Madam President, I am extremely angry. I am furious. Frankly, my party is furious. Furious that once again there have been innocent victims of Islam. Jews, critics of Islam, innocent people.

And also very angry because there are the same politically correct responses. The denial that Islam is the cause. The failure to make the Netherlands safer.

And, madam president, I wonder how many more debates will be needed, how many more attacks there will have to be, how many more innocent people will have to die before the penny drops. Before the cabinet and the majority of this Chamber wake up. It’s enough to drive you mad.

I don’t understand it at all, and I am justifiably extremely angry about it. Not just because I am also on the Al-Qaeda hit list, but because this concerns the safety of the Netherlands. The safety of the Dutch.

What is needed, madam president, and what is currently missing is a good analysis of the cause and the right solution for all this terror. The cause, madam president, is of course Islam. Islam that declared war against us a long time ago. The Islamization of the Free West. Of the Netherlands. Of Europe.

Of course there are peaceful Muslims. But there is no such thing as peaceful Islam. And of course not all Muslims are terrorists. And anyone who still dares to deny that there is a link between the terror and Islam is crazy.

Madam President, Islamization is a life-threatening danger. For decades, mass immigration has been bringing hundreds of thousands of people from an alien culture to Europe. To our country. Why do we import all this misery? Madam President, everywhere, wherever it comes, Islam brings us hate and violence. In every country where Islam is strong it is at the cost of freedom. Freedom of speech, of journalists, minorities, everyone.

Madam president, and that’s without mentioning the terror organizations such as the Islamic State, Al Qaeda, Al Nusra, to name just a few.

Islam, madam president, simply does not belong in the Netherlands. It is a danger to the Netherlands. We must de-Islamize.

Madam President, apart from this analysis, what is particularly shocking is the total inanity of the terror measures. I find it inconceivable that after all these years of debate, the Cabinet proposes measures that will cause more problems in the Netherlands rather than fewer. How is it possible — I can’t explain it to anyone in our country — that Jihadis who want to go to Syria to do the most horrific things there, are stopped? It’s unbelievable. Let them go! All of them! We should be glad to see the back of them.

We don’t do that, the Cabinet doesn’t do that. They don’t even put the people they stop in prison, leaving ticking time bombs, Islamic terrorists, to roam free in the Netherlands. That should not be possible!

Let the people leave, madam president, but never let them come back. Take away their passports, revoke the Schengen Treaty and reinstate border controls. That legislative proposals are now being made that we should have seen ten years ago. Ten years ago. That is what the Netherlands deserved and that is what the analysis justifies.

And I completely fail to understand why the Cabinet lets the Jihadists come back. How stupid can you be?

Of the people that have returned, I believe that three have been imprisoned and the rest have been left free to walk around. It’s enough to drive you mad. Madam President, from all other Schengen countries — that’s 25 not counting the Netherlands — people can also simply come to the Netherlands. Thousands of terrorists. According to Europol, 5,000 can simply come to the Netherlands.

What in heaven’s name are you doing? I’m not speaking in Chinese, am I? Surely we don’t want all those people to come to the Netherlands?

Madam President, what I also don’t understand is that the army is deployed to Mali, is deployed to Afghanistan, while it should of course be protecting vital points in the Netherlands such as railway stations, airports, shopping malls and streets. Yesterday, the front page of a national newspaper had a report that Amsterdam is a target. What are the military doing in Mali? Let them protect this country.

Madam President, these are big words but I do mean them. Of course the Cabinet is not responsible for every attack. But if someone who could have been stopped when coming back to the Netherlands. Or if someone that the Cabinet prevented from going to Syria without putting them in prison. Or if someone comes to the Netherlands from another Schengen country and carries out an attack, this Cabinet has blood on its hands. And that is a terrible thing to have to say.

And, Prime Minister, never say that you were not warned. In the last ten years I have told you and your predecessors a thousand times. You will never be able to get away with the words “wir haben es nicht gewusst”. You did know. You have known it for years.

So make the right analysis, make the Netherlands safer. Do not drive myself and the Netherlands to despair. Put an end to the incompetence.

This, madam president, after all these years, is no longer party politics. It concerns the safety of our country. The safety of our citizens. And the Cabinet lets it happen.

Madam president, fortunately, the tide in Europe and in the Netherlands is turning. More and more people in Europe are fed up with all the people who look the other way. In Germany, 40,000 people took to the streets the other night to demonstrate against Islamization. Parties such as the PVV are growing throughout the whole of Europe.

People have had enough. Enough of Islamization. Enough of members of the political elite who look the other way.

And I have been telling the Prime Minister, even though he will not listen to me. You cannot put the genie back in the bottle. They are the people, not you. They will turn the tide, madam president, and turn it must.

Because enough is enough.

In an article in The Daily Caller blog,  Jamie Weinstein exposes the Hamas Charter. He writes:

“Hamas was founded in December 1987. In August 1988, it issued a covenant outlining its mission. The covenant has never been renounced by Hamas, even though some try to claim it is now merely a historical artifact.

“Here are nine key takeaways concentrating on Hamas, taken straight from its charter.”

1.) Hamas isn’t looking to negotiate a peace deal with Israel. It wants to destroy Israel. Quoting Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan al-Banna, the charter reads: 

“Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.”

