ISRAELI LEADERS ARE PARALYSED INTHE FACE OF ARAB AND WORLD ANTISEMITISM

Sharon expressed this paralysis. He knew that the removal of Saddam by Bush would usher in a period of Iran dominance in Iraq and the Middle East, knew this very well based on his experience of the area, he was no fool! But he could not say so in public even though he argued with the political imbecile Bush. That seems to me to express just how unable to lead the Jewish people are all of the Jewish elites today. This leadership issue is central and creates great dangers which will only get worse!

All my reading on this subject of Israel and the way the world is attacking Israel, demands the need for a strong propaganda-like response from Israel

 

That is not forthcoming and under the leadership of the present groups/parties/individuals/blogs will not be forthcoming any time soon, meaning never.

 

That is the problem, the central problem, that dwarfs all else and is connected to Israel taking effective action to defend itself, which also it finds itself impossible to do. The Israeli elites were prepared to look elsewhere for about 7 years as the people of Sderot were bombarded weekly with hamas and Islamic Jihad rockets. They could not and did not take any action to block this which amounted to a second class citizen ship in effect being placed on these people next to this aza border.

 

So we have two things happening in synchronicity: the message abroad from Israel and the inability to take action to determine its future. Both of these are held together in a vicelike grip that will not let go.

 

The development of the world crisis of the capitalist system, with money markets as we speak more and more on edge and seemingly more vulnerable, the exposure of the world and its people to new forms of barbarity by the likes of IS flashing across our screens, and the obvious vulnerability to this by Israel, while the world as Martin Sherman says so well, corners on Israel, thus forcing Israel more and more into a Samson situation.

 

These are not small issues and cannot be answered in a  facile way.

 

This places great demands on Israeli leadership.

 

Here is the kicker though. It is possible for Caroline Glick to be enraged at EU reps but at the same time not to deal with the overall crisis in a comprehensive manner. (I am all for being enraged but rage in itself, like prayer, is never a strategy)

 

I will give two examples that point to the new aspect to the situation faced by Jews, Israel and the world.

 

1. The methods of Netanyahu, ignoring then massive physical splurge on Gaza (Protective Edge) (Which episode in history has given no edge and which therefore was not protective) while at the same time tying the hands of the soldiers fighting in Gaza, have proved to be disastrously inadequate
2. Related to that the reality in Britain, which I have looked at especially based on written reports, which were available and have been available but have not been discussed in any significant manner, that the old methods of defending Israel abroad have collapsed. I am referring to the bankrupt “friends” of Israel concept. I have showed that the “friends” quickly became the “enemies” as they effectively voted (many by abstaining) for a Palestine Jihad state. Those two examples in our very recent past shows that there is needed an overall strategy for Israel, Jews and the rest of us, to fight this war and it simply is not there.

 

I think that is the starting point. The Antisemitic positions of European elites are just a symptom of this lack of strategy by the Israeli leaders. They are created because the Israeli leadership is vacuum territory.

 

It is impossible for Israel because there is no clear strategy inside of Israel on how it can defend itself and how the Jewish state can be brought forward in this situation. I need to return to that but the answer by Sherman to Bennett’s Saban tussle with Idyke is a starting point.

 

The leaders are paralysed because they do not know what to do and if they do not know what to do then they do not know what to say either

 

That may sound simplistic but it is true

Rivlin we know. Danino is head since a couple of years ago of ALL of the police in Israel. He is a top dog really! And the type of person elected to be top dog is a man who was behind the persecution of Liberman, the Russian Israeli politician and essentially patriot (despite many issues he is that)

 

Even this one paragraph throws up serious issue and offers a light into the reality of Israeli elitist betrayal of the Jewish Zionist cause

 

Meanwhile the various bloggers on sites such as Israpundit and on Sherman’s own Facebook page simply cannot get to terms with the central issue which is ESSENTIALLY totally about leadership and the absence of patriotic leadership which CAN lead.

 

Sherman himself who is principled does not engage in hero worship of anybody and in the paragraph previous to this alludes to my central point – that it is an overall crisis of leadership of Israel that is at stake. Read this first and carefully before I comment:

 

One senior public figure after another – not only on the Left of the political spectrum – have come out with declarations that have ranged from regrettably inappropriate, through hopelessly unfounded, to dangerously counter-productive. (end quote)

 

I do not wish to divert but…Note that Sherman uses this outdated and irrelevant term the “Left” when the issue is one of nationalism and patriotism and not the price of bread. It is a corrupt term leading to corruption of the mind – the worst kind!

