moved on with their objective, which is to fight their Fatah rival, Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas to the finish, by dint of factional warfare and major clashes with Israel.

Israel’s government heads persist in ignoring this information. Indeed Olmert and Barak are at loggerheads on how to handle the escalating Gaza peril. This was apparent during their joint visit to the IDF’s Gaza division headquarters Wednesday, Nov. 12. The prime minister said that a large-scale military confrontation with Hamas is waiting at the end of the road, whereas Barak said that while action must be taken against terror threats, it is important to preserve the truce.

It was clear to the soldiers listening to them that the truce belonged to the past.

Suspense ahead of Hamas aggression was so high Thursday, Nov. 13, that Israel revoked the permission given a few hours earlier for a 30-truck convoy to pass through into the Gaza Strip with food and goods for the population. And a handing-over ceremony for the Gaza Division commanders was called off.

There is no solution based on “peace” possible. There is no peace process and there can never be any peace process.

The Palestinian movement was founded by Nazis, Hajj Amin el Husseini was a Nazi, and he it was who gave to this Palestinian movement its central being.

When George Bush stepped forward in the Rose Garden and called for the first time for the creation of a Palestinian State Bush was carrying out the wishes and aims of Husseini.

When Obama will follow with a high level push to unite Hamas and Fatah and organize an armed camp called the Palestinian state right inside Israel land then he is following in the footsteps of Husseini.

And Hussein was the right hand man of Adolf Hitler in the Holocaust.

Israel can only be defended by socialist revolution internationally and by a Trotskyist leadership internationally and in Israel.

There will be no peace to be made with Nazis. There will and only can be struggle, including armed struggle. There is no separation between political struggle and armed struggle.

A step forward must be taken in the coming Israeli election to defeat at all costs Livni, Olmert and Barak. Netanyahu and other more patriotic Israelis must be given the opportunity to form a government. The first step of theirs is to break from Obama, break from Britain and the EU, and insist that there will be no state of Palestine. The actual history of this Palestinian concept and culture must become known to a new generation of Trotskyists, who may well in the main be youth.

GAZA IS AWASH WITH GOODS OF ALL KINDS

by Felix Quigley

November 17, 2008

I will not go again into the story of how the very stupid Sharon persuaded the Jews to pull all Jews out of Gaza and were answered with unending rockets and the kidnapping of Shalit.

Just to say that Amnesty International bears no love for Jews, and perhaps not a single member of their boards understand a single item of the real history of the Jews since 1919 in Palestine.

Now the AI write

It quoted residents of Gaza who said that “they could not even find candles in the market any more.”

The AI further write

An AI official was quoted as saying: ‘Israel’s latest tightening of its blockade has made an already dire humanitarian situation markedly worse. This is nothing short of collective punishment of Gaza’s civilian population and it must stop immediately.’ Quoted in

http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/128400

The reader could do worse, however, if they wish to find out what the true picture is not to take the AI at its word but turn to this site

http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/128400

The pictures of markets shown on the above site shows the country of Gaza which is brimming with goods. I am sure there are poor people in Gaza but that is not the point. The point is that AI is part of the modern antisemitism, which is hatred for Israel and the elevation of a phony Palestinianism.

Another site does not have the pictures in such detail but has this vital remark, which we quote:

You have been lied to by Hamas:Gaza Market Bustling with Wares

Gil Ronen Gaza Market Bustling with Wares

Hamas in Gaza put a network of about 1,000 tunnels that pass under the Egypt-Gaza border on display this weekend, and invited journalists to take pictures and interview the tunnels’ owners. Blue Eye website

In what reporters called “a carefully planned PR campaign,” Hamas has been touting the tunnels as a means to avoid “starvation” in Gaza and its leaders have begun referring to them as “Tunnels of Life” because of the food and medicine that is smuggled into Gaza through them.