2.) Actually, Hamas’ charter goes beyond destroying Israel. It longs for Jewish genocide: 

“The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him salvation, has said: ‘The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.’”

3.) Hamas makes it clear in its charter that it doesn’t believe in peace conferences. As its charter states: 

“Initiatives, and so-called peaceful solutions and international conferences, are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement.”

4.) Unsurprisingly for an organization that supports Jewish genocide, Hamas’ charter is explicitly anti-Semitic. For instance, Hamas’ charter claims Jews – not just Israelis – are responsible for all wars: 

“There is no war going on anywhere, without having their finger in it.”

5.) And all revolutions: 

“They were behind the French Revolution, the Communist revolution and most of the revolutions we heard and hear about, here and there. 6.) And they also control media: 

“For a long time, the enemies have been planning, skillfully and with precision, for the achievement of what they have attained. 7.) According to its charter, Hamas favors violent jihad:

8.) Hamas shares the Muslim Brotherhood’s enthusiasm for “death for the sake of Allah:”

“Allah is its target, the Prophet is its model, the Koran its constitution: Jihad is its path and death for the sake of Allah is the loftiest of its wishes.”

9.) Hamas accuses Israel of being like Nazis in its charter. For instance, there’s this: 

“The society that confronts a vicious enemy which acts in a way similar to Nazism, making no differentiation between man and woman, between children and old people – such a society is entitled to this Islamic spirit.”

Unfortunately a previous Israeli government allowed Hamas to gain strength in the territories, seeing it as a useful counter to Fatah. This was yet another mistake, which has come back to haunt the Jewish state.

It may be too late. The damage may be too severe but, better late than never, I believe it is incumbent upon a more nuanced and hopefully more effective Israeli public relations campaign to be launched quoting again and again the horrific clauses in the genocidal Hamas charter along with the poisonous words spewing from the PA’s media and from Abbas himself.

Show the vile Hamas Charter and quote the evil words of Abbas to all who hector and pressure Israel.
These should be offered relentlessly to all international leaders and media outlets so that all will see the absurdity and utter moral bankruptcy of negotiating with such a genocidal Palestinian partner; one which includes Hamas as part and parcel of the so-called Palestinian Authority whose leader, Mahmoud Abbas, utterly rejects recognizing Israel as the state of the Jews and demands that all ‘Palestinian territory’ be judenrein (free of Jews).

Who would still demand that Israel negotiate with such an inhuman entity? Outrageously, the Obama Administration, the EU, the UN, and so many misguided liberal Jews, like the notorious J-Street, still demand that Israel essentially commit national suicide.

Why, pray tell me, must we always witness Israeli leaders, year after year, tremulously refraining from forcefully rejecting the fraudulent charge of Israel being in occupation of ‘Palestinian’ land; a monumental lie that oozes from the very depths of Jew hatred, flies in the face of biblical and post-biblical Jewish history, and makes the very angels in heaven weep.

And why, oh why, must we have to squirm in embarrassment as an Israeli Prime Minister is forced by the present hostile incumbent in the White House to apologize to the Turkish Islamist thug, Recip Tayip Erdogan.

So show the vile Hamas Charter and quote the evil words of Abbas to all who hector and pressure Israel. If they do not come to their senses and recant, they would at least be seen as the immoral enemies of Israel; the Jewish state reconstituted now in its biblical and ancestral homeland.

It seems that the famous aphorism by Abba Eban that, “the Arabs never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity,” has become a recurring problem for the Jewish state.

So stop apologizing when it is the Arabs, those who call themselves Palestinians, who have most to apologize for.

The Lisbon Jewish community is demanding extra protection and quick police action to find the perpetrators of what they said was a hate crime, when unknown vandals drew the world “ebola” on a memorial to martyred victims of a massacre in Portugal in 1506.

Besides increased patrols, community leaders called for the placing of security cameras at the memorial, considered one of the most prominent Jewish presences in the country.

The 1506 massacre constituted the end of Jewish life in Portugal for hundreds of years – until, in fact, 2013, when a new synagogue and Jewish community center was opened in Lisbon. The center was build at the behest of the Shavei Israel organization to reach out to the several thousand Jews who live in Portugal – as well as to the hundreds of thousands who have traditions of Jewish roots in their families, with many carrying on Jewish customs such as lighting Friday night candles, customs their ancestors hundreds of years ago to remind their descendants that although they were forcible converted to Christianity, they were still Jews.

The Jews of Portugal, like their Spanish neighbors, were expelled in 1492, but like in Spain, many Jews remained behind, “converting” to Christianity for public consumption while remaining Jews in their homes. These people, known as conversos, were the bane of the Church, which sought to stamp them out – setting up the Inquisition, which killed many former Jews accused of “backsliding” to Judaism. Church spies were everywhere, and Jews who were found carrying out Jewish customs – or not appearing Christian “enough” – were mercilessly executed by Church officials.

In Portugal, the Inquisition also thoroughly tracked down Jews, and in the Spring of 1506, Church spies discovered a group that had purchased what appeared to be supplies for Passover. The Jews were arrested, but released several days later – to the hands of a priest-incited mob, which called for their blood. Mobs marched through the streets, killing and murdering conversos, as well as Christians suspected of supporting them. At the end of the three day massacre some 4,000 conversos and “Old Christians” had been murdered, and there were no Jews – loyal or “backsliding” – to be found in the city, a situation that prevailed for hundreds of years, until the years before World War II, when European Jews, seeking to escape from the grip of the Nazis, tentatively took up residence in Portugal.

