Doyle is claiming here that the Israelis are Nazis. This is quite typical of the majority of the posts now coming in on the many articles being run on the war between Israel and Hamas

 

But the finger points back at Doyle because Doyle is supporting the “Palestinians” founded indeed by the very Nazis themselves. The “Palestinians” were founded by Hajj Amin el Husseini who actually took a leading role in the Holocaust of the Jews. El Husseini was the close buddy of Himmler and Eichmann.

 

Doyle is not alone. There are whole heaps of people who opérate in a Nazi Jew hating type pack. Here I am not at all thinking of a pack of animals because I happen to be a big lover of all animals. No I mean as a pack of humans motivated by Nazi and Jew hating ideologies

First of all I placed in “google search” the words Palestine Blogger Facebook and there came up many entries, with Atlas Shrugs at the top

Then I placed the following “palestinian blogger facebook galloway ipsc”, because I wanted to see if Galloway on his blog or the Irish Palestine Solidarity Campaign were covering the issue.

there was nothing at all on the issue from these. This means that both Galloway and the IPSC are severely doctoring the News.

The biggest form of Lies today are Lies of Omision. It is the refusal to give the facts and to edit the Facts or News.

Yet this story about this Palestinian Arab who lives in Gaza is of extreme importance and is most instructional. It certainly has to go into the pot to get a handle on what is happening there, and what are the tensions in a future (planned by US Government) of the state of Palestine “living side by side in peace with Israel!!!LOL”

Obama just sent these cavemen another 150 million dollars, while he was cutting off Israel’s oxygen. Appalling. This Palestinaian blogger needs my bus ad.

The case of the unlikely apostate, a shy barber from the West Bank town of Qalqilya, is highlighting the limits of tolerance in the Western-backed Palestinian Authority – and illustrating a new trend by authorities in the Arab world to mine social media for evidence.

Residents of Qalqilya say they had no idea that Walid Husayin – the 26-year-old son of a Muslim scholar – was leading a double life.

Now, Husayin faces a potential life prison sentence on heresy charges for “insulting the divine essence.” Many in this conservative Muslim town say he should be killed for renouncing Islam, and even family members say he should remain behind bars for life.

“He should be burned to death,” said Abdul-Latif Dahoud, a 35-year-old Qalqilya resident. The execution should take place in public “to be an example to others,” he added.

[…]His Facebook groups elicited hundreds of angry comments, detailed death threats and the formation of more than a dozen Facebook groups against him, including once called “Fight the blasphemer who said ‘I am God.'”

Husayin is the first to be arrested in the West Bank for his religious views, said Tayseer Tamimi, the former chief Islamic judge in the area.

The Western-backed Palestinian Authority is among the more religiously liberal Arab governments in the region. It is dominated by secular elites and has frequently cracked down on hardline Muslims and activists connected to its conservative Islamic rival, Hamas.

Caught by café owner

Husayin used a fake name on his English and Arabic-language blogs and Facebook pages. After his mother discovered articles on atheism on his computer, she canceled his Internet connection in hopes that he would change his mind.

Instead, he began going to an Internet cafe – a move that turned out to be a costly mistake. The owner, Ahmed Abu-Asal, said the blogger aroused suspicion by spending up to seven hours a day in a corner booth. After several months, a cafe worker supplied captured snapshots of his Facebook pages to Palestinian intelligence officials.

Officials monitored him for several weeks and then arrested him on October 31 as he sat in the cafe, said Abu-Asal.

Husayin’s family has been devastated by the arrest. On a recent day, his father stood sadly in the family barber shop, cluttered with colorful towels and posters of men in outdated haircuts. He requested that a reporter not write about his son to avoid being publicly shamed.

Two cousins attributed the writings to depression, saying Husayin was desperate to find better work. Requesting anonymity because of the shame the incident, they said Husayin’s mother wants him to remain in prison for life – both to restore the family’s honor and to protect him from vigilantes.

Hamas ‘stalks’ Facebook pages

Gaza’s Hamas rulers stalk Facebook pages of suspected dissenters, said Palestinian rights activist Mustafa Ibrahim. He said Internet cafe owners are forced to monitor customers’ online activity, and alert intelligence officials if they see anything critical of the militant group or that violates Hamas’ stern interpretation of Islam.

Both governments also create fake Facebook profiles to befriend and monitor known dissidents, activists said. Such “stalking” on Facebook and other social media sites has become increasingly common in the Arab world. In Lebanon, four people were arrested over the summer and accused of slandering President Michel Suleiman on Facebook. All have been released on bail.

