There is only one thing for a Russian Revolutionary Government to do, a government that would be led by TROTSKYISM. Your response was nothing but loaded rhetoric downplaying the existential BDS threat and downplaying the attacks against me on my campus for being a Zionist. Perhaps worst of all, you downplayed the anti-Semitic attacks on students across the United States, Europe and soon the world. These attacks exist because we are proud Zionists.

You should have responded with a big fat “nothing,” because the Foreign Ministry of Israel has decided to focus its attention elsewhere. Though it may be more practical to allocate time and resources elsewhere, in doing so, Israel is taking a risk it cannot afford to take. By focusing all of its energy on its adversaries, many of whom will never recognize Israel either on a map or as a Jewish state with a right to exist, Israel is putting the passion of North American Zionists, many of whom are Jews and many of whom are not, on the back burner. This, I believe, is of a greater existential threat than a nuclear-ambitions Iran.

I was not born in Israel. I was not born in an Israeli home in American. I am a Jewish American. But before I am anything, at the most fundamental level of my existence; like Foreign Minister Liberman, like Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, like every soldier my age in the IDF, I am a Zionist. And you, Mr. Foreign Minister, overlooked the fact that, unlike Israelis, I and the thousands of students made the active decision to fight for Israel, a country which has redefined and challenged our perception of what “home” really means.

We are the lost unit of the IDF Spokesman’s Office, we are the story of SUNY (State University of New York) students who stayed up until 5 a.m. to watch the victorious fight against BDS resolutions at UC Berkeley, we are the students who laughed off the libelous labels of being called “imperial genocidal maniacs” by a paid employee of our university. And we carry out these increasingly routine acts of educated-backed passion, not because we are in contract with Israel to do so or because we want accolades; we do it because we are Zionists. Contrary to those closed-minded individuals who say Zionists must live in Israel, the movement of young college students in the States fighting for Israel represents the very core of Zionism. That is, young people doing incredible things for the State of Israel.

You have given us MASA, you have contributed to the founding of Birthright-Taglit and this was your gift to us. We, now, have a gift for you, Mr. Foreign Minister and Mr. Prime Minister. Zionism is a great movement and we salute this callby this Young American Jew. Also it is a great call in many respects but in one respect above all others. To fight for Israel you do not have to be IN Israel. Israel in one of its respects is a refuge for Jews against Antisemitism but it is simply not accurate to say that Jews internationally are int he same position that Jews were in in 1939 in Germany and Poland. Some religious Jews are saying that at this momento in time in Europe and America it is already all over and it is too late to fight for Israel and to fight against Antisemitism. Forgive me1 I was not aware! Has a Fascist Party already taken power in America and done away with Congress? Are trade unions and all other parties other tan the Fascist Party banned and its leaders in concentration camps? I answer do not be ridiculous! Bit the answer is also based on history. In 1939 the Nazis were already in power for 6 years. the critical year in the Nazis taking power was without a doubt 1933 and I am led to the conclusión that if there had been a clear leadership in the German working class, and not the leadership of the Stalinist Comintern and the Second International (Tony Blair Labourites) in power, then the Nazis would have been stopped in 1933. Pamela Geller is a servant of US Imperialism and so she is at present totally silent on the Ukrainian issue. This means she supports Fascists. Silence here equals support. But how can those two things go together, that is a servant of US Imperialism, and also against Islamic Jihad, remembering that Islamic Jihad is promoted by all branches of US and EU Imperialism? This is a big question for Jews who also face the Jihad of the “Palestinians”. This needs to be discussed.

The following will help us to see through this “conundrum:

Pamela Geller has opened up a big campaign against the NY Mayor Bill de Blasio. Geller calls him a “Communist”. Is that true or false? Can Geller be serious here?

Bill de Blasio from what I can learn is part of that Stalinist cum pro Islam and Antisemitic “Left”, by this I mean what is called the “Left”

The question that Geller must be forced to address is if de Blasio is Stalinist how is he Communist.

In other words is Stalinism the same as Communism?

Or is Trotskyism the same as Stalinism?

Or is what Lenin fought for the same as what Lenin and the Bolsheviks fought for.

Those are actually very basic questions and they are also questions which ARE answerable. It involves a Project in political life which is doable.

Geller and Spencer are “tricky” and an example of this is the way they use the “Sandanistas” to attack de Blasio, but there are a couple of issues here which they do not raise never mind answer. The first issue was the role of Reagan and of US Imperialism in Central America against the South American people. It is very telling that Geller and Spencer are hiding this. The second issue that these “tricky duo” do not raise is were the Sandanistas Communists or Stalinists, and if the Sandanistas were allied with the East German Stalinists does that not mean that the Sandanista Leadership was in essence a Stalinist leadership? Whatever the answer it is very clear that in Spencer and in Geller we are dealing with subterfuge which is indeed dangerous for us all, and also for Jews. As I said, “tricky”!

“Witness to a Syrian Execution: ‘I Saw a Scene of Utter Cruelty,'” by Patrick Witty in Time, September 12 (thanks to Anne Crockett):

All wars are vicious, but the civil war in Syria seems every day to set new standards for brutality. As the fighting rages in its third year, increasing numbers of atrocities are committed by soldiers and fighters from forces loyal to the regime of President Bashar Assad, as well as armed rebels and Islamic militants from the numerous, loosely aligned groups opposing Assad. The violence is frequently sectarian in nature, with fighters claiming they act in defense of their faith, be it Sunni, Alawite, Shiite or any of the other sects that contribute to Syria’s religious landscape.

The perpetrators of atrocities themselves often use digital cameras or smartphones to photograph or film their acts of torture and murder, uploading the images to the Internet. These images and videos are used for propaganda, and their authenticity is often impossible to verify. It is very rare that a group of fighters from either side gives a professional photojournalist from a country outside Syria full and unfettered access to chronicle an atrocity as it unfolds. The images above are products of that access.