The Jewish community commemorated the massacre in 2006, on the its 500th anniversary. The memorial was unveiled at that ceremony.

They killed four thousand of them, robbed them..they maimed them, dashed children against walls and disembered them, defiled women and girls and then killed them. They threw many pregnant women out of windows onto spearpoints awaiting them below…”

The Massacre, from EJP:

“Historians estimate that between 2,000 and 4,000 “New Christians” – Jews who were forced by the state to convert in 1496 – were thrown into pyres set up across the city centre before authorities regained control of the Portuguese capital.

The violence erupted on April 19, 1506 after a man believed to be a “New Christian” suggested that a light emanating from a crucifix at a chapel was likely caused by natural causes instead of divine intervention as thought by many Christians.

He was dragged from the church by a group of women who beat him to death, according to several historical accounts.
A priest then made a fiery sermon against “New Christians” while two other priests, crucifix in hand, marched through the cobblestoned streets of Lisbon inciting people to kill them.

In the ensuing violence even Catholics who were thought to look like “New Chistians” were killed or saw their homes destroyed.

King Manuel, who was outside of the Portuguese capital when the massacre began, ordered the ringleaders rounded up and hung while those convicted of murder or pillage received various corporal punishments.
When the king forced the Jews to become Christians, many of them decided to leave the country, including a number of highly educated people, such as the astronomer and mathematician Abraão Zacuto, who went to Turkey, and Baruch Espinosa’s (Spinoza) parents, who went to Holland.

The massacre highlights the growing unease in Portugal at the time with “New Christians.” Spain had launched its Inquisition in 1492 which aimed to expel or forcibly convert to Christianity all Jews and other non-believers, prompting thousands to cross the border into Portugal where they sought shelter.

But nearly five decades later Portugal launched its own Inquisition which led hundreds of Jews to be tortured or burned at the stake in the 16th and early 17th century after being accused by church tribunals of being heretics.

The forced conversion of Jews together with the Inquisition drastically reduced the number of Jews in Portugal, leading the memory of the “Lisbon massacre” as it has come to be known to fade.
“Since Jewish culture practically disappeared from the country, there was no one to evoke the memory of the massacre,” author Richard Zimmler, who has written novels set against the purge of Jews in Portugal, said in an interview published in daily newspaper Público last Sunday. Some historians estimate that 20 percent of Portugal’s population, or 200,000 people at that time, before the start of the Inquisition were Jewish.

Many were successful traders and scientists whose international visibility made the term “Portuguese” be synonymous with “Jew” at the time.

Today there are just some 3,000 Jews in Portugal, a nation of just over 10 million people. Most are concentrated in Lisbon and the majority came to the country after Portugal’s Inquisition was officially abolished in 1821.”

This is an historic article by Martin Sherman because it follows and is an answer to the pivotal decision of the Swedish and British Governments to recognize a “Palestine” state. Sherman makes it clear in this article, quoting Palestinian Arabs themselves, that such a state is untenable and is only for the purpose of tearing down, likely through terror of one sort or another, the Jewish state. At the end of the article Sherman refers briefly to the fault of the Israeli State in not refuting these claims and moves towards a “Palestine” Arab state. It seems from this article that if they had decided to so refute then there was more than enough ammunition to convince the world that “Palestinianism” is Jihadism.

In reading around the Swedish/Holocaust issue and in the article I wrote yesterday I left out a significant fact. As I stated the Swedish state and government as opposed to the Swedish people were up to their eye balls in collaborating with the Nazis. What struck me and what I left out of the article was the way that Shimon Peres has brown nosed these Swedish elites for so many years. Peres is old now but he has probably spent from say 1950 to 2010 doing this kind of fiendish activity. You see the Swedes were in on murdering 6 million of his people the Jews in the years of the Holocaust. Then Peres spent the next 60 years telling the Swedish Government “Forget about all of that. That is past. Let us be friends as if nothing has happened”

 

There is the strange whiff of treason here in the thought which must have been in the head of Peres “Really we understand your (Swedish) collaboration with the Nazis because anyway we the Jews had it coming”

The second thing is how Jewish big wigs in America attacked without mercy the Serbs and supported the NATO bombing of the Serbs, as Clinton reached a deal with Izetbegovic (for sure and inhis own writing an extreme Jihadist) to carry out a massacre for false flag purposes. That was Srebrenica.

 

In all of that activity in Bosnia and Kosovo a man called Michael Ignatieff was central in mobilizing support for the Clinton war on the Serbs on the false thesis that the Serbs were carrying out a Holocaust on the Muslims. But it was Yugoslavia that was being invaded by Jihadists and the first beheadings that I saw in this modern era were done on young Serb small farming lads in the woods of Bosnia – supported and more (we can say actually instigated) by Clinton and a foretaste of the Islamic State.

 

I said “used” the Holocaust. Sadly there were Jews connected to the Holocaust Museum too ready to work with Ignatieff in this evil propaganda against the Serbs.