 

But having said that Sherman is very clear! It is as he says and I repeat “not only on the Left of the political spectrum” … that the betrayal of Israel is taking place.

 

In other words he is saying as I am – It is a total crisis of leadership. As far as true and principled leadership is concerned it is vacuum country.

 

As I said about a year ago there is a complete vacuum of leadership in Israel where all kinds of (what can I call them lets be charitable) “idiots” creep in

 

To finish off let me see how Martin Sherman ends his piece and it is the way actually that he ends every piece:

 

 Unless the Jews convey the unequivocal message that any such challenges will be met with overwhelming force, they will increasingly be the victims of such force at the hands of their Arab adversaries.

 

There may be those who find this prescription excessively harsh.

I agree with every word in the above but I say in the ABC of politics the above is a very tiny A or (a)

 

In reality it is really tame because it does not deal at all with power and with the former scenario of the PRESIDENT and the HEAD OF POLICE being absolute scoundrels, and as far as Jewish patriotism is concerned THEY ARE NOT remotely so!

 

ANOTHER TAME ENDING

 

There are just 3 paragraphs to read in the Caroline Glick latest article – again the last three THE ENDING!

I mean what an ending! What is THAT about!

 

I feel as if I am in the middle of a large and deep lough and unable to swim and Caroline has planted me there.

 

There is just no way out of that last sentence of Caroline´s. I am sinking and if this is the best (Caroline) that Israel can do it will sink like a stone.

WE NEED A NEW PARTY TO SPEARHEAD NO ANTISEMITISM (PALESTINIANISM) IN ISRAEL

 

As Caroline Glick and Martin Sherman among many others are saying the whole of the Operation in Gaza has been a defeat for Israel. Israel and the IDF did not settle the issue of Hamas rockets and tunnels.

 

War is not casual. There is always a decisión. More than that targets always have to be set. The main problem in this case is that war was not declared and no targets were set.

 

Netanyahu and his group who control the Media and the State in Israel must not be allowed to ever spin it in any way that suggests a victory.

 

If no war was declared with clear aims that is a problem. If no targets were clearly set another big problem

 

War was NOT declared. Targets changed as things developed.

 

I am proposing that this looseness of language, action, aims, targets, is a result of how Israel is actually governed.

 

WAR RUN BY ONE MAN AND ONE OTHER

The war was run by two people, Netanyahu and Ya’alon (Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon)

 

The war, not called a war I repeat, was not run by a cabinet with the cabinet delegating. There was no delegation. Netanyahu decided.

 

It was also run by the Army Generals, that is the leadership of the IDF, in which Israeli Intelligence was involved too. But not by Cabinet.

 

A leader Danny Dayon was expelled from the Cabinet by Netanyahu because he did not toe THIS line, which is a line of ruling through a non cabinet cabal.

 

This is how no decisión was made to go to war and no targets were set, which resulted in something not war but “operation” (Operation Protective Edge), and not targets of war but tactics which were changing.

 

All of that has resulted in a failure. Every Israeli today knows that the rockets are not destroyed and the tunnels were not destroyed (Debka reports that only tunnels within a few miles of the border were hit by the IDF. Were they all hit? No! And that leaves the whole network in this strip which lead into these tunnels. The whole strip sits now on these deadly tunnels. And the same thing with the rockets, the majority still in existence in Gaza.

 

Politicaly too the war is lost totally. The Obama and Netanyahu line is to bring Abbas forward. But Caroline Glick shows that this is a récipe for disaster and for the introduction of rockets, powerful with guidance, into those tunnels

 

Lost too because Hizbullah and Iran are drawn in by Obama to this solution. That means defeat in spades for Netanyahu and his “Operation”

 

The question is how to form a clear point of opposition to Netanyahu?

TURN OF BIBI TO BETRAY…BIG TIME

Now it is the turn of Netanyahu to betray. Netanyahu too is a favoured son of Israel, the brother of the Entebbe Raid hero, absolutely part of Jewish folklore. Caroline Glick has noted in great detail the ACTUAL (historical detail is her strong point) role of Abbas and how Obama, Kerry and maybe Netanyahu are pushing this person to the Forefront. Note as the UN was the front for Hamas in Gaza, as Caroline points out very clearly and above all comprehensively, detail very impressive, that now it will be Abbas, UN as front for Hamas.

