This issue is about Jerusalem and the Jews
Does this city belong to the Jews, is it the centre of the Homeland of the Jews over a history going back at least 3000 years, which is a rather long time, OR IS IT NOT?
Let us all have this question out in the open, known by al, discussed by all:
Once again who are these people called the “Palestinians”, where did this name “Palestine” come from. Before 1948 if you said that you were a “Palestinian” then you would VERY DEFINITIVELY have been taken for a Jewish man or woman, and you would be taken for a Jew that is inside Palestine and in the whole wide world.
That is a fact.
It is also a fact that Arabs have never ever looked to Jerusalem as a central point in their culture. Never!
NOW CONSIDER THIS EXCHANGE YESTERDAY BETWEEN THE SPOKESMAN FOR THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT AND ISRAEL
The statement issued from the Prime Minister’s Office emphasized that
- “Jerusalem isn’t a settlement” and that it doesn’t “see any connection between the peace process and the building and planning policy in Jerusalem.” “Jerusalem isn’t a settlement – Jerusalem is the capital of Israel,” “Israel has never put any sort of limits on construction in Jerusalem, where some 800,000 people reside, and didn’t do so during the 10-month settlement freeze in the West Bank either.”
Crowley (This is US State Department Spokesman PJ Crowley) responded
- “There clearly is a link in the sense that it is incumbent on both parties, as we’ve insisted all along, that they are responsible for creating conditions for a successful negotiation,” “To suggest that this kind of announcement would not have an impact on the Palestinian side I think is incorrect.”
Put another way, Israel says Jerusalem is not on the table and Obama begs to differ.