 

Ignatieff is an academic today but he certainly finds the time to set up Assad in the same way that he did to the Serbs. In January of this year he was splashing across the Media photos that  a “dissenter” had taken out of Syria. These photos were something along the lines of the Srebrenica Hoax propaganda of the Media.

 

The reason that I mention this today is that last night I heard it reported that Ignatieff had joined forces with an American Holocaust Museum and that this was on the wires yesterday. I have googled under “back news ignatieff holocaust assad” but can find nothing this morning.

 

This does not deflect from the truth which is that Ignatieff and others used widely the Holocaust against the Serbs, and used the Holocaust to carry out the NATO Clinton war against the Serbs. This has another lesson in relation to the Sherman article I mention above which is that the ruling classes in today’s world will stop at nothing to carry out their aims.

 

As regards the mention that Martin Sherman makes in his article on the British vote in Parliament to recognize a “Palestine” state I plan to write an article on this to complement the article I did yesterday on the Swedish recognition of “Palestine”. As I read around this one thing struck me and sticks so strongly in my mind. Just about a year after the Holocaust was ended by the defeat of the Allies (1945) the British Government was hanging Jews in Palestine! I prisons that the British had set up in Palestine to hang Jews ONE year after the Holocaust. Please do not tell us that this recent British Parliament vote is without context or meaning.

 

What to do? As always I come back to the governments of Israel and the present one is led by Netanyahu. The leader gives form to his government. We are now being backed up by many who then were silent. Netanyahu had to use the situation to totally destroy Hamas. That meant the arrest of the Hamas leadership. The thesis put about by Netanyahu and his people (literally cronies) that Hamas was needed to keep the Arabs fighting with each other was treasonous.

 

But Netanyahu still remains in power. That is the weakness of I may be so bold of the Martin Sherman article.

 

It centres all of the time on the question “What to DO next?”

 

I had experience of the site called Israpundit.org. Those people there would talk and talk and talk. Is that a feature of Jewish politics? If it is it is decidedly treasonous.

Into the fray: The two-stage ‘solution’

 

The entire issue of Palestinian statehood, and the Palestinian narrative on which it is based, are nothing but a giant hoax so transparent it is inconceivable that anyone even feigns credence to it.

 

 

‘With the two-state solution… Israel will collapse, because if they get out of Jerusalem, what will become of all the talk about the Promised Land and the chosen people? What will become of all the sacrifices they made – just to be told to leave? They consider Jerusalem to have a spiritual status. The Jews consider Judea and Samaria to be their historic dream. If the Jews leave those places, the Zionist idea will begin to collapse…. Then we will move forward.”

Two recent events have once again propelled Palestinian statehood into the forefront of media spotlight, after several months of it being overshadowed by other events like developments in Ukraine, the war in Gaza and the televised barbarity of Islamic State.

 

One was the statement by Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (subsequently somewhat equivocally revised) that his country would recognize a Palestinian state. The other was the British Parliament’s (nonbinding, but in the eyes of some, historic) vote on recognition of statehood for the Palestinians.

 

In light of these incidents, I was invited to appear on i24news news and participate in a discussion with a Palestinian interlocutor on the prospects for, and the prudence of, establishing a Palestinian state.

 

Much of what follows reflects the things I said during that 20-minute debate – and the things I didn’t, but would have, had time permitted.

 

 Patently incompatible

 

I began by asserting that it should be obvious to anyone with an iota of intellectual integrity that establishing a Palestinian state, in any conceivable configuration, is incompatible with the security and survival of Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people.

 

It is incomprehensible for anyone who holds this view of Israel’s role in the world not to strive to have the issue of Palestinian statehood removed from the international discourse.

 

After all, the recent round of fighting in Gaza should have brought home dramatically the perils involved in a Palestinian entity with a short 50-km. border, abutting the sparsely populated, mainly rural South.

 

Thus, little imagination is required to grasp the horrific implications for Israel entailed in the establishment of yet another Palestinian entity in Judea-Samaria (a.k.a.

 

“West Bank”), but now with a 500-km. border, abutting the heavily populated urban center of the country – with Ben-Gurion, Israel’s only international airport, easily within mortar range.

 

Just what the significance of this latter element is should be vividly underscored by two disturbing features of the last clash in Gaza. First, Ben-Gurion was closed down by the landing of a single stray rocket in its approximate vicinity. Second, the Iron Dome defense system, highly effective against Kassam and Grad rockets, was markedly less so against mortar fire.

 

Disastrously disruptive

 

Little imagination is required to envision the disastrously disruptive consequences for Israel’s international air contacts were its only gateway subjected to incessant – even intermittent – short-range mortar barrages from nearby locations, far more accurate than any occasional rocket launched from the remote Gaza Strip.

 

Much the same could be said for the country’s land transport system – with the Trans-Israel Highway (Route 6) running for much of its length immediately adjacent to, and well within rifle range from, any prospective frontier.

 

Moreover, the impact of this chilling prospect is magnified by the fact that, unlike Gaza, much of the territory earmarked for a future Palestinian state comprises the limestone highlands which dominate Israel’s urbanized Coastal Plain. In it lie virtually all of Israel’s major airfields (civilian and military); main seaports and naval bases; vital infrastructure installations/systems (power generation and transmission, water, communications and transportation systems); centers of civilian government and military command; and 80 percent of the civilian population and commercial activity.