There are many who are voicing the above feelings of dissidence with the ruling elite in Israel from the side of patriotism. (Note the use of left and right as commonly used in Israeli politics is not allowed on this site. These terms are meaningless in the broad world) (Martin Sherman I request you to be careful in using these terms…I have strong backing in this from Francisco Gil White, Jared Israel and Richard Landes)

 

But meanwhile back to this war situation and how practically to proceed.

 

I feel that complex issues can always be reduced down to simple things. In the case of Lenin it was BREAD the people were starving, PEACE the horrific world war 1, LAND many centuries of peasant oppression. (I know this example best so I use it and I think it should be used…this is not pushing “communism” even though I do that as well, and proudly so)

 

I see so many plans and schemes pushed forward by Jews. I know why. They are all trying to do their best and are so fearful of the future given their past.

 

But I try to reduce it to a simple concept. How about “Root out Antisemitism … out of the land of Israel”. Rephrase but keep the meaning.

 

To my studied political position as an irishman I hold that to throw a single Stone against a Jew in Israel (or anywhere on earth) IS ANTISEMITISM IN THE EXTREME.

 

So go figure! What does that mean in practice? it means it is ALL antisemitism in action today!

 

We can ask what does patriotism or authentic nationalism mean in Israel. It can have a religious aspect but still must be practical to survive … after all all human life is practical.

 

The whole of the campaign by Netanyahu in this Gaza Operation was an exercise in how to provide your Antisemite Enemies with all the ammunition they need to stir up vile Antisemitism in the world.

 

The biggest lesson is that the world is going to accuse Israel of being Nazi etc. anyway, whether they send warnings before destroying every empty house, whether they abort missions or not. So why do it?

 

The biggest lesson is that last paragraph above. Study any war, anywhere in the history of warfare and you will find that you attack the enemy with force and without warning. Also you do it decisively, brutally because war is brutal, and over as short a time period as possible. In other words you seek always to pulverise the enemy.

 

Those are the rules of warfare. But that is not adequate for this Jewish cabal who leads Israel since 1948. They want to have special rules for the Jews at war where the Jews are to be seen by the world as super humanitarians.

 

Why not just go to war TO WIN, end the war with victory in as short a period as possible TO WIN AND SAVE LIFE, having achieved victory and pulverized the enemy then be merciful if mercy is possible.

 

The very first consideration for a new leadership, as opposed to what has been in Israel since 48, is to face this consideration at the staart of this war.

 

Hamas control Gaza and the UN in Gaza is an arm of Hamas.

 

ANOTHER CONSIDERATION A NEW LEADERSHIP MIGHT WRITE ON THE BLACKBOARD AT PLANNING STAGE:

 

Evidence from Mohammed el Dura/France2 and from Qana (EU Referendum Reports) that the enemy have a vast Pallywood industry in operation.

 

We knew totally that the enemy control all aspects of the international media in Gaza, something which happened also totally in Yugoslavia against Milosevic and the Serbs.

 

So why did the Netanyahu group therefore do it like that, giving every opportunity and all of the time in the world for the enemy to promote their Pallywood productions and the international media to set up their extensive and long running campaigns of vilification of Israel AND OF JEWS?

 

I return again to these two great assets for Israel:

 

Caroline Glick has showed in the latest article in great detail how Fatah also is an arm of Hamas. This has great importance for the tactics now to be used.

 

Martin Sherman in his latest article showed how every Israeli leader since 1948, especially those with a bit of a name for bravery like Sharon and Begin, that they were a disaster in leadership

 

I cannot say that a Trotskyist Party can come forward this week or even next month and it pains me to say that. Trotskyisn was wiped out in 1940 by Stalin and by Hitler and by all capitalist governments. Roosevelt promoted Stalinism.

 

Nevertheless there must be a next practical step by patriots (Note again I shun the use of “Right” here a term that is lethally self-limiting for a great cause)

 

There must now be a new organised NEW party created on a platform opposed to a SECOND Palestine Arab state in Israel. Netanyahu has of course placed himself outside of this. Such a party is in opposition to Netanyahu. But note at times in unity and in defence of too.

 

Martin Sherman and Caroline Glick plus many others must continue their activity, telling Jews and the world the truth, but they must do it as part of an organised party which is in opposition to the present ruling group.

 

Of course such a party must defend Netanyahu and others who are actually our enemies if they come under attack from the Antisemites, but that is a necessary defence against the enemy, especially necessary to enable the discussion to proceed.