In neighboring Syria, Facebook is blocked altogether. And in Egypt, a blogger was charged with atheism in 2007 after intelligence officials monitored his posts.

He could face a life sentence if he’s found guilty, depending on how harshly the judge thinks he attacked Islam and how widely his views were broadcast, said Islamic scholar Tamimi.

Even so, a small minority has questioned whether the government went too far.

Zainab Rashid, a liberal Palestinian commentator, wrote in an online opinion piece that Husayin has made an important point: “that criticizing religious texts for their (intellectual) weakness can only be combatted by … oppression, prison and execution.”

THE CONVOY OF HATRED LED BY GEORGE GALLOWAY

Viva Palestina’s latest convoy to Gaza has found some wonderful partners between Turkey and Jordan.

Turkey
In Turkey, Viva Palestina has teamed up with a Turkish Islamist charity, IHH, as reported here. IHH is very close to Hamas and has been banned by Israel for that reason.

Never mind, the alliance gives Viva Palestina access to Turkish politicians, including Numan Kurtulmuş, the head of the hard line Islamist Felicity Party. At a reception for convoy leaders he hosted in Ankara, he must have warmed Holocaust mocker George Galloway’s heart with this barb:

“Israel is continuously keeping the Holocaust on the international agenda. Well, what about Israeli actions in Gaza?”

Here is a lovely picture from the Turkish meetings. Kurtulmuş is the third from the right of the men seated at the table. On the left is Kevin Ovenden of the “Respect” party, sporting a “resistance” look. Next to Ovenden is Mohammed Sawalha, a fugitive Hamas commander who has also been named on IslamOnline as “manager of the political committee of the International Organization of the Brothers [i.e. the Muslim Brotherhood] in Britain”.

Syria
On to Syria. Guess who was waiting to greet the convoy?

Earlier on Sunday morning, the vehicles of the lifeline convoy were warmly received at the Bab Al-Salama border crossing in Aleppo by a number of Syrian officials, people and Palestinian leaders.

In a welcoming speech, Osama Hamdan, the representative of Hamas in Lebanon, said that this aid convoy is the fruit of efforts made by some free men and women from Europe in solidarity with the Palestinian Arab rights aiming at breaking the siege on Gaza.

In Damascus, where the dictatorship put convoy participants up in a posh hotel, it was time for the honour of an audience with Hamas leader Abu Marzook. He’s in the middle of the picture below, between Galloway on the left and Bulent Yildirim, the head of Turkish charity IHH, on the right. Sawalha also graced the meeting with his presence.

Jordan
In Amman, ever helpful Sawalha was on the spot again, according to the “Palestine Solidarity Campaign”, a backer of the convoy of love for Hamas:

“An hour, or maybe more, later we were allowed to move, and drove on to a reception at a trade union centre in Amman, given by the Jordanian Engineer’s Association, in association with opposition parties. George Galloway and Mohammed Sawalha, of the British Muslim Initiative, both there.”

Here’s a picture of Galloway with Hamam Said, the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan and a pro-Hamas man who is considered hard core even by Brotherhood standards. Oh dear, they look a bit glum.

Worse was to come. When the convoy reached the Jordanian port of Aqaba, Egypt refused permission for it to sail. In Amman, Said and around 100 others, yes, the stunning total of 100, according to this report, did what any normal person would do when Egypt makes a decision: hold an angry demonstration and burn the Israeli flag.

In Aqaba, Yildirim of IHH added to the belligerence with a call for the siege of Egyptian embassies, the filthy tools of the Israelis:

Up until now the world thought only Israel was a war criminal. But Egypt has proved it is also complicit in this crime. By preventing us Egypt has proved it is an Israeli-guided state. We will not remain silent against Egypt and besiege Egyptian embassies and consulates for days if needed.

Israel is encouraged by the Egyptian stance, Yıldırım noted, adding “They are proposing the aid convoy to enter Gaza through Israel. In other words, they have sold Gaza to Israel.”

For their part, stranded humanitarian peace ‘n love activists in Aqaba did their bit against Satan:

To protest Israel Gaza convoy activists resorted to an unusual method. They gathered at the Jordanian coast of the Aqaba Gulf and hurled stones at the Israeli coast of the Gulf, an act resembling devil stoning during hajj ritual. The activists carried pro-Palestinian banners and shouted anti-Israel slogans.