 

All of these could be disrupted at will, at minimal cost, by any hostile forces, whether regular or renegade, deployed on the western slopes of these highlands.

 

Clearly, recurrent disruption of their functioning – or even a tangible threat thereof – would make the maintenance of socioeconomic routine untenable.

 

‘Not since Dr. Goebbels…’

 

Amplifying the dire danger that a Palestinian state would pose for Israel is the undisguised intention of the Palestinians, of all political persuasions, to exploit such a state as a platform for further assaults on the Jewish state, until “Palestine,” from the River to the Sea, is totally free of the “Zionist invader.”

 

To convey the manifest mendacity of the Palestinian position, I drew on a quotation from an opinion column titled “Palestinian Lies” that appeared in Haaretz, towards the end of the near-hegemonic era of the Labor Party, then headed by Yitzhak Rabin: “Of all Palestinian lies there is no lie greater or more crushing than that which calls for the establishment of a separate Palestinian state in the West Bank… Not since the time of Dr. Goebbels has there been a case in which continual repetition of a lie has borne such great fruits…”

 

There was a tangible sense of surprise in the i24news studio when I revealed that these were not the words of some rightwing religious radical, but of Prof. Amnon Rubinstein, who was elected to the Knesset soon after penning the cited article, served for a decade as an MK for the far-left dovish Meretz party, and held the post of minister of education.

 

 One narrative; five myths

 

I took the firm position that Rubinstein’s assessment of the veracity of Palestinian claims is essentially accurate, and that the Palestinian narrative is nothing but a giant hoax, a gigantic political sleight-of-hand, comprising five transparent myths: Myth of Palestinian Peoplehood; Myth of Palestinian Nationhood; Myth of Palestinian Homeland; Myth of Palestinian Statelessness; and Myth of Palestinian Refugees.

 

I have discussed these myths in some detail in previous columns. All are easily refutable, indeed freely admitted, falsehoods, intended to blur the fact that the two-state prescription is a two-stage blueprint for the annihilation of Israel.

 

When my Palestinian interlocutor in the debate charged that my position merely reflected my own, uninformed prejudices, I replied that quite the opposite is true.

 

My contentions can all be conclusively corroborated by deeds, declarations and documents of the Palestinians.

 

I began by citing former Arab MK Azmi Bishara, described as a “Palestinian intellectual,” and forced to flee Israel to avoid investigation of alleged acts of treason during the 2006 Second Lebanon War.

 

One could hardly find a more resounding renunciation of Palestinian nationhood than that provided by Bishara when, in a 1994 Channel 2 program, he astounded his Israeli co-participants with the following assertion: “I don’t think there is a Palestinian nation at all. I think there is an Arab nation. I always thought so… I think it’s a colonialist invention – a Palestinian nation. When were there any Palestinians? Where did it come from?” Indeed, when? Indeed, where? A swift tour d’horizon of decades of what prominent Palestinians have done, said and written will convincingly confirm the flagrant falsehood of the Palestinian narrative and the sinister subterfuge on which their demand for statehood is founded.

 

Five myths (cont.)

 

For example, senior Palestinian leaders have admitted – openly, consistently and continually – that Palestinians are not, and never have been, a distinct people identifiably different from others in the Arab world (Myth of Peoplehood).

 

But not only do the Palestinians admit that they are not a discrete socio-ethnic entity – i.e. a people – they concede that as a political unit – i.e. a nation – their demands and aspirations are neither genuine nor permanent (Myth of Nationhood) and are merely a contrivance to undermine Jewish nationhood.

 

The Palestinians explicitly eschewed any sovereign claims to the “West Bank” (and Gaza), only incorporating them in their territorial claims after these territories came under Israeli control (Myth of Homeland), clearly vindicating the view that the concept of Palestinian “national identity” is a fabricated construct, conjured up to further the Arab quest to repudiate Jewish national claims.

 

Moreover, the Palestinians are “stateless” not as a result of callous Israeli malfeasance, but of deliberate Arab malevolence (Myth of Statelessness). It is the Arabs who either stripped them of citizenship they already had (as King Hussein did in 1988), or precluded them from acquiring citizenship they desire (as per the Arab League directive).

 

Finally, regarding the issue of refugees, it is becoming increasingly difficult to conceal the fact that the status of Palestinian “refugees” is totally different from that of all other refugees on the face of the globe (Myth of Refugees). Were the same criterion that applies to all other cases, applied to the Palestinians, the number of refugees would plunge dramatically – from around 5 million claimed today, to fewer than 50,000.

 

The malice behind the myths

 

Arguably the most dramatically revealing and comprehensive declaration as to the malicious mendacity that underlies Palestinian claims to statehood was provided by the late Zuheir Mohsin, a senior member of the PLO Executive, in an interview to the Dutch newspaper Trouw.

 

It is a declaration frequently cited by opponents of Palestinian statehood, yet seldom repudiated by its proponents. I, too, have referred to several portions of it in the past, but in the present international context, I feel there is great value in presenting it in its entirety.

 

In the interview headlined: “We are only Palestinians for political reasons,” Moshin stated frankly: “There are no differences between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese.