 

This defence of our political opponents becomes ever more necessary in a period like today when there is a Muslim Brotherhood man in charge of America with all the power that Obama brings to his mission to promote the Muslim Brotherhood. I return to this theme of how to defend Netanyahu at times agains the enemy precisely because of Obamam who is a Muslim hater of Jews

 

Now Obama clearly sees the need and the opportunity to rescue Hamas by promoting Abbas and Fatah.

 

El Sisi like Mubarak remains an Antisemitic Arab. The situation not to go along with Obama support for Abbas becomes ever more critical.

 

Israel does not need grand plans and it simply needs to find a way through a party to express its needs at each point

 

IMMEDIATE AND UNPOSTPONABLE STEPS

The very first step is to explain to the Israeli people that the Operation in Gaza did not and was never meant to defeat Hamas.

 

Moreover explain that Abbas is actually worse than Hamas. They are all part of the same Antisemitic scheme in the world against Jews and Israel.

 

That is the single most important issue to be fought out and clarified in front of every single Israeli today, and that includes those Arabs in Israel who love Israel.

 

It is a political and a practical task and not a religious one that has to be carried out. In this case freedom of religion means putting an end to Antisemitism in Israel. Start there at least!

 

 

 

WHY IS CAROLINE GLICK ALMOST CRYING ON HER LATEST VIDEO?

George Bush removed Saddam who although no friend of the Jews was still a major secular block to Iran. Bush put Hamas in power helped by Condi Rice who insisted on that election in Gaza.

 

I listened to Glick very carefully. I do not like her politics at all. She seemed to be almost in tears.

 

This is wrong. Israel and Jews are a powerful nation and all is possible in this war.

 

Israel simply has to do what Brian Boru did in Ireland. Brian took the ground on which the Danes were standing and held on to it. Same with Israel and Gaza plus Judea and Samaria. Israel must take the ground on which these Antisemites are standing and hold on to that ground. If these Arabs do not want to be full of hope for the Jewish state then help them to a wonderful life in Holland or in Germany.

CAROLINE GLICK ON FRANCIS WANTS TO TIE THE JEWISH PEOPLE TO COMMUNIST HATRED

Did the Jewish leaders like Caroline Glick not know what to expect when Pope Francis came to Jerusalem. If Glick had any political sense then she would have known that nothing but trouble lay in store for the Jewish people who have always faced deep threat from the Vatican.

In our times there was only one Pope, Benedict, who confronted the reality of Islam and therefore Palestinianism, but following his famous address he withdrew and retreated from the Jihad, which was threatening not only himself Benedict but of course millions of Christians in Muslim countries. Reality of Islam.

Francis has never said one word against Islam. He thinks it is a religion of peace led astray by a few extremists. His Christians are being decimated and he talks like that all of the time.

Caroline Glick is a major problem for the Jewish people today. She presents Jews in Israel with the presence of at least 40 per cent Muslims. How could that work given what we see in Europe. Some special magic perhaps!

This is carried on in her position on everything, including this Pope visit.

In the following extract from her latest article she is actually saying that John Paul 2 that hated bigot and pro-Imperialist, was actually a friend of the Jews. At least that is what I read. Consider this:

His predecessor Pope John Paul II was less willing to confront Islamic violence. But his opposition to Communism made him respect Israel as freedom’s outpost in the Middle East. John Paul’s visit to Israel in 2000 was in some ways an historic gesture of friendship to the Jewish people of Israel.

Both Benedict and John Paul II were outspoken champions of the Second Vatican Council and maintained doctrinal allegiance to the Church’s rejection of anti-Judaism, including the charge of deicide, and its denunciation of replacement theology.

Alas, the Golden Age of Catholic-Jewish relations seems to have come to an end during Francis’s visit to the Promised Land this week.

“Opposition to communism” by John Paul 2 is what endears him to Glick.

And here we are back at this same issue for Jews which comes up time and time again. Why should Jews be proponents of capitalism and its advanced stage Imperialism?

Why tie Jews to that?

And more! In tying Jews to the hoodlum Anti-Communist John Paul 2, Glick is also tying Jews to the Argentine dictatorship, which as everybody knows was also a fight against “communism” and directed by the CIA, and is tying Jews to the actions of Pope Francis then head of the Jesuits in Argentina. Read this extract:

Elena was pregnant when she was snatched in February 1977. Her parents reached out to a family contact in Rome, the superior general of the Jesuits. He promised to help them and sent Elena’s father a letter of introduction to the head Jesuit in Argentina, 40-year-old Fr Jorge Mario Bergoglio.