What follows is a harrowing series of photographs of Islamic militants publicly executing, by decapitation, a young Syrian in the town of Keferghan, near Aleppo, on August 31, 2013.

Because of the danger in reporting inside Syria, it was not possible to confirm the identity or political affiliation of the victim. Nor are we certain about the motivation of his killers. One eyewitness who lives in the area and was contacted by TIME a week after the beheadings said that the executioners were from ISIS, an Al-Qaeda franchise operating in Syria and Iraq.

TIME obtained the images exclusively from a photographer who was recently in Syria. This decapitation was the last of four executions he documented that day. TIME has agreed not to publish the photographer’s name,  to protect him from repercussions when he returns to Syria. What follows is an edited account of his experience:

The man was brought in to the square. His eyes were blindfolded. I began shooting pictures, one after the other. It was to be the fourth execution that day I would photograph. I was feeling awful; several times I had been on the verge of throwing up. But I kept it under control because as a journalist I knew I had to document this, as I had the three previous beheadings I had photographed that day, in three other locations outside Aleppo.    The crowd began cheering. Everyone was happy. I knew that if I tried to intervene I would be taken away, and that the executions would go ahead. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to change what was happening and I might put myself in danger.

    I saw a scene of utter cruelty: a human being treated in a way that no human being should ever be treated. But it seems to me that in two and a half years, the war has degraded people’s humanity. On this day the people at the execution had no control over their feelings, their desires, their anger. It was impossible to stop them.

    I don’t know how old the victim was but he was young. He was forced to his knees. The rebels around him read out his crimes from a sheet of paper. They stood around him. The young man was on his knees on the ground, his hands tied. He seemed frozen.

    Two rebels whispered something into his ear and the young man replied in an innocent and sad manner, but I couldn’t understand what he said because I don’t speak Arabic.

    At the moment of execution the rebels grasped his throat. The young man put up a struggle. Three or four rebels pinned him down. The man tried to protect his throat with his hands, which were still tied together. He tried to resist but they were stronger than he was and they cut his throat. They raised his head into the air. People waved their guns and cheered. Everyone was happy that the execution had gone ahead….

Thanks for the ambitious headline: “Mladic trial a time for Balkan truth.”

We can only wish that truth were the goal of The Hague.

The Journal says that “Unquestionably, justice is the prime imperative behind the arrest and coming trial of the Balkans’ dreadful Ratko Mladic.”

Using the preface “unquestionably” doesn’t make it unquestionable.

The Journal says that “It is true that in the most passionate of conflicts, nothing will shake some people from false or distorted versions of past events.”

Serbians and the many reputable critics who have witnessed the reporting and trials that came out of these civil wars will firmly support that statement. What is a false version of past events? Could it be that changing the definition of genocide to fit the crime Mladic is accused of is a falsehood?

Thousands of Serbs around Srebrenica were slaughtered, tortured and beheaded by Muslims based in the Srebrenica “safe haven.” There was no question about who did it: Naser Oric, the leader of the killers, photographed his victims and bragged to Western journalists. This man got a light sentence -a slap on the wrist.

Who would believe that Mladic will get a fair trial?

There was never a Serbian plan, much less a Mladic plan, for a greater Serbia, but sloppy reporters, including The Journal, in using those words.

Anybody can pick up a package of past articles written about the conflicts and spit it out again. The Journal coyly states that if Mladic is convicted it will be for specific, verifiable crimes, but he has been convicted again and again in the press until he is finally being sent to this kangaroo court to tie things up.

The Serbian people are a dignified, justice-loving people whose story is ignored.

Senior official admits to secret U.N. report on Sarajevo massacre

For the first time, a senior U.N. official has admitted the existence of a secret U.N. report that blames the Bosnian Moslems for the February 1994 massacre of Moslems at a Sarajevo market.

Yasushi Akashi, the Undersecretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and the former head of the U.N. mission in Bosnia, told the German Press Agency dpa that the secret report is “no secret.”

An international outcry over the massacre, in which 68 civilians perished at Markale marketplace, led directly to a toughening of Western policy towards the Serbs, who were widely blamed for the incident.

But there have been persistent rumours at the United Nations ever since that a U.N. report clearly blamed the Moslems for firing on their own people in order to create international sympathy and get the West to fight on their side against the Serbs.

Until Thursday, U.N. officials strongly denied the report existed, even after it was quoted in press reports.

Akashi told dpa that not only did the first report exist, but that some journalists already had a copy. He said the details were in a 1995 story by U.S. journalist David Binder, who quoted from the confidential report.

According to Binder, the report said U.N. peacekeepers were prevented by Moslem police from entering the site in the aftermath of the explosion. No doctors were allowed on the scene and the 197 victims were carried away to hospital within 25 minutes.

After studying the crater left by the mortar shell and the distribution of the shrapnel, the report concluded that the shell was fired from behind Moslem lines. U.N. monitors reported no Serbian shelling that day from points near the marketplace.

The official U.N. report that was subsequently released said the evidence as to who fired the shell was inconclusive, since it originated from an area where Moslem and Serb lines were very close. The two reports represented divergent views, but the United Nations chose to publish the neutral report and keep the other secret.

The incident led to a NATO ultimatum to Bosnian Serbs to withdraw their heavy weapons from around Sarajevo.

At the time, Madeleine Albright, the U.S. ambassador to the U.N., said: “It’s very hard to believe any country would do this to their own people, and therefore, although we do not exactly know what the facts are, it would seem to us that the Serbs are the ones that probably have a great deal of responsibility.”

CORROBORATED IN THESE 3 CLOSING PARAGRAPHS OF THIS AKI REPORT from Dec. 2007:
Bosnian Serb leaders have claimed that the attack was engineered by Bosnian Muslim forces to lay blame on the Serbs and some UN officials in Bosnia have speculated that it may have been the case.

