This was a total change of policy by America. We can say TOTAL CHANGE from George Bush who made and kept a deal with Gadhafi against the Jihadists, to Obama who broke that deal, turned traitor to Gadhafi on the deal.

 

Chris Stevens entered into the situation THEN. He somehow was transported in among the Jihadists, and should we believe that it was aboard a Greek cargo ship.

They the BBC probably have hundreds working on this. How could I tell my small readership at 1 o’clock but the BBC waited? They essentially waited for 5 hours. And they have I bet hundreds working on their foreign affairs.

 

The answer is that the BBC edits the news, and edits in a bad way as far as truth is concerned.

The Apaches hit targets near the Libyan town of Brega during the latest wave of Nato strikes against forces loyal to Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, the MoD said.

“This successful engagement demonstrates the unique capabilities brought to bear by attack helicopters,” said Lt Gen Charles Bouchard, Commander of Operation Unified Protector.

“We will continue to use these assets whenever and wherever needed, using the same precision as we do in all of our missions.”

The Apaches attacked and destroyed two military installations – a radar site and an armed checkpoint – near Brega, the BBC reported. It said that French Gazelle helicopters also took part in simultaneous attacks on different targets in Libya for the first time.

A Ministry of Defence statement said: “UK Apache Attack Helicopters have taken part in co-ordinated operations over Libya as part of Nato’s Operation Unified Protector to protect civilians under UNSCR 1973. All of the aircraft recovered safely to HMS Ocean.”

Introducing helicopters was “an inevitable intensification” of the campaign, the “implied task” of which was the removal of Col Gaddafi, he said – despite that not being a specific target of the UN Security Council resolution authorising the use of military force.

But the use of Apaches has alarmed some MPs about the prospect of an escalation in the conflict and the danger to British lives.

Labour MP Graham Allen, who opposed the UK’s involvement, criticised the “mission creep” on Saturday and called for a fresh Commons debate and vote.

“The way out of this mess is not to keep cranking up the military hardware and having so-called ‘implied tasks’ added on against the express view of the House of Commons,” he said.

“What we need to do is figure out how we can get a political solution that will last for several generations in Libya rather than this adventure which has no prospect of coming to a close.”

Earlier this week, the Defence Secretary Liam Fox acknowledged the “increased risk” attached to the deployment of attack helicopters, but stressed they would play a key role in bringing a halt to the dictator’s attacks on his own people.

David Cameron announced British Apache helicopters were joining the Libyan offensive on May 27 after thinking “seriously” about their deployment.

They are specifically designed to hunt and destroy tanks and for closer-quarters combat, operating at lower altitudes than the RAF’s Tornado and Typhoon aircraft already active in Libya

The helicopters, which are flown by the Army Air Corps, carry a mix of weapons including rockets, Hellfire missiles and a 30mm chain gun.