In the end Egypt agreed to allow the convoy to enter the country, but only through the Mediterranean port of Al Arish. So back on the road it was, to the Syrian port of Lattakia, where a Hamas camp kindly hosted the wayfarers.

The intrepid devil-stoning souls are now in Egypt, on their way to Gaza.

PS

It now appears that Egypt and states like Egypt will use the Arab “Palestinians” to make war on Israel and to kill Jews. That is the default position.

But when it comes to the crunch the Egyptians fear and hate Hamas, which is really the Palestine section of their own Muslim Brotherhood, their own sworn enemy. Hence the riots and an Egyptian death as a result of Galloway’s Convoy.

But this is not all. This Convoy really on behalf of Hamas, a banned organization, a known terror organization, has campaigned for months in Ireland and Britain.

They collected their money, held their Jew hating meetings, then set off.

And the Governments in Ireland and in Britain did not a thing. This is a clear example of the way that anti-Semitism is working in our era. The responsibility goes right back to the Fianna fail government led by Cohen, and to the Brown Labour Government in Britain. Cameron would be no better whatsoever, not worse, both equally bad towards these terrorist “Palestinians”.

THE IRANIAN BOMB THREAT MEANS THAT YOU MUST BUILD THE TROTSKYIST PARTY

What dominates everything in the world today is the political and economic crisis in the capitalist system. This is a stinking corpse, in terminal decline and nothing shows this better than that there is a real possibility of a new Shoah of the Jews at the hands of the Iranian Fascists.

Some people think that opposition to Ahmadinejad by courageous youth in Iran means a weakening and a lessening of the threat to israel. In fact the very opposite is the casde.

More and more power is concentrated in the hands of the fundamentalists, the revolutionary guard element.

But the real danger to incineration of Jews again comes from the US Imperialists under Obama, the European antisemites and pro Arabists like Zapatero (see the Southern Sahara case), but most of all from the supine leaders in Israel itself

We on 4international say that there must be a huge campaign in Israel and outside, to concentrate on uniting with Netanyahu and forcing Netanyahu to act immediately with the IAF against the Iranian Nuclear bomb making.

This must be made the centre of all activity of Israeli, jewish and pro Israeli groups. There must be marches, demonstrations, calls by every group and it must focus on this very issue.

Essentially all other issues pale into insignificance in comparision to this.

This struggle will mean a war against the Staslinists and revisionist Lefts like Chomsky. The most important thing is the creation of a true trotskyist party on Trotskyist principles.

This latter struggle to build up Trotskyism means to take up a struggle against the sceptics like Ayn reagan and yamit82 on Israpundit, and also on pro US Imperialists like Ted belman on the same site, and on others.

This is the purpose of 4international, to fight for this.

US president Barack Obama’s tough talk of sanctions has melted into soft soap for luring Iran into further dialogue. Adopting the reverse tactic, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sounds almost reasonable for a change, even as Tehran pushes its revolutionary goals as pugnaciously as ever.

DEBKAfile‘s Washington sources disclose Saturday, Dec. 19 that official US warnings that Washington’s patience is running out and tough sanctions are imminent are no more than a smokescreen for three major steps embarked on by the Obama administration in the last four days for dragging out sanctions and setting back military action against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu gave the US president another six months for diplomacy without the threat of military action when they met at the White House November 9. The first six months’ grace runs out at the end of Dec. 2009. The second ends in mid-2010. Netanyahu was backed up by defense minister Ehud Barak who said Monday, Dec. 14: “There is still time for diplomatic action to stop Iran.”

Using the respite, our sources report that the US president offered three inducements for tempting Tehran to call off its military program:

1. Whereas Tuesday, Dec. 15, Congress approved penalties for firms selling Iran gasoline and the insurance companies underwriting its sale, the following day, the influential senator John Kerry announced through his spokesman Frederic Jones that the Foreign Relations Committee, which he heads, “needs time to consider the bill.”

2. Friday, Dec. 17, Pentagon spokeswoman Tara Rigler announced a six-month delay in deploying the precision-guided, 30,000-pound Massive Ordnance Penetrator or “bunker buster” bomb (developed specifically for the nuclear facilities Iran and North Korea have sunk deep under ground).

“Funding delays and enhancements to the planned test schedule have pushed the capability availability date to Dec. 2010,” she announced.