Ms de la Cuadra has the letter Fr Bergoglio wrote to a bishop in La Plata asking him to help the family. Eventually they received news: Elena was gone forever but had given birth to a daughter Ana before she was murdered. The baby had been adopted. “My parents were told there was nothing more that could be done,” says Ms de la Cuadra.

What makes her cynical about the pope’s emergence as one of the world‘s leading moral voices is that in testimony he gave in 2010 to a court investigating the military’s crimes Bergoglio, by now archbishop of Buenos Aires, said he had become aware of the military’s illegal adoption of hundreds of children born to women it had disappeared only “10 years before”, correcting himself to say he had become aware of the campaign to recover the children during the first trials of the military leadership in 1985.

“It is a lie, because he met our family about this very issue during the dictatorship,” says Ms de la Cuadra, who says her father told Fr Bergoglio his daughter was pregnant.

In a 2011 signed statement Cardinal Bergoglio said he was not told the disappeared woman was pregnant. But even so his claim of ignorance about the plight of pregnant detainees is hard to reconcile with the role played in publicising the issue by Ms de la Cuadra’s mother and the other founders of the Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo, the group that campaigned for information about their missing loved ones…

The debate is now in full swing. It takes one crucial form in the differences that Martin Sherman has with the new book by Caroline Glick

 

I and 4international are totally on the side of Martin Sherman and against Glick and the conclusions of the Glick book. These comclusions were very well described by Sherman thus:

 

But I have grave reservations – to understate the case – regarding what is, in fact, the center-piece of her book: Her proposal that Israel not only annex the entire area of Judea and Samaria, extend Israeli sovereignty over these territories and apply Israeli law to them, but incorporate the Arab population there as permanent residents of Israel, and offer them a path to citizenship.

 

It would require more than a gigantic leap of unsubstantiated hope to believe that such a measure could precipitate any result other than “Lebanonization” of Israel.

Were Glick’s prescription to be adopted, it is difficult to see how internecine inter-ethnic strife, which has become the hallmark of Israel’s northern neighbor, would not afflict Israel itself. Even if her demographic calculations are correct, it would induce almost intolerable pressures on the socioeconomic fabric of the country, were it to attempt to maintain itself as the nation-state of the Jewish people.

 

Glick does seem to be aware, at least partially, of the severity of the problems implementation of her policy prescription is likely to generate. She writes: “The main price Israel will pay for applying its laws to Judea and Samaria… will be the demographic burden of increasing its potentially hostile Arab minority by 1.66 million people.”

 

Elsewhere she acknowledges that there will be an “initial shock that [Israel’s] economy will likely absorb following the sudden, steep rise in the number of applications for its welfare rolls after it grants permanent residency to the Palestinians in Judea and Samaria.”

 

But apart from glib acknowledgment of their existence, I could find no indication of how Glick proposes that the grave societal strains she mentions (and the many that she doesn’t) will be resolved, other than an expression of optimism that they will be.

 

In other words Glick proceeds in her political praxis on a wing and a prayer. Sherman along with the great majority, I maintain, of Jews do not want to proceed like that.

 

I maintain this because the connections of Glick with the US Establishment Jewish groups give her the appearance of much and deep support. That is the Lie right there.

 

Sherman is right to call her.

 

Belman the editor of Israpundit has refused to back Sherman in this struggle. Which brings me back to that piece of Hitlerite Nazi crap at the top of this piece. That was published on Belman´s editorship of Israpundit and remains there.

 

This is not the kind of leadership Jews today need.

But the Palestinian Arab phenomenon as sold to the world is no more than Jihad in Alliance with Christian Antisemitism a la Vatican. It is also intermixed with the crisis of US Imperialism and with the non viability of the EU, with this crisis in capitalism producing growing trends towards war, especially towards war by NATO against Russia. So Jihad is central in many of the plans of the most reactionary fast becoming Fascist forces on earth: Islam, the EU, US Imperialism

 

What does Glick propose to do? Not take the fight against this ideology but lodge it ever more strongly inside the Israeli state, with up to 40 per Arab Jihadist against the unfortunate 60 per cent Jews, unfortunate because the Jews are alone, while there are billions of Muslims surrounding her.

 

It is the most ghastly thing that Glick has done in this book. Glick does not mean or set out to do so, but she weakens Israel as Iran helped by the US and the growing crisis between US and Russia prepares to strike Israel and Jews

 

Martin Sherman does not posit this issue of the Jews in the world economic capitalist crisis situation. Still he has taken a valiant step against Glick and I support him critically but unconditionally in doing this

Caroline Glick on her new style blog has not reported on the Russian Bombings. (www.carolineglick.com) Glick has written a reactionary article attacking Putin and Russia just hours before the Jihad Bombs went off killing and injuring hundreds of Russian working class people, most going to work.