[Dragomir] Milosevic has argued that Muslim forces were entrenched in Sarajevo from where they shelled Serb positions, thus making the city a “legitimate target”.

Since its founding in 1993, the ICTY has indicted 161 individuals, mostly Serbs….

A source and reader of Pamela’s (Armaros), whom I’ve fought with in her comments section because he’s still a bit brainwashed on the Balkans (but more fair-minded than most), sent her the following email containing Johnson’s post yesterday:

Notice that, like the Muslim world, LGF readers and bloggers don’t seem to believe in free speech. I mean, if Geller should be chained to a wall and all.

Notice something else, a consistent pattern when it comes to the Balkans. It doesn’t matter if the Serb-exculpatory information is coming from a report by an otherwise Serb-hostile UN, or from an AFP dispatch (as in Pamela’s post), or from Amnesty International, HRW, any number of UN generals or officials — or even from more honest members of the designated victim sides. The charge is always the same: “Geller says…” or “Gorin says…” and stuff like ‘These blinded-by-anti-Muslim-hate bitches have lost their marbles.’ I don’t think that Generals Satish Nambiar, Lewis MacKenzie, Philippe Morillon and Mauro Del Vecchio are crazy bitches — as aren’t the Dutch UN battalion or Canadian former ambassador James Bissett, nor the score of non-Gorin, non-Geller columnists who have been trying to call attention to the fallacy of the official Bosnia and Kosovo narratives (on which policy continues to hinge and certain state-building projects are based). What reminded me of the phenomenon in which the people and reports that Pamela or I quote are completely ignored as sources (and instead Pamela and I magically become the only sources of what we’re saying) was the following letter posted at the 1389 blog. I’m in the process of finding out which publication it was intended for and whether it was ultimately published there or not:

The capture of General Ratko Mladic has brought the Balkan situation to the fore again. Very successful EU and NATO propaganda has created an impression in the public mind which is at considerable variance from the facts.

Readers might like to guess which Balkan leaders said or wrote the following:

A. “Genocide is a natural phenomenon in keeping with the human-social and mythological divine nature. It is not only commended but commanded by the Almighty…”

B. “Protect brotherhood and unity…nationalism always means isolation from others, being locked in a closed circle and stopping growth…”

C. “There can be no peace or coexistence between the Islamic faith and non Islamic institutions. The Islamic movement can and must take power as soon as it is morally strong enough, not only to destroy the non Islamic power but to build a new one….”

The answers may surprise.

They are:

A. Franjo Tudjman – leader of Croatia, backed by EU/NATO
B. Slobodan Milosevic – Serbian leader branded as “the butcher of the Balkans” by EU/NATO
C. Alija Izetbegovic – Muslim leader of Bosnia, backed by EU/NATO

So it is no surprise that things are not quite as portrayed with General Mladic. Atrocities there certainly were at Srebrenica but on both sides, as testified by the Canadian UN Commander, General Lewis Mackenzie. He states that the Muslim forces used the UN “safe haven” at Srebrenica as a base for murderous attacks against surrounding Serb villages in which thousands of civilians were killed.

So when the Bosnian Serb forces arrived in the town, they were not in a forgiving mood and many murders undoubtedly took place but, as for the claim of 8,000 killed, “the math just doesn’t add up”. Neither does anyone committing genocide allow women and children safe passage — as Mladic’s forces did.

Whilst saying that two wrongs don’t make a right, General MacKenzie believes that the Serbs were fooled into their attack to provide a pretext for NATO air strikes….[Yes, it’s called winning by losing — as dubbed by Nebojsa Malic.] The Muslim Commander, General Nasir Oric, got off at the Hague tribunal but I doubt whether General Mladic will.

All the facts aside, I’ll ask an obvious question that I’ve asked before: Are we really still supposed to mourn Muslim soldiers? Really?

In closing, to Mr. Spalton’s “Guess Who Said” list, at least three other statements off the top of my head could be added:

CRISIS IN EGYPT

Egypt’s currency has declined by only about 6% since January, despite substantial capital flight, due to market intervention by the central bank, but the rapid drawdown of reserves is unsustainable.

At this rate Egypt will be broke by September.

Egypt imported $55 billion worth of goods in 2009, but exported only $29 billion of goods. With the jump in food and energy prices, the same volume of imports would cost considerably more. Egypt closed the 2009 trade gap with about $15 billion in tourist revenues, and about $8 billion of remittances from Egyptian workers abroad. But tourism today is running at a fraction of last year’s levels, and remittances are down by around half due to expulsion of Egyptian workers from Libya. Even without capital flight, Egypt is short perhaps $25 billion a year.

Price controls and currency depreciation have made it more profitable for wholesalers – including some employees of state companies – to export rice and cooking oil illegally. According to the daily al-Ahram, hoarding of rice by wholesalers has pushed up the price of the grain by 35% this year, while 200 containers per day are sold to Turkey and Syria.

“What is happening,” the newspaper claims, is that that traders are storing basic items such as rice and barley, hoarded in barns and in large quantities, and are reluctant to send it to the rice mills in order to raise the price of this strategic commodity”. The al-Ahram report, headlined, “Conspiracy to Monopolize Rice,” demands physical inspection of containers leaving Egyptian ports.
The rest of the story is predictable. Once the government relies on young men with guns to police its merchants, hoarding will only get worse. The Egyptian revolution has cracked down on the commercial elite that ran the country’s economy for the past 60 years, and the elite will find ways to transfer as much of its wealth to safety as it can. The normal chain of distribution will break down and “revolutionary committees” will take control of increasingly scarce supplies. Farmers won’t get fuel and fertilizer, and domestic supplies will fail.