Only five months ago, in August, the US Air Force announced that the 15-ton bomb for delivery by B-2 stealth bombers had been funded and would be ready for service in July 2010.

Washington is thus offering Tehran another six months to play with, free of threat of sanctions and safe from the bombardment of its subterranean nuclear facilities.

3. Over the weekend beginning Friday, Dec. 18, Israeli newspaper correspondents briefed by administration officials ran stories denigrating Mossad director Meir Dagan as the only Israeli official hold-out on the need to attack Iran. He is presented as being in the grip of a fixation detrimental to his handling of other key issues. One editorial advised the Israeli government to learn to live with a nuclear-armed Iran.

But the Obama administration’s lures had at least one result: Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, speaking from the Copenhagen climate conference, said:

“Everything is possible, 400 kilos, 800 kilos, it’s nothing,” for enrichment abroad, “but not in a climate where they threaten us. From the outset, delivery of 1,200 kilos of uranium was not a problem for us, but if they believe they can wave a stick to threaten us, those days are over. They have to change their vocabulary to respect and legality.”

While preaching to others about sticks, the Iranian president must have thought the big sticks Tehran waved in the last four days alone were invisible.

Wednesday, Dec. 12, Tehran launched an improved Sejil 2 missile which DEBKAfile‘s military sources confirm is capable of penetrating US and Israeli anti-missile defense shields and defying their interceptors, although US and Israeli sources were at pains to play down its capabilities. Those sources report that Sejil-2 is loaded with electronic chips used as decoys to mislead the electronic systems of the Israeli Arrow 2 and the US Patriot, Aegis and THAAD anti-missile missile systems.

Only last week, furthermore, Tehran signed a new military pact with Syria, roping in the Lebanese Hizballah and Palestinian Hamas as second-strike wielders; Wednesday, the “Iranian Cyber Army” hacked into Twitter and filled its home page with anti-US slogans; for most of December, Iran-backed Yemeni rebels have kept Saudi and government forces on the run and, Friday, Iranian soldiers seized control of an Iraqi oil well in a disputed border region.

All the same, Obama’s beckoning gestures and Ahmadinejad’s smooth response indicate a fresh round of talks will be explored between the 5P+1 bloc (five Security Council permanent members plus Germany) and Iran before sanctions are broached or either the US or Israel resort to military action against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

This means that Washington’s determined ultimatum to Iran to comply with its international obligations by the end of 2009 has been extended by a whole year – an extra six months granted by Israeli up to June 2010 and another six months which President Obama tagged on himself in order to further delay an Israeli attack on Iran.

By then, it will all be over: Tehran will have attained a nuclear weapon plus the means of delivery.

Saturday, an Iranian military spokesman declared: “Our forces are on our own soil, and based on the known international borders this well belongs to Iran.”

It is not hard to imagine how Tehran will comport itself once it has “the bomb.”

I personally know nothing about Quinn except that his politics are the same as the ISM and the IPSC. These are supporters of Palestinian Arab terrorists and the initials stand for International Solidarity Movement, and Irish Palestinian Solidarity Campaign.

Antisemitism in the so-called “Left” cannot be understood without examining Stalin and Stalinism, then also the degeneration caused by Tony Cliff, Mandel, Healy, Grant and others when they decided to support the “Palestinians”, not telling any of their mainly youthful members of the role of the Nazi Hajj Amin el Husseini in the creation of Palestinianism.

These Stalinists, so-called Trotskyists and of course the Imperialist Governments and Media have all worked together to hide the real history of Leon Trotsky, that in the 1930s the great socialist revolutionary was a serious supporter of the Jews setting up their Homeland, the to be Israel.

TRADE UNION LEADERS IN IRELAND SHOW HATRED OF ISRAEL

We on 4international are totally opposed to the Jew Haters of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions leaders who have just called for a boycott of Israel.

The trade union movement in Ireland has a proud history with connections t the great socialist leaders and Irish patriots, James Connolly and Jim Larkin. There are also connections between this early movement and the socialist revolutionaries Lenin and Trotsky. When both Connolly and Larkin spent time in America they were organizing among many nationalities, but especially among the Irish and Jewish workers and trade unionists in the early 1900s. These present ICTU leaders are trampling on the history and record of Connolly and Larkin in calling for a boycott of Israel.

These leaders are now full of hatred for Israel and are a great danger not only to Israel and to Jews but to Irish workers also. How can Irish workers be successful in the struggle for socialism if led by leaders who are are joining in with Fascist enemies of Israel and of Jews everywhere, including in Ireland.