At least 14 people have been killed in a suicide bombing on a trolleybus in the Russian city of Volgograd, investigators say.

The blast comes a day after 17 people died in another suicide attack at the central station in the city.

Security has been tightened at railway stations and airports across Russia.

Moscow is concerned that militants could be ramping up violence in the run-up to the 2014 winter Olympic Games in the city of Sochi in February.

The Olympics venue is close to Russia’s volatile north Caucasus region, and the BBC’s Moscow correspondent Daniel Sandford says it was always risky staging the Games so near to the troubled republics of Chechnya and Dagestan.

For most Russians, these attacks came as a huge shock. Despite public assurances that the troubles in the Caucasus were coming under control, clashes between extremists and government troops, and some small-scale attacks, have continued.

More disturbingly, extremism has recently started to flare up further north, in some of Russia’s central regions, much closer to Volgograd.

This industrial and transport hub is of huge symbolic importance to most Russians. The attacks there, just weeks before the opening of the Winter Olympics, have created unease across Russia. Many are now asking why the country’s powerful security services failed to stop the bombers, accusing them of complacency and unprofessionalism.

The threat to the games in Sochi may not be so great: there are hundreds of police officers and military personnel deployed around the area. But the fear is that the bombers may strike elsewhere.

These bombs have been a brutal reminder of that, he says.

In a statement, Russia’s foreign ministry did not blame any particular group but called for international solidarity in the fight against “an insidious enemy that can only be defeated together”.

Regional Governor Sergei Bozhenov said the bombings were a “serious test” for all Volgograd residents and all Russians.

The president of the International Olympic Committee has expressed full confidence that Russian authorities will deliver “safe and secure” Games in Sochi.

Busy market

The latest explosion took place near a busy market in Volgograd’s Dzerzhinsky district.

Maksim Akhmetov, a Russian TV reporter who was at the scene of the blast, said the trolleybus was packed with people going to work in the morning rush hour.

He described the scene as “terrible”, adding that the bus was “ravaged” and that there were “bodies everywhere, blood on the snow”.

The explosion was the second in the city in 24 hours. A blast hit a train station on Sunday.

The figures given for the number of dead and injured are still fluctuating, but investigators and the Russian health ministry told a news conference that 14 people had been killed.

At least 20 others were injured, and Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova said the patients were in “a bad condition with burns, with multiple injuries typical of blast-induced wounds”.

She said the injured include a pregnant woman, two 16 year olds and a baby aged about six months whose parents are assumed dead

Video footage from the scene Monday showed the twisted shell of the blue trolleybus, with debris spread around it. The impact of the blast blew out the roof of the bus, as well as windows of several nearby houses. At least 15 people were reported to be wounded.

Based on the footage, the blast appeared to have occurred in the back half of the bus. It was most likely caused by an explosive left inside the vehicle, Russia’s National Anti-Terrorism Committee told RIA Novosti.

Investigators said the train station blast Sunday appeared to have been caused by a suicide bomber, who may have been female.

Markin told Ria Novosti that DNA testing will be carried out on the remains of the bomber, who used the equivalent of 10 kilograms of TNT in a device containing shrapnel. Investigators say they also found an unexploded grenade at the scene.

Video taken from an outside security camera shows a huge fireball inside what appears to be the main entrance of the three-story stone building followed by a steady trail of smoke coming out shattered windows.

The approaching Olympics

The deadly explosions come ahead of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, which is situated less than 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) southwest of Volgograd. The Games will take place between February 7 and 24.

Once called Stalingrad, Volgograd is a major rail hub in the region, and each day thousands of passengers pass through the station, many on their way to Moscow.

For Justice Minister Tzipi Livi, all politics are personal.

She can be trusted, because she is good. Her opponents must be rejected, because they are evil.

In her speech at The Jerusalem Post’s Diplomatic Conference in Herzliya last Thursday, Livni insisted that the only “legitimate” basis for opposing a Palestinian state is ideological. Livni stridently rejected the notion that one can oppose the establishment of a Palestinian state – in the two-state solution framework – for security reasons.

As she sees it, everyone cares equally about security. And since she cares about security just as much as her political opponents do, the question of whose policy will better protect the country is illegitimate. She’s nice. She cares. So she’s just as competent as the next guy.