The Egyptian government will go to the International Monetary Fund and other aid agencies for loans – the government reportedly will ask for $7 billion to tide things over – and foreign money at best will buy a few months’ respite. The currency will collapse; the government will print IOUs to tide things over; and the Egyptian street will reject the IOUs as the country reverts to barter.

 

EGYPT WIL ACTUALLY STARVE

It will look like the Latin American banana republics, but without the bananas. That is not meant in jest: few people actually starved to death in the Latin inflations. Egypt, which imports half its wheat and a great deal of the rest of its food, will actually starve.

Revolutions don’t only kill their children. They kill a great many ordinary people. The 1921 famine after the Russian civil war killed an estimated five million people, and casualties on the same scale are quite possible in Egypt as well. Half of Egyptians live on $2 a day, and that $2 is about to collapse along with the national currency, and the result will be a catastrophe of, well, biblical proportions.  (Spengler must know, it was not the revolution here, it was the war on the Russian baby workers state and blockade which caused the famine of 1921, 1922 and later. NO 2 OBAMA’S NEW OUTREACH TO ISLAM

Bin Laden’s death gives Mr. Obama a chance to underscore the belief among many administration officials that the terror leader’s relevance had already begun to diminish during the so-called Arab Spring. Mr. Obama, who has made outreach to the Muslim world a cornerstone of his presidency, plans to describe the Islamic world as at a crossroads, said U.S. officials, making the case that bin Laden represented a failed approach of the past while populist movements brewing in the Middle East and North Africa represent the future.

Mr. Rhodes said timing of the speech remains in flux but Mr. Obama could deliver it before leaving on a five-day trip to Europe on May 23. The White House is already telegraphing the message of the coming speech to the Islamic world by placing American diplomats on Arab television and radio, according to U.S. officials.

 

ALL OBAMA ROADS LEADING INTO ANTISEMITISM

The White House is still debating, however, whether Mr. Obama should lay out a concrete plan for revitalizing the stalled Arab-Israeli peace process.

Many Arab governments have been pressing Mr. Obama to publicly outline his own parameters for the creation of an independent Palestinian state as a way to exert more pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who visits Washington next week. These diplomats said the Mideast’s democratic surge is raising expectations among their own populations for an end to the decades-old Arab-Israeli conflict.

White House officials said they are still reassessing the monumental changes in the Middle East and whether an aggressive U.S. push to resume peace talks would likely be successful.

Last week, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas forged a unity government with the militant group Hamas, which the U.S. and European Union designate a terrorist group. Israeli officials have already cited Hamas’s role in the Palestinian Authority as the reason why Mr. Netanyahu is unlikely to unveil any major new overtures to the Palestinians during his Washington trip.

“We need to sort through these issues as we consider the next steps on a peace process,” Mr. Rhodes said. The May 20 Obama-Netanyahu meeting “is a chance for the U.S. and Israel to review the full range of issues, from Iran to the regional change to the peace process.”

Arab officials and Mideast peace advocates say there are major risks for the U.S. and Israel in delaying a return to talks.

Mr. Abbas is pressing the United Nations to recognize an independent Palestinian state during the September gathering of the General Assembly. He has specifically cited his frustration with the lack of progress in negotiations with Mr. Netanyahu, as well as the rising expectations among his own people as a result of the Arab Spring.

“There’s clearly a lot going on in the region, and there’s a case to be made and some are making it, that now is not the time,” said Jeremy Ben-Ami, founder of J-Street, a U.S. lobbying group that advocates Washington laying out its own peace plan, something Israel’s government opposes. “But we do believe that the only way to avoid U.N. action on a Palestinian state in a unilateral kind of way is for either the president or prime minister to put forward” a peace plan.

A number of lawmakers have cited Hamas’s new alliance with Mr. Abbas as reason for the White House to move slowly in restarting the peace process. Mr. Netanyahu is scheduled to address a joint session of Congress during his Washington visit as well the annual conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the U.S.’s most powerful pro-Israel lobby.

Avigdor Lieberman, Israel’s foreign minister, on Tuesday broke with Israel’s policy of keeping quiet on the regional turmoil, saying the international community’s response to repression of demonstrations in Syria, Lybia and Yemen has been “inconsistent” and “confusing.” In remarks delivered before Mr. Netanyahu’s scheduled White House visit, Mr. Lieberman added that the confusion sends a “damaging message to the people of the Middle East, and further erodes the path to peace, security and democracy for our region.”

Mr. Obama is also scheduled to meet Jordan’s King Abdullah II in Washington next week. The Arab monarch has been at the forefront of Mideast leaders calling for the U.S. to impose its own peace plan on the Israelis and Palestinians. Jordan’s population is 60% Palestinian, and the king has faced his own popular protests in recent months.

HOW THE JEWS CAN DEFEAT OBAMA AND US IMPERIALISM

The excellent DEBKAfile reporting agency has the following piece concerning the current visit of prime Minister Netanyahu to Obama in Washington. It is rivetting and vital knowledge, yet it still does not get to grips with the situation, because it offers no way forward for Jews in terms of leadership

The heading of the Debka report (http://www.debka.com/article/8893/) is that the talks today are stressing nuclear issues, Iran´s and Israel´s. But why should there be even one word spoken about the nuclear weapons of Israel? On the other hand there should be plenty about the nuclear bomb being built by Islam and Iran.

Even the Debka heading shows that for Israel US imperialism is nothing less than the road to destruction.

On this basis alone it would be much better for Netanyahu to refuse to meet with Obama at all. At the very least the agenda should be on the table in advance and every word spoken should be published by Israel.

The extreme minimum would be for Netanyahu to publish a statement in which he lays down the central requirements of the Jews of Israel, following their experience in 1939 to 45, then 48, then 1967 etc.