These leaders have just met and called for a boycott of Israel, which is the only Homeland that the Jews have. We await with interest what will be the position of these leaders on bomb attacks in Israel by Fascist Palestinian Arabs, on the threat to destroy Israel by Ahmadinejad etc. Will they even take a position on the Bulldozer murder of 3 Jews two days ago!

Israel’s darkest week

The Olmert-Livni-Barak-Yishai government’s liquidation sale of Israel’s strategic assets opened officially this week. Iran’s proxies have pounced on the merchandise.

The first asset sold was the security of southern Israel. The Olmert-Livni-Barak-Yishai government’s “cease-fire” with Hamas transferred all power to determine the fate of the residents of southern Israel to Iran’s Palestinian proxy.

Under the “agreement,” Hamas will refrain from attacking Sderot, Ashkelon, Netivot and surrounding kibbutzim for as long as it serves its interests. Since temporarily halting its attacks on southern Israel is the only thing that Hamas has agreed to do, it will use the lull in fighting to build up its arsenal and its military infrastructures in Gaza. When it has built up its forces sufficiently, or when its Iranian overlords give it the order, Hamas will again attack southern Israel. And when it reengages, it can be assumed that it will do so with a vastly expanded missile range. So under the guise of the “cease-fire,” Hamas will place hundreds of thousands more Israelis at its mercy.

This is a very amazing story, and although it may not seem on the surface to be, it has got great implications for the Jewish struggle for national liberation and freedom.

The wonderful Jewish news service IsraelNationalNews has just carried a story concerning a Jewish man of whom very little is known outside of Israeli and Jewish circles, and sometimes if truth be told not even there as well.

It concerns a man called Hillel Kook and his memory and it involves what is known as Yad Vashem, which is the authority set up to conserve the memory of the Holocaust (in the words of Google…Yad Vashem’s task is to perpetuate the legacy of the Holocaust to future generations so that the world never forgets the horrors and cruelty …)

ONE JEWISH ROCKET REPLIES TO TENS OF THOUSANDS

A yeshiva student in the north-central Samaria town of Yitzhar fired a homemade Kassam-like rocket at a hostile Arab village; no one was hurt.  The GSS is investigating.

After the violent events of Thursday morning, in which police and army forces destroyed a caravan and a storage container on hilltops in Yitzhar, using clubs to beat and disperse protestors, the people of Yitzhar found themselves facing another “incident” just a few hours later.

Police reported that a student in the Od Yosef Chai Yeshiva in Yitzhar fired a home-made Kassam-like rocket towards a nearby Arab village.  The rocket landed in an open area – some 50 meters away from a Jewish man engaged in prayer.

All that is clear. This group B’Tselem is made up of extreme Israel haters. The interesting thing that most are living as Jews in Israel. Please do not call them “Left”. Theyu are left in no discernible way. The correct title is traitors, and actually we have in Ireland these kinds of traitors to Irish nationalism also, lots of them.

So then what about a Jewish man called David Taub living in England? What role does he play in all of this and why do I mention his name.

Israpundit and its leader editor Ted Belman continue to drive the Jewish people into deeper and deeper crisis, at any rate as far as any leadership from Israpundit is concerned. In a posting concerning the plans to get together in Israel some kind of Unity Party, which will fight the next elections, Belman posted concerning this and other things. If you read the comments you will see a raving post from somebody called SunstartMF33 (no idea what those numbers mean…seems like magic) which is the most reactionary drivel possible. To this guy the only person who can fight for Israel is an out and out religious type.

Forget that! Look it up if you want!

Then! Yamit82 weighed in, a guy of whom I do not have his real name, but who parrots on Israpundit the saying of one Samson Blinded (which is an actual blog). It is the last part of Yamit82 post that I reproduce here:

This stuff from Yamit82 is sheer madness. He is allowed to post on Israpundit without a whimper of opposition from Belman.

But I know for a fact that Belman is an atheist Jew. Why is this kind of drivel then given the go ahead on the Israpundit blog.

The Israpundit blog was actually also founded by at least one atheist, Joseph Alexander Norland. I do not know about the other 3 co-founders. So where does this now leave Norland according to Yamit82!!!

Should one just treat yamit82 as a blethering madman! Well no! The point is that Belman is full of compromises and it is this method that makes him now work consciously on the election of McCain, and thereby work consciously through his blog Israpuindit to hide what he knows very well, that McCain has been a pusher of Islam in the Balkans.