There’s just one problem with Livni’s claim.

She has a track record.

ISRAEL ENACTED two major strategic initiatives that have her signature on them: the 2005 withdrawal from Gaza, and UN Security Council Resolution 1701 from 2006 that set the terms for the end of the Second Lebanon War.

Both were massive failures. Both caused Israel’s national security to deteriorate. And in both cases, Livni’s political opponents warned that her strategies were wrong-headed, dangerous and unhinged from strategic realities.

Livni built her career on her support for the withdrawal of all Israeli civilians and security forces from the Gaza Strip.

It was her decision to jump on the expulsions bandwagon, and her fervent castigation and demonization of all her former colleagues and voters, that caused then prime minister Ariel Sharon to promote her from a the backwaters of the Absorption Ministry to center stage at the Justice Ministry.

Within months Livni became second only to Ehud Olmert in seniority in Sharon’s government.

As justice minister, Livni ignored the law and trounced democratic norms to repress opponents of the withdrawal.

Licensed buses transporting law abiding citizens to legal protests were unlawfully intercepted en route by police.

Protest organizers were subjected to warrantless, middle-of-the-night searches, unlawful seizure of private property and arbitrary arrests without charge.

13-year-old girls were arrested for participating in protests. They were jailed for four months without charges being brought against them.

And Livni, who since her 2003 ideological transformation from nationalist to radical leftist has presented herself as the guardian of Israeli democracy, oversaw the entire process.

We know what happened after Israel withdrew from Gaza. Just as all of Livni’s opponents warned, Israel was shelled by more rockets, mortars and missiles than ever before. Tel Aviv and Jerusalem are now in range of Gaza’s terror armies.

Hamas took over Gaza, and transformed it into a hub for the global jihad, linking the jihad against Israel to the jihad against Egypt and the rest of the world.

Gaza, which before the withdrawal was never more than a tactical nuisance, became a regional strategic threat.

As the war the next year showed, Israel’s decision to cut and run from Gaza, and its willingness to forcibly expel ten thousand of its most productive citizens from their homes, was a profound expression of weakness. Just as the withdrawal opponents warned, it invited the aggression that Hezbollah visited on us.

As foreign minister during the war, Livni was responsible for organizing Israel’s diplomatic defense and managing relations with the US and Europe.

She chose a strategy of preemptive capitulation. Against the will of prime minister Ehud Olmert, Livni began negotiating the cease-fire in the early days of the war, vacuously insisting that there was no military solution to a terrorist organization’s war of aggression.

The result of her dubious efforts was 1701, which from Israel’s perspective is arguably the most problematic Security Council resolution ever passed. Not only did 1701 treat Hezbollah, a terrorist organization that fought an illegal war against Israel, as a legitimate party simply by ignoring it. It made Hezbollah the victor in the war by ensuring it would retake control of Lebanon’s border with Israel without any serious opposition.

THESE TWO strategic initiatives are Livni’s national security track record. As their failures show, whatever her intentions may be, she is totally incompetent to understand, secure or advance Israel’s national security.

From her egomaniacal insistence that she is The One who will bring the peace, it is apparent that Livni has never accepted responsibility for the damage she has caused the country.

But she does seem to recognize that she cannot defend her actions on their merits. Just as the only card she plays in her favor is egomaniacal self-aggrandizement, so the only card she plays against her opponents is aggressive demonization.

Sunday the cabinet approved the release of another 26 terrorist murderers from prison. The release is second of four tranches that will bring about the release of 104 terrorist murderers from prison. This is the price that Livni and US Secretary of State John Kerry convinced Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to pay for the privilege of having Livni sit across a negotiating table from Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erekat.

In a bid to block the cabinet decision, on Saturday night the Jewish Home (Bayit Yehudi) party released a statement saying that Israel mustn’t endanger the public just so that Livni can sit at a table with chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat.

The statement attracted a lot of media attention because it was on the mark.

Livni’s negotiations are endangering Israel’s national security. Hundreds of Israelis have been murdered over the years by terrorists Israel released early from prison for political reasons. More will certainly be murdered by those now being released.

And that isn’t all. The act of releasing terrorists emboldens other terrorists to strike. When they see these murderers welcomed home as heroes after serving a fraction of their life sentences, wouldbe murderers understand that they have a free hand to kill Jews.

Then there are the lessons the Palestinians have learned over 20 years of negotiations. They know that Israel deals with terrorism with kid gloves when negotiations are taking place. Out of fear of angering their Palestinian “partners” Israel’s leaders have consistently failed to take effective action against terrorist attacks that occur while the PLO is supposedly talking peace with us.