Fuel at Half Price

“When Israel decided earlier this year to temporarily suspend fuel supplies to the Gaza Strip in response to the rocket attacks on Israeli towns and cities, the smugglers installed underground pipes that continue to pump gasoline into the Gaza Strip,” the Jerusalem Post reported. “As a result, motorists there pay nearly half the price they were paying several months ago to fill their cars.”

Pictures posted on a Hebrew website specializing in Arab news showed a bustling market in Rafiah (Rafah) filled with goods of all kinds, from food to electronics, apparently belying the claims of dire shortages. Rafiah is located in southern Gaza, on the border with Egypt.

Meanwhile, news sites in the Islamic world and elsewhere showed Gazan children in the dark, holding candles, and quoted an Amnesty International (AI) press release which blasted Israel for a policy of “collective punishment.”

http://docstalk.blogspot.com/2008/11/you-have-been-lied-to-by-hamasgaza.html

This is all part of the total crap put out every day to build up this phony Palestinianism.

They have becoem so expert at this they hardly need to think. So a “Palestinian” child finding her way with a candle, while the place is awash with everything, including half price petrol. Remember these are Arabs and Arabs control the petrol supplies.

The question I wish to ask is why do movements who call themselves “Left”, and why do journalists at places like the BBC, not even have to think on this before spewing out propaganda against Israel.

It really is because they are antisemitic. They are such supporters of the “poor Palestinians” because they hate Israel, and Israel is just the contemporary name for the Jew.

AS TROTSKYISTS RIGHTING THIS ANCIENT WRONG IS OUR NO 1 PRIORITY

by Felix Quigley

November 17, 2008

Last week we published some of the sterling historical work of Joseph Alexander Norland and other principled Jewish historians. Norland covers much ground but the key point in time to me always seems to be the period from 1917 until about 1922.

[begin quote here]

IMPORTANCE OF SAN REMO CONFERENCE 1920

(Transjordania is excluded)

After WW I, the major powers at the 1919 Peace Conference in Paris agreed on granting the mandate over Palestine to Britain, along the lines of the Balfour Declaration of November 2, 1917 (Martin Gilbert, p. 42). The details were fleshed out in the San Remo Conference, April 1920, where the boundaries of Palestine were outlined to include contemporary Israel, Judea, Samaria, Gaza, Jordan and the Golan Heights.

The political events in 1919-1920 that are relevant to this article include the crowning of the Emir Feisal of Hedjaz as King of Syria and his ouster by force at the hands of the French army that occupied Syria and Lebanon in July 1920 (shortly after the San Remo Conference). As a result, Faisal’s younger brother, Abdullah, made his way to contemporary Jordan at the head of a small band of fighters to help Faisal. Contemporaneously, the Palestinian Arabs had become vocal in their

opposition to the Zionist project.

Thus, at the Cairo Conference of March 1921, Churchill took another step in a long series of attempts to appease the Arabs: the east bank of Palestine was delivered to Abdullah as his future kingdom, together with a hefty subsidy (i.e., bribe), and the area was excluded from the Jewish National Home. In return, Abdullah gave up the attempt to reinstall his brother as king of Syria. This exclusion of “Transjordania” from the Jewish National Home was enshrined in the mandate given by the League of Nations to Britain on July 24, 1922.

(Later –  Britain’s useless attempts to appease the Palestinian-Arabs and the consequent emboldening of the Palestinian-Arab terrorists which ultimately backfired on the British

themselves.)

The exclusion of the west bank removed 78% of the total area allocated to the Jewish National Home by the League of Nations at San Remo.

THE ILLEGAL CEDING OF THE GOLAN TO FRANCE BY THE BRITISH

In 1923, the Golan was ceded by Britain to France, the mandatory power over Syria and Lebanon. The circumstances under which this chunk of land was lopped off the Jewish National Home is explained in an article posted by Camera, as follows:

Having discovered the Golan lacks oil but that the Mosul area in northern Syria is rich in oil, the British cede the Golan to France in return for Mosul. Traditionally Mosul was part of Syria while the Golan was part of the Galilee. In return for the Golan, France relinquishes any claim to Palestine.