One compromise with the truth, another compromise with the truth, another…and so it goes on. You then have a system of betrayal.

If Olmert directs the IDF to go into Gazain order to defeat Hamas this may only intensify the dangers facing Israel. This seems paradoxical so let us explore the issues.

 

Olmert represents that section of the Israeli ruling class in Kadima and Labour, with connections to the “Peace Movement” and to the anti Israelantisemites in the Media and Academia. He is convinced along with Livni and Barak that if the areas of Judea and Samariaare made Judenfrei and if a Palestine state is erected there then the troubles of the Jews are over.

HOW CAN JEWS SAVE THE DREAM OF THEIR LIVES?

How can Jews save Israel, the dream of their lives, the dream of 2000 years of waiting during a cruel exile?

In a recent article 4international calls for the immediate removal of the Olmert Kadima Government from power. That is now happening and an election is mooted for November. That is still not satisfactory for a number of reasons. The first is time. Can Israel wait until November to have an election. That means waiting through:

 

June, July August September and October.

 

Which is at least 5 full months. The speed of events is such that anything can happen inside those 5 months. Time is a factor that Jews do not control.

STOPPING GAZA ROCKETS IS AN ISSUE OF LEADERSHIP (1)

4international is planning to cover the issue of Gaza. As we showed two days ago Jews in this June month of 2008 are having to endure rockets being fired upon them continually by Fascist and Antisemitic Arabs from the area of Gaza.

To me as an Irish person this situation is simply not acceptable. The Jews have been persecuted for 2000 years, then the Holocaust, now this is taking place.

I find that the discussion on the many Jewish blogs is simply totally inadequate to meet this situation. So treat this as the first posting on this subject.

Somebody has said that Haaretz is really a PLO paper written in Hebrew. They are right. Yet the following article has the merit of honesty. At least this person raises issues and he seems to do so without much over deliberation. That is useful. We begin at the point where the writer muses that as far as the traitor Olmert is concerned defeating Hamas in Gaza would open the door to a Palestine state led by Abbas, who is equally antisemitic:

…While putting out the conflagration in the south could perhaps bring relief to Sderot and its environs, it would bring down calamity, pain and tears on tens of thousands of Jews in Judea and Samaria. It is not only the right that finds itself trapped. The left feels, and rightly so, that going back into Gaza would stamp an official seal of failure on the disengagement. And it is clear to them that every additional day of firing in the south and avoidance of a large-scale military operation sharpens this failure, as does the recognition that a similar flight from Judea and Samaria will cause the firing to reach Kfar Sava, Hadera and Afula as well.

The political leaders on the right and on the left do not tend to make the public a partner to this duality, nor to the reasonable possibility that a short-term stay in Gaza would be pointless and followed by return to the prior situation.

The right must take care not to fall automatically into the trap of patriotism and must not “stand at attention” if the Israel Defense Forces enters the Strip. The right must make it clear that a short-term stay in Gaza would add insult to injury, and that another hasty withdrawal not only would not help us to regain our deterrent power but would smash it. The situation in the south is complicated, but there is no point in making it more complicated for a mere short-term gain that would precede another painful fall. It is necessary to rebuild permanent Israeli security control in Gaza both in the field and via intelligence, and also to consider once again setting up settlements in the northern Gaza Strip along our southern border. It is from the ruins of these settlements that the Grads and the Qassams are being fired in the direction of Ashkelon.

The left has to be reminded of the year 1994 – a black hole in their memories: Israel left Gaza. That event took place 11 years before the disengagement. The left contends that mortars and Qassams were fired even before the disengagement, but they do not mention that the firing started only after 1994 – first at Gush Katif, and then at Sderot and after the disengagement, at Ashkelon.

They fire at us from Gaza because we are not there. No one fires at Kfar Sava, which is 700 meters from Qalqilyah, or at the Jerusalem neighborhood of Gilo, which is 500 meters from Bethlehem, because the IDF comes and goes whenever it wants, and thus has corrected the mistake of withdrawing from there during the Oslo Accord years. In Gaza, it is several times harder to correct the mistake. The governments of Ariel Sharon and Ehud Olmert waited a long time – an excessive number of years – during which they allowed Hamas to gain strength and to turn into an army. A renewed occupation would be costly but the longer we wait, the higher the price will be.