There is a precedent for this kind of situation. The Russian delegation under Leon Trotsky went to the Brest Litovsk Treaty, (Brest is a city near the Polish border in modern Belarus)

I am not suggesting there is an exact parallel between Israel of today facing Obama, and the newly formed Workers Republic of latye 1917 facing the powers around Germany, with the rest of the rabid Imperialist lands like Britain waiting in the wings, engaged in war to finish off the Workers Republic. But there must be similarities.

Lenin decided that the Workers State could not survive if Germany decided to invade Moscow. They signed in order to gain a breathing space. Once again I am not saying that the position of Netanyahu is so weak as that.

But what is certain is that: It is true that Obama has to be challenged. The question of how and when is also of extreme importance.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was assured of a much friendlier and correct  White House welcome for his fifth encounter with President Barack Obama July 6 – compared with the unmannerly treatment meted out to him on March 23. Still, five time bombs with short fuses are ticking under their seats on issues on which the US president’s internationalist, diplomacy-first attitude is far from Israel’s survivalist, security-first strategic outlook on a number of basic issues. Both will try to overcome their mutual mistrust.
Their respective approaches to Iran’s drive for a nuclear weapon and the future of Israel’s reputed nuclear arsenal are the most combustible of their five topics of discussion. The US and Israel clearly do not see eye on eye on how and when to take action against Iran.

On June 17, defense secretary Robert Gates said Iran was developing the capability to fire scores or hundreds of missiles at Europe. Ten days later, he reported Iran had enough low-enriched uranium to start building two atom bombs within two years. So by the time the new UN sanctions and the complementary measures Obama approved Friday, July 2 start biting and affecting Tehran’s decision-making, the last moment for halting the construction of a nuclear bomb will have come and gone.
On June 28, Adm. Mullen, Chairman of the Joint US Chiefs of Staff commented that the US and Israel are “in sync” over the time needed to find out if the sanctions are working or not.
debkafile’s military sources describe this assertion as a pious hope rather than established fact, because even the US president cannot be absolutely sure Israel will not launch a surprise attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities before it is too late. Until now, he applied the brakes on Israeli action by two means: One by a constant flow of senior American military and intelligence figures to Israel every couple of days and frequent invitations to security minister Ehud Barak and Israeli military leaders to visit the US; second, by a personal presidential pledge to Netanyahu that if Israel holds off from striking Iran, he will continue to back Israel on matters essential to its security.
One such matter is the policy of ambiguity with regard to Israel’s nuclear arsenal, i.e., never confirming its existence.
For Jerusalem, this pledge was cast in doubt by Washington’s decision, against Israeli protests, to support the resolution calling for a nuclear-free Middle East tabled by Egypt for the Arab and Non-Aligned blocs at the Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference that took place in Washington in May. This motion demanded that Israel join the NPT and accept international inspectors of its nuclear facilities. Israel was further angered by the fact that Iran and its nuclear weapons program were not even mentioned in the resolution.

Although US officials explained that a vote for the motion was obligatory given Obama’s comprehensive quest for a world without nuclear weapons. Although Israel’s government and security leaders never said this in so many words, they felt the administration had let them down on a key pledge and freed them of the commitment to refrain from a surprise attack on Iran.

Debka in the above remarks has very clearly explained the situation. There is now deep distrust between all sections of the Israeli Government and all sections of the Obama Regime.

This is indeed something new. No matter how bad the previous Presidents of the US were, the fiction that they would stand by Israel was always, somehow, maintained.

That has been totally torn asunder. The Israeli people, and it is also certain the people around Netanyahu, NO LONGER TRUST THE AMERICAN REGIME OF OBAMA.

What that leaves out, to put it simply so that those dolts can understand, Netanyahu is NOT the same as Livni, because a very serious election has intervened, when the vast majority decided that Livni would no longer be the leader of the Jews, and Netanyahu was put in Livni´s  place BY THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL.

That kind of confusion by Israpundit, whose political line is as farcical as it is dangerous, has to be consciously opposed.

We on 4international are far from saying that Netanyahu is our hero, but we are saying in opposition to this treacherous Israpundit, that there is a difference between the Netanyahu Government and the previous Livni Government.

As we said above the essence of the matter is distrust. Livni was full of trust for the Arabs, before she led in the pulling of Jewish civilians and military from the Gaza. Livni also trusted Sharon and Bush.

The great gain of the Debka analysis is that it pinpoints that this trust is no longer there between the Israelis and the American Government. This is not a small matter in the whole post 1948 relations between these two pivotal states.

The Israeli prime minister and US president, in their talks Tuesday, must therefore forge a new “nuclear accord” governing both Iran and Israel.

*(Here I must confess I do not understand the Debka method, or are they being a little ironic. As they said already the trust is gone)

Assent on this question could ease the discord on four other key issues:
1.  Netanyahu says the “proximity talks,” formally started two months ago, have never really taken off, and progress on the topics at issue with the Palestinians demand direct talks for which he is fully prepared at any moment and for which Mahmoud Abbas has pre-conditions. The Israeli prime minister will discuss with the US president various formats for getting this dialogue on track, including a US-Saudi “Marshall Plan” for a Palestinian state on the West Bank and Gaza Strip that came up during Saudi King Abdullah’s visit to the White House on June 29.

2.   They will also explore ways for Israel to go back to construction in Jerusalem and the West Bank settlements, even nominally, after the 10-month freeze expires on Sept. 26 to ease the pressure on Netanyahu at home. Several Knesset factions held off until after the prime minister’s White House visit a bill requiring the government to seek a parliamentary majority for any further suspension of construction. The US will demand closer monitoring of any future freeze.