It is unclear how this act was reconciled with the League of Nations mandate which stipulated quite explicitly in Article 5:

Article 5.

The Mandatory shall be responsible for seeing that no Palestine territory shall be ceded or leased to, or in any way placed under the control of, the Government of any foreign Power.

(End of quote and I continue my comment)

I feel that we need to make a separate analysis of the British Christian movement which anteceded Balfour because I do not believe that this (The Balfour Declaration) was simply imperial inspired (seeking a point of control in the Middle East)

Place the issue of Jews and antisemitism into its historical context. As Francisco Gil White and others have shown there was not one century since these 2 millenia were ushered in that the Jews have not been persecuted because of antisemitism. An Irish person called Conor Cruise O’Brien stated that antisemitism was a light sleeper. It is also a very long light sleeper.

Some of these sentiments were present in the period following the 1914-18 war in an attempt by the world powers to make up for the dreadful past which they themselves were responsible for. So the idea of giving the Jews a national home in Palestine was seen as doable.

To understand why it is doable consider

1. Palestine itself as laid out in 1920 (The San Remo Conference which was fleshing out the decisions made at the Versailles Treaty) was not considered a huge area to give to the Jews. In that way it seemed doable. To understand this the reader simply has to get the maps in front and understand that the area of Palestine as it was understood then to be was a very small fraction of the total area which was being allotted to the Arabs in general, with whole vast new states being created, drawn up quite artificially. See the maps before you go any further on this.

2. And at San Remo let us deal with the liars and answer what was meant by this land to be given to the Jews as their National Home. It was present day Jordan, present day Israel, Gaza, Golan, and all of that area now known sometimes as the West Bank but whose proper name is Judea and Samarea.

So this brings us to the present position of our Trotskyist movement.

We are incensed not because we are Jews because most of us are not but because another terrible injustice has been done to the Jews.

What happened has been well explained. No 1 agitation by the Islamofascists, yes they certainly did exist at the time, and later, as when in the 1930s Trotsky referred to people like Husseini as “the reactionary Mohammedans”. No 2 was the actual antisemitism in the British capitalist state as Balfour was edged out and these changes in the political state started to link up with antisemitic actions on the ground by the British Army. A student of Irish history will understand this close link between His or Her Majesty’s Armed Forces and reactionary currents inside the body politic itself. No 3 was the manipulator Churchill who did the most damage to the Jewish people that has ever been done because he could not stand up to Islamofascism. The present state of the British state re Islam could well reflect on this early example. Churchill as Norland points out lopped off 78 per cent from the Jewish Homeland of Palestine in one go.

I have always written on this that the Jewish people never really were able to get over this one single action. It is the most significant event in all of this history.

As far as the Jews were concerned the Mandate was a sacred trust, trust which was placed in British Imperialism, perfidious Albion, and it was in the placing of theis trust in such inveterate liars that the project of Herzl began to turn into a Hardian tragedy.

Yet the Jews always fought on. Read the same article please, in which we draw on the analysis which David Singer made on the Peel Commission which was giving the Jews a tiny tiny percentage of that original not that grand 100 per cent. And not even giving the Jews Jerusalem! Yet the Jews were prepared to accept this.

So we had antisemitism being carried on inside new forms. So much so that the pathos of the Jews in Jerusalem as described by Karl Marx in 1954 has not really left their situation, it was present in Peel in the 1930s, which anticipated the Holocaust, carried on into the present.

We will explore this present from this perspective of deep sympathy for the Jewish people.

Make no mistake about it we are Trotskyists, we believe that socialist revolution against decrepid capitalism is the way, and we place the righting of this ancient wrong against this most ancient of peoples as our number one priority.