 

We are all part of ONE people, the Arab nation… We are ONE people. Only for political reasons we carefully underwrite our Palestinian identity. Because it is of national interest for the Arabs to advocate the existence of Palestinians to balance Zionism. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons. The establishment of a Palestinian state is a new tool to continue the fight against Israel and for Arab unity.

 

“A separate Palestinian entity needs to fight for the national interest in the then remaining occupied territories. The Jordanian government cannot speak for Palestinians in Israel, Lebanon or Syria. Jordan is a state with specific borders. It cannot lay claim on – for instance – Haifa or Jaffa, while I AM entitled to Haifa, Jaffa, Jerusalem and Beersheba… The Palestinian state would be entitled to represent all Palestinians in the Arab world and elsewhere. Once we have accomplished all of our rights in all of Palestine, we must not postpone the unification of Jordan and Palestine for one second,” Moshin said.

 

 Two stages, not two states

 

It is hard to conceive of a more brazen confession that the true goal of the twostate principle is the two-stage destruction of Israel.

 

It would be a perilous error to dismiss this as unrepresentative of mainstream Palestinian opinion today.

 

Nowhere is it more clearly articulated than in the Palestinian National Covenant, still posted on the official “State of Palestine” site hosted by the UN. It proclaims: “Article 19: The partition of Palestine in 1947, and the establishment of the state of Israel are entirely illegal, regardless of the passage of time…

 

“Article 20: The Balfour Declaration, the Palestine Mandate, and everything that has been based on them, are deemed null and void. Claims of historical or religious ties of Jews with Palestine are incompatible with the facts of history…”

 

Article 12 lays out the temporary nature of Palestinian identity in the staged strategy for the “liberation” of “Palestine” defined as “an indivisible territorial unit, with the boundaries it had during the British Mandate.”

 

It states: “The Palestinian people are a part of the Arab Nation… [and] believe in Arab unity… however, they must, at the present stage of their struggle, safeguard their Palestinian identity…”

 

The present stage? See what I mean by two stages? Stage one: Create Palestine.

 

Stage two: Eliminate Israel – precisely as per Abbas Zaki in the introductory excerpt.

 

 The real tragedy

 

All of this is – or at least, should be –painfully obvious. Yet, Israel has failed – even refused – to make this case to the world.

 

This is inexcusable, incomprehensible and unacceptable.

 

For as Ronald Lauder, president of the World Jewish Congress, correctly underscored in bemoaning the Swedish initiative, (Jerusalem Post, October 14), doing so is a “strategic imperative” for the nation.

 

It is one that Israel has failed dismally to address. That is, perhaps, the greatest tragedy of all.

A “Palestinian” state would not make for a peaceful resolution of the jihad against Israel. It would simply become a new jihad base for newly virulent attacks against a weakened Israel. Do the British MPs know this? Probably not. Would they care if they did? Probably not.

 

How many times does this have to be done before the political elites get a clue? Or are they so thoroughly bought and paid for that that will never happen? The Israeli withdrawal from Gaza in 2005 was supposed to bring peace. Instead, I and just a few others warned that Gaza would just become a new jihad terror base. And we were right. So also, a “Palestinian” state would become yet another jihad terror base for attacks against a reduced, truncated Israel. The various “Palestinian” factions have never recognized Israel or retreated even one step from their repeated vows to destroy it utterly. Do these clowns even know what “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” means?

 

As long as they’re voting for jihad, how long will it be before the UK Parliament goes whole hog, as it were, and votes 274-12 to adopt Sharia as the sole law of the land? It would “promote community cohesion,” eh wot?

Britain’s House of Commons voted in favor of recognizing a Palestinian state late Monday in a move that will not alter the government’s stance on the issue, but that carries symbolic value for Palestinians in their pursuit of statehood.

 

Lawmakers in Britain’s lower house of parliament voted by 274 to 12 to pass a non-binding motion stating: “That this House believes that the Government should recognize the state of Palestine alongside the state of Israel as a contribution to securing a negotiated two-state solution.”

 

Britain does not classify “Palestine” as a state, but says it could do so at any time if it believed it would help peace efforts between the Palestinians and Israel. Government ministers were told to abstain and the non-binding vote will not force Britain to recognise a Palestinian state.

 

Nearly 50 MPs were in the chamber to hear pro-Palestinian Labor Backbencher Grahame Morris open the four hour debate which he said was a chance for the UK to atone for its historic mistakes – a clear reference to the Balfour Declaration.

 

He and party colleagues knew in advance that with the unprecedented backing of the Labor party – as traditionally the political parties do not tell MPs which way to vote in what is supposed to be backbench business – his motion calling for the British Government to recognise a Palestinian State would be passed, probably by a substantial majority.

 

Several senior pro-Israel Labor party MPs including a number of members of the shadow cabinet – angered by the decision of party leader Ed Miliband and Shadow Foreign Secretary Douglas Alexander to order Labor backbenchers to back the Morris motion by issuing a ‘three line whip’ – were understood to be ready to defy the instruction and abstain on the vote which was due at 10 p.m. UK time, midnight in Israel.