The idea of seeking a majority before there is any future suspension of building in the “settlements”. Things in Israel move slowly but they do move. Reminds one of the English revolutionaries in the Cromwellian revolution. This issue alone is the most fundamental. At stake is the fact that to satisfy Abbas there will have to be at least 300,000 Jews moved out of the “West Bank” so that these Muslims can have their Muslim only statelet (like Bosnia, like Kosovo, like Armenia etc)

3.  The crisis between Turkey and Israel. So far, Washington had avoided guaranteeing to withhold its support from a UN Assembly motion calling for an international commission to probe the flotilla incident in which Israeli commandos boarded a Turkish vessel leading a convoy for breaking Israel’s Gaza blockade and ended in a clash in which 9 Turkish activists were killed and 6 Israelis injured.
Israel’s eased embargo on civilian goods to Gaza was widely welcomed.

The two leaders will explore a possible joint US-Israeli stand against Turkish Prime Minister Tayyep Recip Erdogan in view of his deepening bonds with the Tehran-Damascus-Hizballah-Hamas bloc.

4.  They will also discuss how the US and Israel can work together against the continued flow of heavy weaponry, including ballistic missiles, from Syria to the Lebanese Shiite terrorist Hizballah.

 

At the start of this month Caroline Glick came closest to the position of Trotsky and Lenin in the Brest Litovsk treaty talks

(By the way, the very first thing which Trotsky did when he made his appearance at the talks, he being preceded by other Russian members of the team, was to end the cosy and friendly relations with the Germans. Little things, like insisting that the Russian team had a separate place to have their tea breaks etc, on the basis that there were issues that needed to be discussed, were not little things at all. At the same time Trotsky was eyeing up the opposition, to see who were the front men, and to understand who were the real powers on the German side, concluding that it was the German Army High Command, not even at the conference. Netanyahu needs to have the same formality established)

It is on the issue of the inter play of respective forces that Glick is so correct and well worth listening to:

What this means is that Netanyahu is well placed to stand up to Obama’s pressure. If he plays his cards wisely, he can say no to Obama and avoid an open confrontation. For instance, instead of agreeing to extend the building prohibition, Netanyahu should say that he is willing to discuss that demand in face-to-face negotiations with Abbas. Rather than agree to Abbas’s preconditions, Netanyahu should say that he is willing to listen to Abbas’s position in face-to-face negotiations. And so on and so forth. Such statements by Netanyahu will take the pressure for making concessions off him and put Obama and Abbas on the spot.

Even more importantly, it will buy Israel time.

And buying time should be Israel’s chief goal with respect to Washington today. Since taking office, Obama has repeatedly demonstrated that he will not reconsider his fundamentally hostile view of Israel. Obama’s basic belief that Israel’s strength and size are to blame for all the violence and radicalism in the Arab world is not subject to change, regardless of how clearly and continuously events on the ground prove it wrong.

EVEN WORSE for Israel, Obama is not alone in this view. Indeed, as a report in Foreign Policy this week makes clear, Obama’s position on Israel is moderate when compared to the positions being staked out in influential policy circles in the US military.

On Wednesday, Foreign Policy published the content of a memo written last month in the US Military’s Central Command. The memo, a “Red Team” assessment of how the US should position itself vis-à-vis the likes of Hamas and Hizbullah, reveals that among key members of the US policy-making community, Israel is viewed with extreme hostility.

The leaked memo reportedly reflects the views of a significant number of senior and mid-level officers in Centcom, including large numbers of intelligence officers, as well as a significant number of area analysts stationed in the Middle East. It argues that it is wrong for the US to lump jihadist movements like Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaida and Hizbullah in one group.

Dismissing the significance of the identical religious dogma that stands at the root of these movements, the memo asserts that Hamas and Hizbullah are pragmatic and important social forces with which the US must foster good relations.

The memo calls for the US to support the integration of Hizbullah forces into the Lebanese military. It also calls for the US to encourage and permit the integration of Hamas forces into the US-trained Palestinian security forces.

As far as Israel is concerned, the memo blames the Jewish state for the US’s failure to date to adopt these recommended policies. Moreover, the memo’s authors condemn Israel’s maritime blockade of Gaza as keeping “the area on the verge of a perpetual humanitarian collapse.”

The Centcom memo also condemns Israel’s July 2006 decision to respond to Hizbullah’s unprovoked bombardment of northern Israel and its unprovoked cross-border attack against an IDF patrol in which five soldiers were killed and two were kidnapped and subsequently murdered.

Denying Hizbullah’s subservient relationship with the Iranian regime, the report claims that Israel’s decision to use force to defend itself against Hizbullah’s acts of war served to strengthen Hizbullah’s ties to Teheran.

What this memo shows is that Israel has little hope of seeing a change for the better in US policy in the near future and its best bet today is to play for time. Next week at the Oval Office, Netanyahu should capitalize on his advantage four months ahead of the congressional elections and put the burden on Obama and Abbas to show their good intentions.

Playing for time is what Glick suggests should be considered. This is what the Bolsheviks did clearly at Brest Litovsk. And was Lenin a conservative???

That idea is laughable but instructional, especially when one looks at this unchallenged comment on Israpundit, from a commenter who claims to live in the Negev:

Glick has lost it. We know she is still in BB’s tank but her advice is to stall for time avoiding confrontation? BB can’t avoid confrontation w/out conceding the kitchen sink and he’s already close to that.

What is to be gained by avoiding the inevitable confrontation that will come like a tsunami after the elections, no matter what the results?

Israel should tell Hussein to go Fuck himself and take on Obama personally with everything we can throw at him. We have lot of cards and leverage but chickenshit BB and Barak too cowardly to use them.

Glick did raise a key point BB and Barak are scared out of their gourds of the Israeli leftist media and that’s what they fear most, more than Hussein. They both want power for it’s own sake along with greed and personal megalomania.

OK, we might have to pay a steep economic price. So I’ll herd goats till it blows over. No big deal.

You can see how utterly subjective is the comment above.