So just by sitting down with Erekat, Livni is constraining the freedom of action of the IDF to protect the country.

The recent spate of terrorist attacks, and the IDF’s timid response to them, made this clear, yet again.

The Jewish Home party’s statement neatly encapsulated all of these incontrovertible charges. Since she has no substantive defense against them, she responded with rank demonization and criminalization.

Speaking to Army Radio, Livni’s surrogate, Environmental Protection Minister Amir Peretz, said, “The Jewish Home party has become a messianic and extremist home. The incitement and hatemongering is egregious…. Angry statements like this… can lead to murder.”

AND THERE you have it. Livni, the egomaniacal failure, is competent because she says she cares; and her opponents, who were right about the Gaza withdrawal, right about 1701 and are right about the terrorist releases and the negotiations, are murderers.

Livni promised the audience at the conference last Thursday that she will never quit politics again. Let’s hope her word on that score is as solid as her national security credentials.

Yet this issue of them labelling people like Soros, or George Galloway as being “left”, raises huge issues. I mean, how can a person be a socialist and support Hamas? Get my point! There is a huge talking point here which is not being explored except by us and our voice is weak against very powerful blogs.

Basically Caroline Glick is asking how can a person like Tony Kushner who is a supporter of Hamas be offered a degree by an American University.

it is the same question which is running through the whole of European politics.

I ask the same question here on 4international all the time, how can people who call themselves socialists or left support Hamas?

IN THAT ARTICLE, A GREAT ARTICLE, BUT…

Caroline Glick herself is doing a grave disservice to learning and the truth by labelling her enemies in this case as socialist. She uses the term “Left” or “The Left”, others in this and other situations are using terms like “Leftists” which is not quite so big a lie. Glick comes right out with it and says this is “The Left”

 

But this is not the left at all.

 

For a start in the main these are university types. They are usually, from my experience, people who have only one main interest in life, and that is climbing up the greasy pole of academia. They usually subscribe to the notion “Scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours”!

 

I do not know how to describe that except to say that it is a feature of a corrupt and corrupting capitalist society.

 

They are part of the capitalist system. A peculiar part but a part nevertheless! Perhaps another explanation is that the capitalist system is turning in on itself, cause the insoluble crisis. Yeats had a thought about this in talking about the Irish Civil War he used the metaphor of the sow eating its own farrow.

 

I cannot see how their hatred of American history and American traditions of free speech, for example, have anything to do with the American working class

 

The opposite! The American working class needs to preserve those great traditions, such as the tradition of free speech.

 

The working class does not have a culture. The working class has to preserve the best of bourgeois culture and build on that.

 

The real crime of people like Chomsky is that they are separate from the American working class, are rooted inside the corrupt and bourgeois university elite, and seek to separate the American working class from the Great American Revolution and its huge gains for humanity.

 

To nail this hypothesis: Many of these organizations and individuals are funded by George Soros, or are connected in some way with the funding of George Soros, which fact is becoming clearer every single day which passes.

 

George Soros is an Israel hater, is a promoter of Palestinian Arab and corrupting Fascism.

 

But a representative of the American working class? That is absurd!

 

How is George Soros anything but a distinct part of the corrupt and corrupting world capitalist system of credit, and the misuse of that system of credit, to the extent of taking down whole countries, with terrible consequences in lost jobs of workers, poverty, repression, ensuing dictatorship. There is an unbroken link from the youth George Soros being part of stripping the bodies of Holocaust Jews and stripping the lives of the poor in the present, all in the name of playing the capitalist finance game, something which is lauded in every banker’s circle in the world. That is their game. Soros is nothing more than part of that game. All of these individuals that Glazov mentions are located inside that economic and political Soros type environment as well.

 

I do indeed wholeheartedly welcome the exposure made of all of these individuals and groups. But representatives of the American working class, as promoters of workers power and socialism or communism, hardly!

 

Not only do I welcome the exposure of these individuals and groups as anti-Semites and as promoters of the Fascist  position that America is a Fascist country, thus riding over the basic rights and gains made by the Great American Revolution, including the gains of the Great American Revolution of Tom Paine as well.

 

My movement would seek to expose these very dangerous political characters like Chomsky as well, or more, than what Glazov does.

 

Glazov does not see it and cannot see it: these “Leftists” are children of his own bourgeois circles and that explains a lot!