 

Former Labor Foreign Secretary Jack Straw successfully moved a manuscript amendment which stated that recognition of a state should be agreed as a ‘contribution’ towards a two state solution. He said if Israel had its way and recognition should be delayed until an agreement is reached between Israel and the Palestinians, that – in effect – would amount to giving Israel a veto over Palestinian statehood.

 

The Palestinians, he reminded the Commons had no say or veto over the establishment of the State of Israel.

 

A counter argument was put forward by another former Foreign Secretary the Conservative Party’s Malcolm Rifkind who told MPs that it was not possible to recognize a state which has no boundaries, no army, nor a government. The Palestinians he said, currently have two administrations and simply did not qualify for ‘recognition’.

 

Also he noted wryly, Britain did not recognize the State of Israel until 1950 when its borders and government and been well established….

2. the initial promise by the League of Nations to the Jews in 1922 which was far bigger than present day Israel

“The Mandate system was instituted by the League of Nations in the early 20th century to administer non-self-governing territories. The mandatory power, appointed by an international body, was to consider the mandated territory a temporary trust and to see to the well-being and advancement of its population.

In July 1922, the League of Nations entrusted Great Britain with the Mandate for Palestine. Recognizing “the historical connection of the Jewish people with Palestine,” Great Britain was called upon to facilitate the establishment of a Jewish national home in Palestine-Eretz Israel (Land of Israel). Shortly afterwards, in September 1922, the League of Nations and Great Britain decided that the provisions for setting up a Jewish national home would not apply to the area east of the Jordan River, which constituted three-fourths of the territory included in the Mandate and which eventually became the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The British Mandate authorities granted the Jewish and Arab communities the right to run their internal affairs; thus the yishuv established the Elected Assembly and the National Council. The economy expanded, a Hebrew education network was organized and cultural life flourished.

The Mandatory government did not succeed in maintaining the letter and spirit of the Mandate. Under Arab pressure, it withdrew from its commitment, especially with respect to immigration and land acquisition. The White Papers of 1930 and 1939 restricted immigration and acquisition of land by Jews. Later, immigration was limited by the 1930 and 1939 White Papers, and land acquisition by Jews was severely restricted by the 1940 Land Transfer Regulations.

After the UN General Assembly adopted the resolution to partition Palestine on November 29, 1947, Britain announced the termination of its Mandate over Palestine, to take effect on May 15, 1948. On May 14, 1948, the State of Israel was proclaimed.

The false flag stuff really doesn’t add up. If Israel kept doing this, upped its rate a bit and seized 1000 acres every 3 months, it would take 1400 years, 380,000 dead Israelis and 12 million dead Palestinians to settle the West Bank. While I credit the Israelis with a longer view than, say, Fine Gael, I doubt any plans which are that elaborate.

I don’t doubt that their ultimate goal is the annexation of the larger chunk of the West Bank.

And it doesn’t matter what their reason the detail behind the, they have taken land which isn’t theirs.

I can see lots of articles, some of which are maliciously labelled land grab, but no detailed, high resolution mapping that clearly defines exactly what is proposed, and where. Or who it will directly affect, or whether there are existing owners, or whether the land is under agriculture, or…

Israel operates under rule of law and from the little I could glean this morning, this decision has been overseen by the judiciary.

It’s all very well coming out in protest, but what are you actually protesting? Or is it simply that the media have called it a land grab and this has automatically set up a knee jerk reaction to all those who hate Israel?

Murray Israel violated international law and need to be held to account, the old testament is not the law and the argument that commentators are anti Israeli is an old one now. I don’t hate Israel and I think most Irish people understand and sympathise with the plight of the Palestinian people because of our own history in fact most people Irish or otherwise would be horrified to see a grown man beat and murder a child never mind a well trained and equipped military bombarding their houses and killing them in their beds, that’s not war its an extermination. No army should target civilians.

If this really is our position, then we need to be clear that our craven relationship with the USA will not interfere with this position – letting USA war jets fly over Dublin is not a great way to do that.

I hope to hear our Government publicly denounce this latest land grab.

The land belongs to five Palestinian villages of Jaba, Sur’if, Wadi Fuk’in, Husan and Nahal’in according to Haaretz.

The proposal is to ‘create territorial continuity between the Green Line and the settlements of Beitar Ill it, K’far Etzi’on and Gvaot’.

I think when you appropriate 1000 acres belonging to someone else, then the law should act to protect those who are disenfranchised no matter who your international friends are. And this is on top of 245 acres appropriated from Palestine last April!

Murray, I find it interesting that you can have such faith in an article on that has no author attached to it, when other blogs on the site have authors attached. That’s usually a sign of a lack of faith in the author in what they are writing.

You complain about a lack of balanced reporting from Haaretz, yet one of the Experts at the JCPA

Nadav Shragai wrote for that paper for 27 years.

Six out of the ten of the Experts are ex IDF( most of them with high Ranks).

The rest have had roles high up in the Government.

Its looking like all the Experts are Jewish.

Now how can they possibly provide a balanced response.

In fact, its an IDF led propaganda tool. Look back at the blogs not one mention of the fact that Israel bombed UN schools. The blogs show only one side of the story. So I ask how can you think they provide a balanced view

John it does matter. It matters a huge deal as intent to do harm is a serious crime!