It goes without saying that there is no examination of the real correlation of forces between the US and Israel. For example, where are the American ordinary people, especially the American Christian community, on the issue? Are the Christian Evangelized well organized. What about the American Jews? Where do they stand. And many other issues need to be analysed. But the writer above makes it all subjective in the thought that he will herd goats. Big deal that!

Certainly Glick is right. But the real question to follow up on Glick is “waiting for what”? Who can come to the aid of Israel in this coming periood? That is the central question to which 4international will return

ISRAEL WILL ATTACK IRAN AND MUST BE SUPPORTED BY SOCIALISTS

The clock is now ticking down to war between Israel and Iran, with the US Government lining up with Iran, that is with the Iranian Fascist regime, and everything about the US Fascists, Nazis and Jew Haters, and their alliance with their pet babies the Iranian Fascists right out in the open.

This is now totally unavoidable, as surely as night follows day.

This is what we on 4international have said consistently for at least 2 years. We base our analysis on a number of things.

1. That the Jews are indeed a real nation

2. That Islam is antisemitic to the core. The real essence of the Arab rulers in the Arab League and all those Islamist countries in the UN is to prevent Infidels having a base in THEIR lands.

3. The Mullahs of Iran are motivated by Jew Hatred just as much as were the German Nazis

4. In fact during the Holocaust there was at every level close relations between Islam and the German Nazis. That is fact, hidden but easily proven.

The key to the whole situation is the US Government and how the US elite and to some extent the EU elite is lining up with Islam.

The reason for this is extremely simple and if you are a Trotskyist just a little obvious. They both seek a union together against the threatened socialist revolution.

DEBKAfile‘s military sources cite some Western intelligence and nuclear weapons experts as predicting that Iran could turn out nuclear weapons some time in the next 12 months.

This estimate is based on Tehran’s announcement that 7,000 centrifuges are in operation to enrich uranium. If all those machines were to work at top speed day and night, seven days a week, they could produce enough weapons-grade uranium to build a bomb in 60 days, say some intelligence sources. According to American experts, given the current rate of the program’s development, Iran will be in a position to manufacture as many as 60 nuclear bombs and warheads in 12 to 18 months.

This judgment was confirmed by Israel’s military intelligence (AMAN) chief, Maj. Gen. Amos Yadlin in his latest briefing to the cabinet Monday, April 20. He reported that Iran is going all-out for enriched uranium from overseas to shorten the process.

Japanese sources recently reported that a North Korean boat shipped a large quantity to Iran earlier this year. According to the big-circulation The Nikkei, the North Korean vessel’s hold carried a secret cargo of uranium highly-enriched to 50-60 percent. The ship set out for Iran in December, moving moved at a leisurely pace so as not to call attention from Western spy satellites, surveillance vessels and warships. Earlier this year, the illegal consignment was dropped at an Iranian port for transport to a facility near Tehran, according to the Japanese paper.

Yadlin noted that extreme economic crisis has not delayed Tehran’s headlong nuclear progress or curtailed its designs on other Middle East countries – Hizballah’s subversive activities in Egypt are not a lone instance. Inflation is officially put at 30 percent but is probably closer to 50 percent, while unemployment is deepening, yet Tehran upped the 2009 appropriation for its nuclear program by 15 percent.

Rather than translating the crisis into leverage for persuading Iran to abandon its nuclear objectives, the Israeli intelligence chief noted that the Obama administration has opened the door to dialogue with all the extremists of the Middle East, including Iran, albeit “with open eyes.”

Iran, for its part, is accelerating its nuclear program, taking full advantage of the undercover communications with Washington which are aimed at gaining Tehran’s cooperation for the US war effort in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

If as we on 4international believe that the Jews are a nation, and have been for thousands of years, then a number of things follow

ANTISEMITISM OF A VERY DEVELOPED NATURE RAVAGES OUR LIVES

It is not just Obama that is the problem for Israel although he is indeed a deadly problem. There is every chance that Obama has been recruited by the CIA from an early stage and that this Nazi created organization has groomed Obama for this present stage in the unprecedented economic crisis of US Imperialism.

People in general do not give enough attention to the ability of the ruling capitalist or imperialist class (some use the word “elite”) to think ahead and to plan, planning which is sometimes measured in decades.

This was brought home to Irish nationalists when it became apparent that the very top leaders in Sinn Fein, I mean the ones who are sitting today at the very top of the Stormont Good Friday Government along with the right neanderthals of Paisley, were paid money as young people and kept on the rolls of British Intelligence.

You seldom have firm proof of these things. But you can work it out by people´s actions. It just seems odd that Obama comes along at this point to promote the deadly Islam.

NYT: Give the Palestinians what they want or else.

As the Netanyahu government nears completion, everyone is piling on the pressure to succumb to Palestinian demands. The EU made it clear again, if Israel rejects the two-state solution, it wont be business as usual between Israel and the EU.

Yesterday the NY Times, the publisher of the antisemitc Oliphant cartoon, editorialized,

It will not be that hard to judge by his deeds, and relatively soon, whether Mr. Netanyahu is serious about seeking peace with the Palestinians. His government is expected to win parliamentary approval next week.

After that, we suggest that he start with freezing further settlement construction and expansion in the West Bank, as Israel has so often promised but failed to do. He should lift roadblocks between Palestinian cities and towns that are not needed for security. In East Jerusalem, he should stop the humiliating eviction of Palestinians. And in Gaza, he must expand exceptions to the blockade to allow the import of cement and reconstruction materials.  

If Mr. Netanyahu is serious about being a partner for peace, he will not get in the way of the militant group Hamas entering a Palestinian unity government with the rival Fatah faction — as long as that government is committed to preventing terrorism and accepts past agreements between Israel and the Palestinians. He will recognize that the United States has its own interests in diplomacy with Syria, Iran and the Palestinians — and allow the Obama administration the freedom to pursue them. He also will not start a preventive war with Iran. [..]