When an army is drawn into urban guerrilla warfare in a heavily densely populated area where the attackers hide amongst civilians in schools, mosques, UN shelters and homes….tragic and awful things happen.

I should add that every loss of Palestinian or Israeli innocent life is a tragedy.

But Hamas are the ones picking a fight and they see loss of life in a holy war as an act of service to God.

So they put women and children in the firing line.

It’s a dirty war tactic which needs to be exposed for what it is.

Yes its a dirty tactic, but even when the IDF were warned they were firing to close to UN shelters they kept firing. Both Hamas and IDF are guilty of using dirty tactics. Bear in mind that Israelis were so concerned that they took months to notice that one of their bomb shelters inside the zone being attacked by Hamas was turned into a Casino…

John, I don’t have a problem with its authorship because the information simply makes sense to me. There were 3 areas agreed at Oslo – the one being discussed happens to be in Area C.

With regard to the UN schools, presumably you have read why UN schools were targeted, when they were targeted. You’ve presumably seen footage from Italian, French and Indian news teams that show missiles being launched from civilian areas, in one instance immediately adjacent to a UN facility.

I entirely share your horror at the deaths and injuries and the homelessness that has resulted from this conflict. Having lived and worked in Israel over many years, Israelis do not live their lives hoping to destroy Palestinians or make their lives harder. At one time, before the 2nd intifada, there was so much interaction between Israelis and Palestinians. They worked together, shopped in each others businesses, constructed homes together and shared lives. After the 2nd intifada that stopped completely, except in places like Haifa which has a big mixed Jewish and Muslim/Christian Arab population.

Unless you live there and experience the intensity of life, both good and bad, you cannot begin to understand what drives the narrative in Israel and the Palestinian territories. The Palestinians have so much to gain if they could only try to see past 45 years of hostile programming. It might be possible with Fatah and the PA. It won’t happen with Hamas – they are ideologically unable to negotiate with Israel, so I really don’t know the way forward.

I have spoken to guys who went into Gaza for Cast Lead. They said it was like fighting with one hand tied behind your back. The IDF may not fire on civilians so when they come across a Hamas operative firing at them from behind a child or woman, they have to back away. I know this is not the narrative you’ve been told, but its true, nevertheless. I don’t doubt there are some rogue soldiers as in any army who will take the law into their own hands, but if they do and they are found out, Israeli military prisons are not good places to be.

WRT those Israelis who sat on a hill, watching the glow from explosions and cheering, when you have spent the past 12 years frequently having to dive into bomb shelters to avoid rockets and now mortar shells, the people across the border are viewed as very much the enemy and those people on the hill are glad to see that enemy getting a pasting. Its a normal human reaction, but does not mean that when some of the enemy come across the border in desperate need of medical attention, they don’t get that attention in Israeli hospitals.

Last November I shared a Tel Aviv hospital room with 2 other guys, one of whom was a Gazan (and his wife), who was getting medical aid for his terminal cancer. He had the same care and attention and food as we did. Hope you can acknowledge that.

Seems to me that a great deal of the hatred some Irish people feel for Israel stems from their identification with the Palestinians as suffering as did the Irish under the British. While there are some common causes, the two stories are really not the same. In fact, early Israelis had good reason to bitterly hate the English, but thats another story.

The late Croatian pro-Ustashe Nazi and Hitler-loving, Holocaust-denying antisemitic president, Franjo Tudjman, wrote in his 1988 Croatian version of Hitler’s Mein Kampf, entitled: “Wastelands of Historical Truth”(aka “Wastelands of Historical Reality”) the following:

“The establishment of Hitler’s New Order could be justified by the need to be rid of the Jews, as well as to correct the French-British sin of the (post WW1) Versailles setup” and… “Genocidal violence is a natural phenomenon in harmony with the societal and mythologically Divine nature. Genocide is not only permitted it is also recommended, even commanded by the Word of the Almighty, whenever it is useful for the survival or the restoration of the earthly kingdom of the chosen nation, or for the preservation and spreading of its one and only correct faith”.

The prestigious US-based publication “Defense & Foreign Affairs Strategic Policy” in its January 1993 edition, wrote the following:

Tudjman, at the first convention of the Croatian Democratic Union (Hrvatska Demokratska Zajednica: HDZ), on February 26, 1990, said, in the presence of more than 100 Ustashi war criminals who had escaped the law courts and fled to international havens after World War II: “The Independent State of Croatia [ie: the World War II Croatian Ustashe Nazi state] was not only a mere Quisling creation, but also an expression of the historical aspirations of the Croatian people for an independent state of their own and recognition of international factors–the Government of Hitler’s Germany in this case.”

 

Tudjman delivered a speech to the Croatian Sabor (parliament) on the occasion of the proclamation of the Republic of Croatia on December 22, 1990. In the Constitution he proposed, and which was adopted, the Serbs lost their nation status within Croatia, and were relegated to the status of a national minority. The official war against the Serbs had been resumed.

Even before Croatia became independent, the Croatian Minister of Internal Affairs, Martin Spegelj, advised his colleagues: “We are in the war with [ie: against] the Army [Yugoslav Army:JNA] Should anything happen, kill them all in the streets, in their homes, through hand grenades, fire pistols into their bellies, women, children …We will deal with [the Croatian Serb Krajina town of] Knin by butchering.”