As The Times’s Ethan Bronner reported, Israel is increasingly isolated and facing its worst diplomatic crisis in two decades following its Gaza war. Mr. Netanyahu has understandably raised alarms with the expectation that his foreign minister will be an ultranationalist leader with what are widely considered to be anti-Arab views. Failing to pursue peace talks with the Palestinians would only make things worse by causing frictions with the new Obama administration and with Europe.

Essentially what the Times and the EU are saying is, don’t bother me with the niceties, just give the Palestinians what they want. Gone is the pretext that the US or the EU won’t compromise Israel’s security. Gone is the commitment of the Quartet to allow the parties to negotiate the terms of the agreement.

In its place is the demand, nay the threat, give the Palestinians what they want or else. No demands are made on the Palestinians.

The Times suggests that Israel is controlling America, preventing it from pursuing its interests. Its that damned lobby again. More ominous is the idea that the US, if constraints were removed in Congress, could cut a deal with Syria and Iran. Or are they also suggesting that if Israel doesn’t provide the US with bargaining chips, such as the Golan, then Israel is preventing the US from pursuing its interests.

The NYT lowers the bar for acceptance of Hamas to the level that they accept former agreements. Hamas prefers to only “respect” them. No where is there a demand that they honour them. Netanyahu has committed to abide by all Israel’s signed agreements, which by the way do not include the Roadmap which is a blueprint and not an agreement. The NYT wants more from Israel than that it honour all agreements. It wants her to make new agreements. It certainly doesn’t expect the Palestinians to honour their agreements.

This attack by the EU and the NYT culminates a long standing plan of the State Department and others to impose peace. It started with the insertion of the Saudi Plan into the Roadmap. It continued with the publication of The Israel Lobby and the prosecution of Steve Rosen and Keith Weissman of AIPAC. Four years ago, I wrote “Viable State” trumps “secure borders” in which I took the position that the Saudi Plan was the State Department Plan. A few months after this article I commented

“Friends of Israel should recognize reality here. Israel is merely going through the motions of negotiating and agreeing or disagreeing while the reality is that the outcome has been predetermined and forced on Israel.”.

The selection of Gen Jones and Samantha Power to serve in the Obama administration is further evidence of the long standing plan to force the Saudi Plan on Israel. It is no accident that during the period when Netanyahu was forming his government the attacks reached a crescendo to affect the makeup of the ultimate coalition. Just a day before the above noted editorial appeared, the NYT published a Op-Ed by Roger Cohen in the New York Times (The Fierce Urgency of Peace), advising on the right way to deal with Israel, based on a “Bipartisan Statement on U.S. Middle East Peacemaking.”. This report enshrined the thinking of Power and Jones as to the terms of the settlement and how to get there.

In Obama’s recent press conference he said “.. the status quo is unsustainable. That it is critical for us to advance a two-state solution”.

Yet it is critical that Israel not advance the two state solution especially on Palestinian terms.

The pressure applied to Netanyahu will be unbearable.

It became clear to us on 4international that the event of the Gaza War brought all of the antisemites of Western Europe, the US and even Canada, out into the open. Calling themselves the “left” (but not really left at all, be advised) they marched along with Arabs and Islamists behind banners and slogans which were evidently and obviously antisemitic.

This is the new Nazism. It is the new antisemitism. It takes many forms indeed.

In my own experience here are a few.

Journalists who are attacking Israel over the Gaza war but who are totally quiet about the 8000 rockets which were hitting Israel for 8 years.

People who are quiet over the fact that Hamas is a Holocaust denying organization.

These are the new Nazis no matter how polite they may sound, and even though some may speak in clipped upper class English accents.

On the San Francisco march strode a woman and her two pretty children behind a banner which it appeared they wrote themselves. “Jews are Murderers” they proclaimed to the world. And it looked as if they thought this was normal.

On the Toronto march a number of Jews who gathered in a counter-demonstration were told by the Toronto police they could not be protected by the police and it was safer for these Jews to go home, and presumably stay at home!

This is of course antisemitism of a very developed nature.

So we are grateful to Ted Belman for introducing the subject. This must indeed be the basis for much discussion on the way forward for Israel.

YAMIT82…NOBODY IS LAUGHING OUT LOUD

Israpundit is a very important site for the Jewish people especially now that there has to be organized a great discussion on just how Israel can face up to its enemies.

The news which has emerged from a source within the talks going on between the Israeli ruling class of Livni and Olmert, with the Palestinian Arab fascists presided over by the US Imperialists of Bush, led in the talks by Rice, shows the enormous dangers which Israel and the lives of all Jews are in. This is why we on 4international are very critical of some of the discussions that are taking place there. The most recent issue is over the issue of apostasy and the general position of religion in the Jewish strugggle. Nobody really likes tackling this but it has to be tackled head on if we are to have the discussion necessary for the saving of Israel from its enemies.

REPORT SHOWS GREAT DANGER TO ISRAEL…BUT ISRAPUNDIT BETRAYS

Israel is now in the greatest danger that it has ever been in during all of its life. We on 4international have repeatedly emphasised that the way in which Yugoslavia was destroyed (wiped off the map) was through an alliance of American, British and German Imperialism which set up reactionary alliances with Fascist/Nazi entities within Yugoslavia. Those entities were the Fascists around Tudjman in Croatia, the Islamofascists in Bosnia around Izetbegovic, and the Thaci/Haradinaj Fascists and Stalinists of Kosovo. Weak on their own, nevertheless the role of US and NATO/EU Imperialism with all of its power, especially Military power linked to Media power, meant that the Serbs were isolated and defeated. Much of this went on behind the scenes, the public were not aware because the public always underestimates the role of conspiracy and secrecy in how the ruling Capitalist class works.

This is the great danger to the Jews today.
